I actually did a little netplay with a 3 bar connection and it honestly wasn't bad. My opinion might change after playing some offline casuals this weekend, though!

re: netplay, I heard people saying that the PS3 version has some issues but the PS4 version seems more stable? Can anyone corroborate that?

From what I can gather (and from talking with my Japanese friends), there are definitely tiers in this game but everyone can compete pretty well thanks to the system. EXAMU games /generally/ tend to be this way to varying degrees. My gut tells me it won't be as skewed as Aquapazza was, but time will tell.

I've yet to netplay anyone yet but I would like to try. General impression is that it's better than Aquapazza but not great? I'm really liking Homura so far, by the by. I still don't have a great feeling for the general gameflow but she feels very strong. She has good damage, good pokes and a good DP. Heart feels really good too! Her ground game feels a little weird since she retains her step dash from Arcana Heart instead of having a run, but her air Homing more than makes up for that. That and she feels like Heart in a different game and not some unrelated character - a good amount of her basics from AH carry over and play into her combo theory. The only thing that is tripping me up is her button remappings for the DPB system (AH3 6C becomes 6A, AH3 2C becomes 2E, AH3 2E becomes 2C, et cetera).

re: Japanese wiki, I think there could just be a linked translation guide for it. I was just thinking there's no reason to re-do work, but putting it on Mizuumi (if you guys reach out to Bellreisa for it) is also a fine alternative as long as the wiki gets filled out properly. I'll probably also be streaming later tonight once the game goes up (assuming it's today).

Objectively, I think she'd probably be more similar to AH1/2 Heart since those games are more ground-based and the screen in this game is much smaller than AH3. That's sorta what I'm expecting to see from her.

I'm hype for the Heart footage too, but seeing Homura looking pretty strong is very nice to see! Really hype to main her!

Her homing is air only and I'm going to assume you probably can't block during it? I'm not sure what effect it will have honestly, but I doubt it will allow her to ignore neutral. I'm also assuming she has a normal roll on the ground when she uses the D button.

Meter Gain is pretty much the same as it was in vanilla with some minor adjustments. Having one meter at the start of a round which regens isn't really a problem with gameflow at all since the pace of the game is very fast and meter is used for numerous actions (regular Supers, Homing Cancels, Guard Cancels, and Arcana Supers).

What is Fraudsgarden? Richmond isn't HORRIDLY far from where we are...might be fun to go maybe? What is the expected turn out? EDIT: Oops, forgot that a bunch of us are going to west coast for the weekend of 10/2, so we won't be able to make that. lol

I'm not going to this...don't know too many AH players that are, sadly. The issue is that not really too much has happened with AH3 as of late - the game itself, while still very fun, is essentially the same as when it launched. There are no current plans to bring Six Stars to console, and even so, the game is exactly what we have already with just one new character. I wouldn't stress out about it -- I know some AH players are going so I guess get casuals in where you can and perhaps a side-tournament?

2B has a good starting proration but it's only useful as a starter in a guaranteed punish situation. Otherwise, you'll wanna use something like 2AAB as a grounded hit-confirm which leaves you able to to defend or keep attacking depending on the situation.

I'm really excited to play when I get to Japan in a few weeks! Also, I forgot to post it here but there was a very good NPB tournament at EXAMU Cup this past weekend. Hopefully you guys were able to watch it. If not, I'm sure EXAMU will upload the stream archive to YT as they did last year. Game looks really fun!

Well, if it's following pattern, Heart should be the last one. Still, adding more characters I actually know (idk anything about NitroPlus admittedly) makes me much more excited for the game.

I think I am going to AWA this year... Also, MikuruX, a friend of mine is also speaking with XSeed and seeing if they can come out to AWA. If you'd like, maybe you'd wanna talk with him to see if you guys can coordinate? He was the one who got XSeed to show up to a recent Senran Kagura panel at Momocon.

Without derailing this too much, I'm just gonna say long story short I don't REALLY think that's gonna be a problem with this game. lol Despite this translator voicing his opinion openly, other games that feature very charged sexual content (Senran Kagura) have come over to the states, had their controversy, but despite that, sold well enough to warrant continued and immediate localization (Senran Kagura Estival Versus came out in March and is already slated to be brought over to the states before the end of 2015). Above all of that, a lot of anime fans know Saya no Uta at the very least and like that and other Nitro Plus franchises, so I don't think it's really gonna matter to them. I hear your concern for the potential playerbase of the game when it comes out, but I don't think it's really gonna be an issue...
