[CP] Noel Vermillion - Combo Thread (Work In Progress)

I still can't do 3C > 665B > 5C > consistently, same goes for d.6B > 66C > 22B. I'm probably still not used to how Noel's dash "feels" and it could also most likely just be me not putting in enough time to practice since I'm lazy but I can't quite execute those two parts just yet.

 

Pardon my ignorance, but do you actually mean 3C > 665B > 5C and  d.6B > 66C > 22B? I mean, why not just 3C>22C~66 and how does d.6B link into 6C? Shouldn't the Drive string end first?

I kept hitting FC 4d while they were in the air. There wasn't a combo so I made one up. FC 4d 2d 623d 2a 5b Sjc jd d6b d5c d6b 22c 66 6c 6b 22b. It's the best I could do in 5 min sadly. It only does about 3200 da,age without super and 4k with super. Now to learn her other combos.

My best combo is unfinished, but it is 5c > 6b > 5d > d.5c > d.6c > d.5c > d.6c > Bloom Trigger (first part) > RC > Muzzle Flitter > 2b > 5c, 6c or 5b > jump cancel

 

Not sure what is the best way to to finish this off. I also struggle with the RC into MF part, so tips in these areas would be greatly appreciated.

5C - 6B will only combo on a Counter Hit.  So in most cases, this combo is not legit after the first hit.  Basically, not a combo at all.  Just remove the 5C from the beginning.  Also, exchange the jump cancel at the end with either Bloom Trigger or Chamber Shot and your combo is totally legit.

 

Edit - And remove that 5C from the middle of the combo, too!!

 

Edit Again - I misread your post.  Here's what you do after the Muzzle Flitter:

 

2B - 6C - 6B - 6D - d.6B - d.5C - d.6B - Bloom Trigger or Chamber Shot or Fenrir

 

That's really your best bet.  I mean, you can do a lot of other things, but I think that'll get you the best damage.

Right...   its just the damage scaling is not as good at all without the 5C to start. This is what I get for experimenting with the "force counter hit" setting on too much. 

 

Which 5c? The one after the RC?

 

EDIT: ok, this seems pretty plausible to do. Thanks for your help yet again. For the sake of asking, how much damage do you think this bit will net me? (following the current combo of course)

And as far as damage scaling, you'll get NO damage (other than a single 5C) if you can't get a legit combo, so let the thought of that 5C CH escape your brain forever and focus on reality of this situation.

 

5C is good, but I'd say turn off CH in training mode and train on combos that DON'T start with 5C.

 

Also, do I sound like a dick?  I'm not trying to sound harsh, but it kinda looks like I am...  :/

You're just trying to teach someone the proper way to smash face with Noel aren't you? You seem like you're trying to be helpful to me.

Starting with 5B instead of 5C doesn't hurt damage that badly, and it gives you a little more time to process your combo, and 5B is one of Noel's safest moves.  5B will link to lows, her overhead, and is jump cancelable.

I'm kinda bored and I'm a wee, tiny bit annoyed that people constantly call Noel the masher character (It don't bother me that much, as I already know that is the price to pay for playing Noel) and I kinda want to learn some drive-less combos with Noel if at all possible, just to whip in their faces and piss them off. >:D

 

Unfortunately, because its Noel we are talking about, such (effective) combos are hard to find. Any ideas?

 Nearly all of noels combos are drive dependant mostly. you can do some combos without it but honeslty youll be only doing under 2 - 3.2k at best and limiting your damage potential but if so, then it just boils down to chamber shot and revolver blast combos. if you gonna use revolver blast then youll mostly cancel into a 6A to launch them for it. if not then any ground hit can be comboed into chamber shot. its pretty straightforward and self explanatory assuming you know her basic gatlings as far as her natural combo flow is minus the drive inputs. a quick example would be something like this:

Forgive me if this has already been asked, but I'm not able to connect 5C to 3C. Did this get nerfed or does it require spacing/timing?

I'm aware that Noel uses her Drive a bunch. The idea was to put my foot on peoples throat for calling me out for using my drive too much. If I have 3 combos for different situations and I can end a game without ever touching the drive button, we are allllll good.

You can do it, but you just keep losing damage and need twice the confirms to kill.

Then you're pretty much restricting yourself to 2k strings. at best you're going to get off combos into 6A j.BCB dj.BC j.236C j.2C. Oki is only possible in the corner off of a 6A 6C(2) 6C 6B 22B...just be inventive because no matter what you're not going to get good damage off of anything that isn't a 5B or 5C counterhit and you're going to need a decent starter and OD/Meter to do comparable damage to what you could do with Drive meterless. That being said If you're using drive in a combo then it isn't mashing

I'm assuming you're messing up on the 6C follow-up after the 22C~66.  Try returning the stick back to neutral after the 66 before doing 6C, or whatever it is you're doing afterwards.

I was waiting the patch to work in a combovideo of noel, i like the new options with CT. For now I need to try a few combos to start recording.

So I'm starting to learn Noel, but which of these combos still work in CP1.1?  Idk if I'm just doing it wrong/too slow, but I can't seem to connect some of these combos.  Should I just wait till the new combos are figured out, or is there another resource I can look at?  Thanks. :)

I think it all works? She didn't really change much. The d.6B d.6C d.2D d.6B juggles being universal is the only change I've noticed. I think double Fenrir doesn't work now, but that's not a big deal. What are you having trouble with?

Heres some OD combos that oboro posted. I think you need 36% hp or something

 

When Noel is cornered: OD>5C CH>214A>5B>5C>2D>d.5C>SR>5C>5D>d.5C>d.5D>d.6B>BT>6C(2)>TK thor (OD still)>fenrir does 8k+

 

Variation I made for when they are cornered since that's more practical for a 5C punish combo. : OD>5C CH>214A>5B>5C>2D>d.6B>AT>5C>5D>d.5C>d.6B>BT>6C(2)>TK thor (OD still)>fenrir 8.1k I think it was.

 

These are pretty good for punish combos if you happen to have low health, OD, and a 100 meter lol.
