And no I'm not referring to that "it's teh 3D!" but the fact that it looks like a 3D game with last-generation graphics from those below-average scans. Wii port am confirmed?
Hecatom Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 i dont know why, but i feel that is a 2d game with hd graphics (mostly because tatsunoko is an animation house), im guessing that they are gonna release it in arcades (taito x2), and then in consoloes (ps3 and xbox360, im doubting about a wii version)

It's been confirmed by people who own the magazine and if you look at the high resolution magazine scan posted early the models don't just look very 3D but you see some angeled shots (I.E. Chun-Li). Though I personally don't care that much. It's just graphical style and their are more 2D sprite based fighting games coming out now then fighting games that use 3D models (Though I do find it eriee that they are using 3D models for an ANIME fighting game:psyduck: ). Also from the looks of it it play just like a traditional 2D fighting game. Is this Capcom's answer to a "Marvel vs Capcom 3"?
Effenhoog Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 If by some miracle they manage to get Evangelion in there, I would pay a blood sacrifice of 10,000 starving, abused orphans to play as Gendou. Especially if he played a lot like old Slayer (i.e. minus the silly new air combos). Also they should definitely use somebody from Daddy Long Legs because the art is hideous and it has nothing to do with fighting.

Looking at this and SFIV it seems that Capcom is trying to revive their 2D fighting legacy by simply dying the models and background to 3D. Though IMO that isn't the problem with why this type of genre isn't appealing to the average consumer.
