So remember the scene where Sol mentions the plot of Vastedge? About how the Conclave were super protective of the Sacred Treasures?

He theorizes that the Conclave are somehow afraid of the Treasures. I still don't get what he's getting at. Does anyone else here do?

They want to use Justice and Gears. Treasures are anti-Gear weapons - it's simple, really.

The story mode was pretty great, the pacing was brilliant. Even with slip ups, the most enjoyable story mode an Arc game ever had.

I guess I liked most of the stuff everyone else liked (Sol/Ky dynamics, Zato's coat, Sin "Mr LoveeveryoneFeelgood" Kiske and Leo turning out to be an awesome, no bullcrap, down to earth dude etc.), but the most amazing things for me were certainly the flashbacks and Ky being a Gear. I cried the most unmanly tears of my life during the third flashback, and the fourth was so intense and full of more or less closure on things that were the talk of the fanbase for such a long time.

I kind of wished there was one where we'd get the That Man/Fredderik scene when he turns him into a Gear and get some info why. I doubt That Man's evil intent in this as much as ever after seeing Xrd, and I'm only more curious now as to who he is and why he turned Sol into a Gear and used Aria in creation of Justice. But I guess answering these questions would more or less be the end of Guilty Gear, so we're not gonna get to this any soon.

BUT...

Potemkin got DISRESPECTED by his appearance. Ten friggin' seconds. Really? Same goes for Slayer, Venom and Millia, they appeared so briefly they seemed irrelevant. It's like they were in the story mode just because they appear in the main game and it would feel bad to leave them out. Axl and I-No serve a similar role, bu at least they do something significant. The Assassin's, except Zato, are there just to get their ass beat by Bedman.

Which brings me to my second point, he was... meh. A total Deus Ex Machina designed to annoy the viewer and obstruct the heroes when it was necessary, even if it doesn't make sense (HOW did he get out of Zepp? You want to tell me that he had Potemkin AND Gabriel watching over him and managed to run away and just... act like it's nothing?). His "touchy-feely bullshit" with Ramlethal was weak too. He doesn't get enough exposure as anything more than a ridiculously powerful bed frame.

I also wished they'd explain Sol's new weapon in a little more detail, either in game, or in the Library. It seems so cool (I know it's used to fire in Vastedge, but that's not even mentioned once there, or how it works, or WHY is it even created), but ultimately glossed over completely.

Still, super enjoyable. If anyone is into good over the top shounen anime that is so sure it's good it dares to feature an 80's montage, they're gonna love it.

Remember Aria's disease? That Man probably wanted to save Aria that way, as for Frederick maybe he just wanted for him to be able to live more years alongside her, and for course he didn't want Gears to become weapons (even though he already knew that this could happen), they weren't supposed to be "bad" in the first place.

What exactly is "Crimson"? Ky survived death because of it.

His left eye is crimson cause he's part-Gear now. No details are know how and when it happened, but a lot of things confirm it.

Elphelt was able to detect him. The Library states that she can detect Gears.

His hair grows very fast (Sin mentions it in his vs Venom winquote that he has too cut his hair every few days).

Also, in one of the novels (or drama CD's, I don't remember) Ky wore an eyepatch over his left eye. Perhaps to hide signs of the Gear transformation.

Bedman:

As Zato said in the story, his victories over the powerhouses like Sol and Slayer is a result of his Dream Powers, which are a lot less threatening once they are figured out.

Speaking of Bedman, I gotta say I'm surprised he's as physically strong as he is. I thought he was going to be a pure dream and illusion based foe who could only become a threat in his dream dimension or whatever but no, he is perfectly capable of holding his own in the realm or reality.

Ky wearing an eyepatch was in Sol's GG2 book side story. He was wearing it when he dropped Sin off to be raised by Sol.

In an instant, Sol took a deep breath and furrowed his brow. Standing there was a man far from the Ky Kiske he remembered. His cheeks were thin and devoid of their usual color, large bags had formed under his eyes, his lips were dry and chapped, and there was no light in his eyes. And above all else, Ky was sporting an eyepatch just like the child named Sin had over his right eye.

And he has his eyepatch off during the events of GG2...why?

It's a mystery. But Sin was raised by Sol for the space of about 3 years, so we can only speculate why Ky needed the eyepatch then and not needing it a few years later.

It is at least confirmed in my opinion that ky being part gear is no longer random BS and we got an idea of when it happened. But i got no idea how it happened.

I can make an educated guess on that. Remember what Gears were originally intended to be before all this crazy world blowing-up business? Yup, to quote "they were intended to be the next step in human evolution". Now, it is doubtful Ky would go for a Gear conversion but perhaps he's gotten Gear powers through "natural" evolution? Most Gears are made artificially through magic so I guess there could be one that was born normally.

Possible theory, but i don't quite buy it.

I'm kinda leaning on the idea that dizzy unknowingly turned him into gear but we just got to wait and see.

He wore it when it first manifested, then later learned to conceal it without it?

I don't buy the "mating" turns you into a gear theory. It makes it sound like catching an STD. Do we even know if that power is even gear power? It can be something else unique to Ky.

Thinking about it, yeah it's a little weird. I mean, I don't recall a Gear with glowing red eyes. Most of the time they're gold-yellow with an animalistic slits.

Elphet can since gears and was able to since ky so yeah it is definetly gear power.

Uuuuh, wanna try that again?

Is there a way to do it on mobile?

Well he wouldn't have given a damn if she didn't resemble Aria (except Valentine)

Maybe because El's personality actually is similar to Aria compared to the 1st one

Say, what if in order to keep Sin's Gear nature hidden (and to avoid questions about a missing eye in long-term), Ky asked Faust to surgically switch their left eyes with each other?

Ky might have gotten his Gear powers from the left eye over the years.

That sounds pretty fucked up, asking a wakco doctor to surgically switch your eye with your infant son's.

Plus with all the other factors involved with Sin's growth, would it really have made much of a diffrence?
