Errol Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Don't start this crap again. EDIT: Pet Peeve: Not making a Reversal easily inputable on wake-up. My only move that will allow me to get out of pressure should not require me to stop blocking and do a half circle. It's infuriating to get either a) nothing, or b) a j.C to come out instead of the 632146C I was going for. I just noticed you have a sig full of easy reversals. That would be why I guess. but if you don't want to stop blocking to input a reversal play hakumen I guess. half circles are easy to do on wakeup though. just harder during pressure. though I would say still easier than 2xqcf
Speakeasy Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I can't believe I forgot Tager spammers. SLEDGE! HAMMER! and a tiny handful of Lambda's moves can hurt him.
susano Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I can't believe I forgot Tager spammers. SLEDGE! HAMMER! and a tiny handful of Lambda's moves can hurt him. If you're still playing Extend, I find that the wheel does kinda stop him on his tracks.
Wokker Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Guess mine are pretty "classic". - People who skip intro's when the connection is so-so. - People who join your room/cabinet and leave after one match. - Ragequiters.
Speakeasy Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 If you're still playing Extend, I find that the wheel does kinda stop him on his tracks. Do you mean 2C? I haven't really had success with it in the past. I usually jump back and bean him while he's cooling down.
Kriegdrache Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 (edited) Doing wolf combos and having sick lagspikes in the middle of them. Dropping TCL in netplay. Tiger Cannon pressure for life I guess! Do you mean 2C? I haven't really had success with it in the past. I usually jump back and bean him while he's cooling down. May be referring to Sickle Storm. Daisy-Fan Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Probably just the lag for me. sometimes it make me nuts having delay.
mAceOfHearts Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I just noticed you have a sig full of easy reversals. That would be why I guess. but if you don't want to stop blocking to input a reversal play hakumen I guess. half circles are easy to do on wakeup though. just harder during pressure. though I would say still easier than 2xqcf The character I'm having this problem with is Amane, who's only reversal is a crappy DD. (Unless you have Drill Lvl. 3 and/or OD)
NecroTheReaper Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Relius has a crappier reversal DD that has awkward input, horrible range, and awful reward (by its self, not UB setups). But man, I found out how much I hate super armor/auto guard/whatever the hell you wanna call it. Seems like its only good for Mu's DP and MTW. I keep tryin to poke with Ignis and cuz she gets hit, bam, 12 more active frames that slap me in the face.
mAceOfHearts Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I thought that move had a pretty decent vertical input? Oh, and he has his fabulous spin. Amane's fabulous jump can't even compare.
NecroTheReaper Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Fabulous spin, but because its there, its poorly abusable xD I use it way too much in the wrong situations. Its range only really works against grounded opponents unless the hitbox is weird for the air attack. Either it wiffs or is safe jumped. Plus 2363214C is a pain in the ass to use under pressure.
ReynTime180 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 The fact that I'm so used to playing offline at my local scene that every time I want play with you cool people on DL, I can't handle Netplay to save my life. Thats not a bad thing, it's actually really good. Though netplay probably has a lot more diversity in characters for matchup experience than your local scene, so there's that.
Grimsley-San Posted January 21, 2014 Author Posted January 21, 2014 Guess mine are pretty "classic". - People who skip intro's when the connection is so-so. - People who join your room/cabinet and leave after one match. - Ragequiters. Damn, all those 3, I get those too.
ReynTime180 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I laugh at rage quitters (but sometimes I also feel bad)
Myoro Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I laugh at rage quitters (but sometimes I also feel bad) This, until they send the hate-mail. (In the cases where the opponent got angry because I kept phasing though their telegraphed DPs and bursts, I keep the hate-mail as a badge of honor. 236A DP dodge->[CH]3C->236A burst dodge 4 lyfe)
Hikka Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Tagers who kill me with 3 command grabs I'm easily readable
TheColdScience Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Going up against someone way beyond my skill level, even though it can be good practice if the person isn't a jerk. People who gripe about "cheap" moves when it's actually just their inability to learn to defend. And people who skip the win screen and intros as fast as possible just because they start to get frustrated.
NecroTheReaper Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 When I try to DP bait with 236A as Relius and somehow get counter grabbed. Where the hell is my ignis after 214B @.@
mAceOfHearts Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Add scrubby Ragna players who do nothing but 5B-5C-5D-stuff to my list of pet peeves. I can't help but expect SOMETHING different the 97th time he goes at me. ´´Surely he won't go for a meaty a third time? It didn't work the last two times.`` ´´Surely he won't go for a meaty an eight time? It only worked once out of 7 times.`` ´´Did he seriously just go for a meaty for the eleventh time in a row!? Why!?``
susano Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 People who lose with their two crappy characters, only to pick Kokonoe, get blown up because they don't know how to use her and then ragequit.
Myoro Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 (edited) People who lose with their two crappy characters, only to pick Kokonoe, get blown up because they don't know how to use her and then ragequit. You fought this guy too?? (word for word, that is they guy I faced yesterday, he first used Jin, then Ragna, then Koko, which was a mistake because she didn't provide an exploitable DP and was subjected to my unbridled mix-ups and frame traps. 2nd round Perfect+astral->rage quit.) Edited January 22, 2014 by Myoro
mAceOfHearts Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I just fought a Koko on ranked who was pretty bad at the whole ´´blocking`` thing. Didn't get the PSN though. Think it might've been the same guy? Coincidentally, I Astral'd him/her as well, after a (near) perfect 2nd round.

I had someone else do this to me in arcade lobby too.
Monarch Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 This may be an odd one, but.. - People who skip your win animation as fast as possible after you win a round, but let theirs play out entirely if they win one. Out of courtesy, I never skip others, so it kind of irks me when they don't extend the same. Then again, I have to remind myself, etiquette online is near non-existent.
