Honestly it looks a lot more tame now in neutral and actually good in pressure which is the way I imagined it would be back in ct. hell, sometimes the Noel players don't know what she's going to do next!

(Those Carl and Relius match ups usually annoy me to know end!) Hopefully my scrubby Bullet didn't play too bad. If you ever want to play again, let me know. I could always use the practice. Also, good luck with that X-Matic Cover, I can't wait to see/hear it!

BloodWolF Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 I think Toan means that we can't throw out swords without worry of a punish. If we throw a 5D and they 2D over that, there's no way we'll recover in time. We are going to eat a CH combo most likely. Swords are usually a decent investment as they have bad cooldown time so a miss can hurt like hell. The amount of invulnerable frames in her drives makes her a real pain to shoot at. I love seeing a drive go right through her only to be slammed into the wall and destroyed.
TD Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 So start doing dash barrier more. If she does 2d you can continue running and get to the other side and 5d her. It will also block 3c and any air dash attempts will get blocked or avoided. Of course if you sense the move you can just 2d, 6d or even 6a(?) it.

I can 5A, 6A, 2C, rising jB, falling j2C, air throw, 6D, 2D, or IAD back jD/j2D to beat it. It isn't tough to deal with. But it gets annoying when Noel's just start doing it since I have to react with the proper button where in previous games I could just IAD back everytime I saw a drive come out. Once I get some MU experience with her, I'm sure things will be fine. I'll have to wade through the Jins next time I'm in the lobby and see if there is a Noel on.

Just take a deep breath and try again. GGs to a few people I fought after taking a break from the game. Dropped combos and messed up a few things but I still did okay.

The Terumi vs Tager match I had with PAINCHAKILLER right afterwards wasn't half bad either! (Though losing to a purple 720 was an unfitting end to an otherwise great match...)
