Surf Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Ggs to anyone I played today. I really need someone to tell me where the hell I'm screwing up and what I need to work on. Watch replays I need the same advice. GGs to a few people, shoutouts to the Relius that ragequit just when I figured out what I was doing wrong with my midscreen setup. Watch replays EVERY time your about to turn your console off. Or watch them when you turn it back on later or the next day. Always
susano Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Watch replays Watch replays EVERY time your about to turn your console off. Or watch them when you turn it back on later or the next day. Always Well, I do know some things I'm doing wrong. My neutral can be better and I find myself getting hit by things I should have been more careful against *cough*Azrael*cough*. I'm gonna start recording stuff again. I just don't do it because it slows down the victory screen in arcade lobby and player matches.

The loading from the game saving replays is barely anything noticable. Ive never seen people complain about it but a small handful on here. Even if they did complain constantly, i wouldnt give a damn. But yea. When you watch yourself you'll notice alot more than when your in the heat of the moment
heavymetalmixer Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 GGs to Beef110percent and the others I played today.

I remembered watching a replay of myself and face palming at every mistake.

Even if they did complain constantly, i wouldnt give a damn. But yea. When you watch yourself you'll notice alot more than when your in the heat of the moment I just keep a mental note whenever I get hit by something or mess up. Then I ask the other player about what they did and they can't remember the match 90% of the time.
NineballInfinte Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 GGs to Seiyaria, DJ_Blactricity, OffBeatRhyme, JPN_JacopeX, and anyone else I've played yesterday.
BloodWolF Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 GGs Toan. I know the mirror is kind of stupid, but I still had fun. Well played.
TeeJay Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 I think finding mistakes in replays and applying them to actual matches is quite difficult-- without tunneling on those specific things. For instance, if I need to not do something, my entire proactive game shuts down.

For instance, if I need to not do something, my entire proactive game shuts down. That's the main problem, that through match experience, you have to deal with al lot of things, so if you focus in an specific aspect, you leave alone the others.

But eventually you'll learn it and go back to your usual style.
Mucky Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 ggs toan Tager: 1 Nu: what the FUCK also I think our last match had a sec 1 delay for a bit, that was why I was pressing 5A
Surf Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Right, what mAc said. It can be as simple as I want to throw more often. Because honestly I do myself. So, I've told myself once I get someone blocking eventually go for throw very often. Despite it being teched or being punished for the attempt. It's just something I'd like to have in my game. In wont really change my neutral in any way, its more on the pressure end so my gameplan won't be too much different. And I'll do this for x amount of days and matches until I tone it down a bit and it's just part of my pressure now. It's how I usually go about things Replays can be good for learning situations as well. Like how to punish or avoid Jins j.C for example during neutral because you saw yourself being CH by it 3 times in one round. Thats when you hit training mode, etc etc you learnt something new. Replay option/more space has to be my favorite new netplay features because it saves ALL my replays. To when the matches are hype or I bait 4 DPs to when Im getting my shit pushed in. If I had a choice to save a replay I would just mostly save the ones I won by a landslide or I got bodied free in. Never the inbetweens, which is what I did pretty much all of EX. I think people disregard it usually which stunts their growth and ability to recognize certain situations. Which is kind of sad.
toanenadiz Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 GGs to everyone I played. Haven't played this much in awhile. GGs Toan. I know the mirror is kind of stupid, but I still had fun. Well played. I gotta learn real combos. And how to block. ggs toan Tager: 1 Nu: what the FUCK also I think our last match had a sec 1 delay for a bit, that was why I was pressing 5A I think our matches clearly showed how balanced and fair the Nu vs Tager match-up is.
TeeJay Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 good talk. Pressure has been killing me with Tsubaki. I forget either command grabs, throw attempts or frame trapping. I couldn't do all of those things consistently in a set. I would practice them (I even wrote down maybe 20+ small strings because she relies on that) but in a match, 5C dash resets haha. Good to know. I guess you just have to suck for a while to gain something each time. Probably going back to Litchi though. We'll see if I start playing again after a few weeks.
susano Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 GGs to people, shoutouts to mashers. Shoutouts to somehow zoning Noel while half asleep.
NecroTheReaper Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Ggs Errol. Hope your hate for Relius didn't stop you from enjoying the matches. Though, I am curious as to why you don't just stomp me with yout Tsubaki from time to time. Is it the MU, me, or just not wantin to expose your godlike op moves? xD

Is it the MU, me, or just not wantin to expose your godlike op moves? xD tsubaki is pretty crappy. the matchup is obviously bad. More than that I mostly don't play her much anymore except to mess around. mostly dislike the unique difficulty of blocking relius on netplay. And some stuff that shouldn't ever work, like mashing 2c out of block or hitstun.

I'd rather play hazama but even then i dont like that match up against relius. Although, i wasn't aware errol played tsubaki still.
ReynTime180 Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Ggs to all the people my Kagura makes RQ. It's the best feeling when I make someone RQ
NineballInfinte Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 GGs to Litherain, Safety_PaTROLL, Xx_DarkEdge_X, TRUEABYSS, Vixsination and anyone else I've played.
NecroTheReaper Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Well after a while, I had to start doing yolo 2C because otherwise therr isn't a safe option from round start. I was experimenting for a while and that winded j.A/j.B beat jump back j.A, 6B, 5B, 5A, 2A, and occasionally traded in my favor (I feel it was lag) with 236C
