Ached, did you use to fight Skeletal a lot in Extend?

I used to play him a lot in CS2. I quit early in Extend for Persona.

GGs mAc. I've always wanted to astral you. I also need to work on them dashes, kept messing them up. Also netplay bursts ftw. And, I didn't know that Hakumen's 3C was 8F start-up, guess it was stupid of me to try and catch his landing recovery with 2B.

I'm not sure how good the wheel is versus Hakumen, but I used it anyway cuz I like doing it.

Oh, and I can't reply to messages up here and play. I turn off my router for better connections.

Didn't Hakumen's 2B go from like +2 to -4? Rofl.

And yes I did memorize this god damn character's frame data, but you would too if you were chronically decimated by him.

Hakumen players, I will find you. There's no use in running hopping.

I won. Mac is orange now.

That just sets the stage for what I wanted all along. Now I can pull you down with me.

I was turtling there since that's where your swords are least effective. And I wanted you to try and do another overhead because I can punish it with Shippu. But nope, bodied.

GGs, that wraps up tonight's disaster. Now you should see what I mean.

I was trying to astral you too, but you never took the bait so I said fuck it and tried to kill you. Then I died. :vbang: GGs!

Your color is only affected by same color players. Thats why I'm dodging pink players so hard :v

OK so, this is what I was going to explain about the Haku Nu matchup.

Hakumen in CP lives and dies by his counter hits. And not just any counterhit, but off 3C and 6B. If I can't get anything off those, then I'm SOL. Well, 5C too, but basically, if you don't try to mash out and just focus on up backing and backdashing out at the right time, you will probably beat 95% of the Hakumens you run into just because of that. Anything I can do to punish it requires guessing, and if I guess right it is only 2k or so.

And without much oki it is basically like we are at neutral all the time.

You will notice, Toan, that this is how you normally always play, so that is why there is this huge difference. In EX he could open people up much easier, but now he is reliant on you to make a mistake so he can get damage off it with his particular starters like 5C and 3C. If you don't give him that chance then all he has is OD.

But since there isn't much damage I can do off a low without CH, you can just block high most of the time (like you already do) and be safe from Tsubaki > Hotaru > OD setups.

I don't see what you mean. It just looked like we didn't play enough for you to get warmed up. You always do better the longer the sets are.

Yeah but at that point I'm just making psychic reads to make up for all of it. Like when I throw you in the corner and get 6 resets off non CH 6B and such in a row to win.

I like the new arcade.

That defeats the purpose of the colors though. You are supposed to knock down people the same rank as you.

...I think it's time I set up that Toan/Nemesis match.

Mac, like i said, keep track of your record vs other orange square players. You should rank up after a streak of 10 or 20 wins and less than 10 losses.

Oh, I didn't know you were going for an astral. Though, since I succeeded in doing it, I was certain you'd get the itching for revenge. Also thanks for exposing the Hakumen secrets. Now to put them into practice :yaaay:

That's just how it is now. I told you that Hakumen is free outside of OD and random Shippu/Yukikaze. But you keep bursting and never utilize your OD like you should be. You would do better to start using OD a lot more often.

The situation is the same. You need a solid hit to take advantage of OD. The main benefit is stopping you from bursting out, which everyone was doing tonight the moment I landed anything.

How does Wander get you?

Posted

He OD's at the start of the round to build meter. He ODs through stuff to punish. He manages to hitconfirm into OD before I can burst. He uses agito to prevent me from running underneath him. Overall more patient than you. The way you played the last round was typically how Wander plays all the time.

Wow. It looks like I missed quite the party. That's such a shame. I wish I could have seen how you guys deal with Hakumen. I have my theories for each of you, but I would have loved to see them in practice.
