Well, to be honest I'm not surprised. Even with its more friendly approach, Xrd still scares casuals.

I believe these results are well within Arc's estimates. GG never really had potential to sell fast. The more important question is "Will it sell continously?". There's potential in the game's longevity.

They probably earn the bulk of their cash from arcades anyway. As much as I love Xrd and think it's a great game, it seems they added less sparkles to it than with BBCT. They prolly weren't expecting massive sales anyway.

I got the HK version of Elphelt working on the JP version of the game, so I'm guessing yes.

I think stores from the same continent are compatible, DLC wise. I mean, I sometimes get my DLCs from the USA store and I have no problem.

I don't think there's anything overtly surprising about those numbers. Plus looking at the games above it, portables are dominant, which is consistent with what has been said about the gaming market in Japan.

I got the HK version, so I guess I am going to see which version of the DLC I buy. Like some here have said, it is likely that the JP DLC works with the HK version.

 

Also, do you guys know the cost of the DLC colors and Leo? Also, do we know if the colors are per character or in groups?

nope! if you import (buying digital) youre likely to be paying the same price as if it was released in eu. You should also factor in that free dlc may not be available when it comes out here. Arc Systems has some problems with EU publishing and the game will be released when its released, if at all judging from the case of accent core plus...

I'm not surprised at all by the sales figure, seeing as how this game wasn't advertised whatsoever. Not gonna get people to buy it if they don't even know what it is. Either way, niche title. Was never gonna roll heads.

And it's that kind of mentality that's gonna make this series die out into obscruity again. How can it survive if even it's own fans won't support it? A lot of people's mains are gone. Get over it and adapt. Try out another character or maybe one of the new characters, you might surprise yourself. I've used Testament since the original XX2 and I find it highly ulikely he will be returning anytime soon. So screw it, I picked up Millia. As long as I get to play Guilty Gear I'll be happy.

Talking about sales.... it´s just the firsts days right? i mean, it´s perfectly possible that people are interested in this game but maybe prefer to wait 1 or 2 weeks before getting it, maybe there´s the chance that this game has legs and stills manages to sell decent amounts even after a lot of time since it´s release.

 

there´s games like valkyria chronicles that sold like total shit at first but ended being a million seller, let´s have some fair in this game
