Kim is <3

Her dragons shit is weird, though. What else can do you, other than the dash cancel? Tried using them in combos but so far I don't get the best situations to cancel.

In Instinct, you can shoot them out by pressing both Heavies.

Oh yeah. Now that the PC version is out, how are you all enjoying the game?

Rather well, though its not much really full speed and real sharp graphics, it runs fine as its with some slowdown at times, yeah, I know, its the PC not much with good specs that I can run ASW titles fine with though.

People, where can I find some Kim basics?

BTW this game is way better using a stick (got my PS3 > One adaptor). Can people actually play this thing using a One controller? I tried and it's painful.

Also, http://ki.infil.net/index.html is the greatest guide to a fighting game ever. I could not exaggerate those words.

And that thing about using controllers? I know many people in the competitive scene who use controllers just fine. It was like 1st nature. I use to play pad until I started playing stick recently. I think even Justin Wong at some point said it was better playing on pad for characters like Sabrewulf. Don't quote me on that though.

KI really is not the most pad-friendly game around, mostly because it has so many multi-button commands (and six normal buttons before that). The Xbox pad doesn't make it any better, either. At least the game is not too strict about the inputs.

It's about time someone added Castlevania references to a vampire character.

Carmine is not the character I thought of first, but she does look like him a lot. Maybe not as lockdown-focused, but the general idea is there. And honestly, the blood-casting themes have been used even before Carmine, it's tough to implement it in some other way.

Mira's a little more risk/reward than carmine I think, just since there's a finite limit on the number of health-spending specials she can do, whereas carmine can do things infinitely on 1hp. Still, really liking what we've seen of her playstyle. A lot of characters in KI are fun but none have really clicked with me directly, but Mira looks like a lot of fun to me.

Yeah, I worded it a bit poorly. I meant that both share similar design and gameplay concepts: Blood magicians who use their HP as a resource.

Here is Mira's trailer:

Got myself a Hori over the weekend and finally started playing this game now that Season 3 is out. Starting out with Omen and Fulgore, might pick up Shadow Jago later. Playing Omen honestly makes the game feel like BlazBlue.

It's not just his winpose that's the most badass, but also his idle stance. Looks like Gargos took a few tips from SF5 Bison. That smug arm fold is the sign of a pimp.

Oh and his HK negates fireballs? Can't wait for the stream chat to inevitably shout "BROKEN!" as they usually do when they see something that's really good.

Remind me, why would you want to HK fireballs rather than just, you know, block them?

I like this post, but i'm going to play devil's advocate here and say something like "conditioning the opponent" or something.

Depending on what his jump is like, it may be necessary to do st.HK. If he has a standard jump that's fast then you can either do that or just neutral jump.

You also have to consider if destroying the fireball does anything else too. We only see the gameplay so we don't know if there's anything meter-related going on.

I knew he was going to have a boss-like moveset, but I never imagined it would be THAT boss-like.

-Bison's SF5 walkspeed, st.LK, and Psycho Crusher

-Goro Teleport Stomp

-Quan Chi Portal attacks (punches instead of kicks) and minion summons

-Juggernaut Armor as Instinct Mode

-Boss Saiki command grab where you can punch them in the gut up to 3 times or knee them like Sagat.

Gargos is literally my dream come true: every single boss character I know rolled up into one.
