Bloodcrave Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 dunno about shirou since i've only seen 1 vid of him, but some people in nicovideo said he can do 5k+ damage combos too this game is coming to ps2 right? oh man i just cannot wait!! i still have no idea who i'm gonna main in this game... saber, gilgamesh, berserker, archer, maybe even shirou? :P

Now hitting 50+hits that does 7500+HP Damage!? (Practically 3/4 of entire lifebar... WTF) Man, not even Berserker damage goes THAT high. I might declare Saber God Tier in this game. (But probably not. She can't back it up with good mix-up to break the foe's guard.) . OH MY GOD SABER IS THE FIST OF THE NORTH STAR JESUS CHRIST and who thought it was a good idea for Gilgamesh to have MVC2 Storm hail wtf srsly this game is insane

There's quite a bit of moves that are similar. (like the launcher multi-kick, the the fist combo super, the command grab, etc.) Then again, they are master/apprentice relationship. http://youtube.com/watch?v=15PEfTGNBZ8 FINALLY a good Shirou. Still not seeing the 4000~5000HP combo that 4r5 mentioned. But still good going for 3000+HP damage. But still, looks like Med Tier at best so far. And Rider seems to have gotten another alternative to combos rather then the chain loop. http://youtube.com/watch?v=6uf7p8Zm2s4 Lancer just got upgraded in better combos. Now can do a 5000+HP damage with full bar ending with Gae Borg and multiple spinning uppercut move. ---- Ya think they'll add more hidden chars then JUST Kirei/Sakura? Like Dark Saber, Taiga, Caster's master, Illya, etc?

MAD props to that shirou player, for as little as I've seen of him being played, for that guy to come up with those combos, he's amazing, cuz thats some intricate looking shit. And I'm pretty sure that lancer combo is corner specific, the dudes just damn good at putting them to the corner in the first part of the combo

And with the semi-infinite launcher combo in corner, I think he's a strong contender for high-med tier. Nice to see Archer upgraded his combo so he can throw in 2 chants in one combo. Bloodcrave Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 umm what exactly does that avalon super do? is it like a counter thing when the opponent hits saber? pretty cool though hmm watching the original vid from nicovideo, some people are saying things like when the number of hits turn red (or was it blue) it means the opponent can tech out of the combo? can any1 confirm this?

Effenhoog Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Saber's crap would be a lot less lame if A) it didn't look so dumb and B) there weren't a billion "omfg <3 Saber" people that might homogenize the played characters ratio into boringness with her like Slash Ky and Sol. Not that there's anything wrong with people liking Saber, but having to constantly see her and those dumb OTG relaunch combos would make the game far less interesting IMO. That said Gilgamesh looks as fun and annoying as ever, but I still want Caster's master.

She runs all over the place trying to throw a poke in to get some damage that while not bad, doesn't really do as much as the rest of the cast, yet takes more damage as soon as she fucks up. Great mix-up/oki game if she knows what she's doing though. ps.... omfg <3 Saber
