Diveman Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 how do you get extra colors for the characters?
TotheFace Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 pretty cool gimmick thing in online training mode. you can switch characters with each other, lol.
Hana Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Has anyone figured out how to set up private rooms or invite in Xrd for PS4? I can't find the option anywhere despite friends on PS3 telling me exactly where the options are. Searching for player matches yields no results either.
fluxcore Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Xrd's up on HK PSN on PS4. You have to search for it. Elphelt is bundled, didn't see DLC for Sin or colors. https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-hk/additional-character-sin-kiske/cid=JP0036-NPJB00652_00-ASIA000000000001 sin
Uncivilized Elk Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 If Smash players can switch to stock, turn off items, and input names at character select, I think we can turn one toggle in the options screen. Great, now we're comparing this game to how Smash settings were set up, made by the most notable hater of fighting games - Sakurai. Congratulations. I hope you're fucking happy. Also, learn2read to you as well. Was I complaining? I was correcting what the tweeter's point was as everyone missed it. So your response is completely misdirected. And I'm probably gonna leave the forum until NA Xrd is out because I'm mad jelly over all the people who got the imported versions.

So your response is completely misdirected. New players who can't tell the difference between FPS (or rather, don't care) will prefer the game to be shinier. A lot of people play fighting games by just loading them up and playing with friends locally. People who care about FPS will be able to find those settings and fix it as a two-second job. I think you're overreacting to this.
Spoonman Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 My ps3 JP copy was shipped a few hours ago, but then i come here and read all the comments about the ps3 version:\. I am a sad panda. Is the slowdown really that bad? Does it happen really so often that it justifies fubarduck saying it is 30fps for all purposes and intents? Thanks for the support guys, I feel an idiot for not getting the PS4 version. I just didn't feel like investing in a new arcade stick right now (when more and maybe crossplatform option might exist in the near future).

Dude calm down, all you have to do is set it to speed mode for solid 60fps and the graphical difference isn't that much apparently it only affects the particle effects and backgrounds. Also quality mode is apparently 60fps but with some frame drops.
ShinKdash Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 im soo sick of this 30fps paranoia... this needs to die.
LockedAndClush Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 I played the PS3 version on quality setting for three hours (and an hour in 1080p), and the gameplay per se was ALWAYS 60FPS. The special animations (intros, some OD's) were in 30FPS, and while annoying, it doesn't make the game any less enjoyable. I also didn't get drops on character select screen in versus. Here's a hint - clean your PS3's people.

NeoStrayCat Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Just to anwser "the00monkey's" question, did you pre-order the JP digital release? I'm probably guessing no, and if you missed it on that time, then you can't get , even though she's on the JP PS Store displayed there, the moonspeak if I read there mentions "Unavailable", which also means you cannot get her until the release of Leo until 12/18. (Well although those that did pre-order the JP digtal release will get her though.) Though as others mentioned there is the HK digital release which does come with though.
LockedAndClush Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 That is honestly great to hear, I feel a lot better about my purchase. Thanks for dropping in and reporting mate:)! Speed mode is still probably the way to go in the long run - a couple of hours is not enough to call the testing excessive. I did try some extreme stuff (May Ship with dual DI'd Tyrant Raves and stuff), but there still might be things that really break the gameplay. But they're probably all fixed in speed mode.

Still, incredibly better than fubarduck's "lol30fps" tweet. You tried the game, gave it a run of its money with a seemingly crowded/busy stage and then reported your findings in an educated manner. That makes me feel a lot better really. First thing i read this morning was his tweet and it was not pleasant in any way. Can I bother you with another question? Did you try out Speed setting too? I am curious to hear how it looks.

No greatly noticeable difference. Some OD's are a little simpler in terms of graphical effects (Sol's TR has a smaller explosion, or some of his DI moves have less flames around etc), but it doesn't give the impression of anything being missing. If we didn't have the toggle and the PS4 version, you would never know it's showing anything less.

Now i can wait for my ps3 copy to arrive, with no regrets. I see you are from Poland, would it be ok for me to add you? I m from Europe too and I would like to play the game online as soon as i pick up some fundamentals. ( I am a total arcsys newbie, even though i loved the looks of their games since the dc days)
Yukikaze Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 When are the colours released? and at the moment is the Sin unlock in the only thing in Xrd DLC section?
BladeOfJustice7 Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 So.... Now that we're on the topic of how amazing it is to finally play this game and NOT wake up from a dream... Quickest ways to grind W$ so far for people? Normally just training mode and VS are enough for me to unlock half a game's content. But Xrd seems to have really restrictive ways in which people earn their W$ compared to AC/ACR. Any recommendations? Trying to unlock my nigga's son, ASAP.

Well, watching all of the Story Mode gives you 100,000 W$. Other modes and such may be a grind, but whatever works.
9:02 PM Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 It's not +R bad is it? I was playing with 3 and 4 bars and the latency display was pretty consistent at between 3 and 7 frames. Not AC bad, but in all honesty I would say borderline unplayable unless you just want to hit buttons. Here's to hoping for a week 1 netcode patch like Persona.

nyyyyy Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 As expected, online seems to be shit for US players and no one else. I tuned into a stream yesterday and overheard someone complain about the online play of the game, just to see his frame delay in the lobby randomly jumping between 2 and 5 frames. Thats not the netcode, its people have 3rd world level internet. Wouldnt surprise me if a lot of them play wireless.

If you guys expect less than 2F consistently, may aswell give up now.
qwerty Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 I'm pleased to report that the PS3 version runs just fine offline, regardless of image quality. The bad news is... everything else. Netcode is abysmal, everything starts as delay 2 but progressively gets worse. The graphics have taken a pretty severe hit, worse than I would have imagined. Imagine playing a modern PC game on the lowest settings and you're not too far off. Granted, this is a cross generational port, and I wasn't expecting amazing netcode or arcade perfect visuals, but this has fallen short of my rather modest expectations.
Yukikaze Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 I agree I was also slightly dissapointed with 720p characters, they are quite jaggy. If any English guys have a fibre connection add me for some network testing. Mr_Freezy
