SugataDesigns Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_4gu5_8-94 A glitch we found a few days ago in Guilty Gear XX Accent Core. When you jump into and slashback the upper fireballs of Chipp's instant kill, it causes the fire star to remain in the background. If you initiate another instant kill in Training mode, you will create a "ghost copy" of your character. The Instant Kill also no longer has a hitbox. You can create quite a few copies before the screen can no longer fit any sprites, at which point Gamma Blade will not appear on the screen, nor will it have a hitbox. The copies will not have any hitboxes, but they will mimic your sprite. FRC and RC rings will not appear around them. Hitting Chipp (can't be blocked) will erase all of his clones. Yey~
Cadenza Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 Wow, nice. It's also awesome that it just so happens that it's Chipp, the shinobi, that can copy himself.
xenophobian Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 this glitch is as old as guilty gear is ^^...but until now it could only be archieved with CPU set to "block everything" and you would make cpu guard a hit while in IK activation phase to make the pentagram stay on screen, and every further activation would make a transparent chipp duplicate, now with slashback it´s only a different way to activate the glitch... nice find anyways
SugataDesigns Posted June 7, 2008 Author Posted June 7, 2008 Throwing "cloned" Chipp resets the bug though. Thanks for reminding me, I forgot to mention that. If you land a non-blocked hit on chipp at all it will erase all of his clones.
Mike Z Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 This was doable in any version of GG, and there are vids of it from #R I think. (^.^)' You didn't need the CPU to Block All...it could be done by having Chipp in IK mode knock the other person down, the other person do an OTG burst and then have Chipp hit the burst with his IK. It also worked with Potemkin but with different results. You could also do it vs Bridget by hitting him out of his 5p, then when he gets up hitting his auto-taunt with the IK, since the taunt preserved the on-the-floor property. Nice find that you can do it by SBing though...did you try SBing everyone else's IKs?
SugataDesigns Posted June 8, 2008 Author Posted June 8, 2008 Nice find that you can do it by SBing though...did you try SBing everyone else's IKs?I tested it on everyone just now and couldn't find any glitches with SBing anyone else's IKs. I tested jumping into and SBing the instant kills as well as SBing them on the ground, as SBing Chipp's IK on the ground won't cause the glitch to occur.
