Dark Ranger88 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I can't test this out because I don't have Kokonoe, but can Makoto dash then parry the lightning rod attack to escape. On a successful parry you don't get pushed back like you would if you blocked, and the space counter follow up attack could rocket her past Kokonoe to escape the unblockable. Again, I haven't purchased the character, so this is all just theory on my end.

Lucalibur Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 The lightning rod is not unblockable however, only the black hole is. I think what he meant was dashing forward then parrying the lightning rod on activation, and space countering the fuck out of there.
NumeroGaijin Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Question is if your dash recovery frames will allow you enough to activate it before you hit.

I mean parry the lightning attack (not the black hole) then either A.) space countering past Kokonoe or B.) Waiting for the parry catch to end then running towards Kokonoe. Question is if your dash recovery frames will allow you enough to activate it before you hit. Parry is a special and you can cancel into it from the dash like you could any normal or special (as long as you input it as 66 > 546). Edited December 5, 2013 by Dark Ranger88
StarGazer Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 If the black hole is on your face when you finish from the parry then it wont work as the black hole has waaaaay to much active frames, if not then it might work. Someone give me an example for a kokonoe 22B set up
Pen_Ninja Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 On how to actually set up a 22B setup? 236B > 5C > 22B > black hole. To be honest, I'm not even sure she has an escape for the 236B > 5C > black hole setup though. Both corner only, obviously.
