Braver Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 I got a question about the ranking system. I really dont care about it or anything but do you get the same amount of points for fighting a "F" rank as to a "S" rank. If so thats kinda messed up. I was playing around today and noticed that my rank when up to a B from a C. I like playing everybody so I challenge everyone; but I dont want my rank going up off of someone weaker than i am. =/ yeah, ranking system is weird. i wanna know how im a A rank (i'm more like C/D lol)
BANGER Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Eh, I think the ranking system is just there for kicks, judging by how imperfect it is.
POscrub Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Version 1.13 -.ini file now opens with the default Windows Editor. -Replays now support fast forward (hold down O while watching a replay) [Ed. note: Woohoo! Skip straight to the parts you want] -F rank, S rank point limits established. -Changed the way EX character option is supported: *If both sides have EX characters enabled, EX characters are allowed. *If only one player has EX enabled, or neither do, you can still challenge them, just EX characters will be disabled. *However, against versions 1.12-3 and older, you must have the same EX setting, otherwise you can't challenge them (their status will show as EX enable/disable) -Fixed a bug that allowed for invisible characters (Hope y'all enjoyed it while you could). -Expanded the denial code.
Zazz Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Version 1.13 -Changed the way EX character option is supported: i'm turning on EX characters now. always wanted to use justice against another person
Sigma Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 I finally got my #R online working again. Unfortunately, all of that lagless play has ruined me for online. Could hardly even time air SE correctly the first few games with the delay. I'm sure the fact that I'm back to my keyboard isn't helping either. :P
POscrub Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Not much Version 1.14 -Some code changed to help with EX synchro issues -In the lobby, here is now a count column right after the win column next to your opponents name. # total games they've played.

ba_roto Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Why i cannot fight with any one? I use name baroto delay 4. Or i wrong delay? I don't understand how to play online >.<
Hayato182004 Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 After my one month hiatus, I'm finally back! And with new, awesome, kick-ass combos and moves, you won't be able to touch me! ... Acutally, I played ten matches and I only won one. I'm totally out of the loop. (x x ) Oh, well. I'm back on #R Online! Time to get my ass kicked... again.
POscrub Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 I'll do a proper writeup later, but the biggest change was UDP hole punching is now supported. Hopefully, this will allow some of the people who had NoRes before, to play each other.
Bakuryu Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 When I try to play someone it goes to a black screen with both our names on each side then I see some guilty gear lettering for a second and then if flashes black and goes back to the lobby what gives I forwarded the port 10000. I also turned DMZ on.
Soul Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I was able to get online and I'm having a great time! I now know how much better I need to get.
Bakuryu Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 I was able to get online and I'm having a great time! I now know how much better I need to get. Thanks for rubbing it in my face I appreciate it.
Spike6sic6 Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 I have troubles playing online. I installed it just fine and I can go to the lobby and all. But then, the few people I could play with have 200+ ping. And when I start a fight it lags like mad, it's unbearable. I've asked on other forums but noone seems to find the problem. I'm on a network with up to 6 computers, but that's not the problem. I tried it on a smaller network at my gf's house and it's exactly the same, all 200+ ping. My connection has absolutly no problems when it comes to online gaming. On all the games I play online, I have a pretty low ping and I have no lag problems. This only seems to happen with GGXX#R. It will be appreciated if anyone can help me out. I'll add, my lobby screen seems different then other people's. This might be because the screenshots I saw were from earlier patches, but my lobby shows weird signs on the "Sort by" part. On the earlier patches, my lobby was exactly like other player's, but it's different since 1.15-3.
1/2 gear Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Help...I played a few weeks online with no problem, then took a break for a few weeks as I needed a new controller. Anyhow now whenever I go into the game, after we select are characters, and it shows the two portraits...you hear the music for the stage where battle will be done, but no visuals show up..and then it just exits...whats going on?
Fettered Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 happens to me as well from time to time, but just with certain people..sometimes you just have to try till it works. i don't know why it happens, but it can either depend on your or your opponent's connection, ggxxnet version or something else i have no idea about -_- anyway, although you probably did that already, make sure you have the latest version and free bandwidth
1/2 gear Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Well I tried many times tonight but didn't get a single game. I also checked ports and I always get timeout. Even though I opened them on firewall, even tried disabling firewall. This is frustrating, don't know why it worked before and now doesn't.
DubiousCurvLoop Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 I have the same exact problem when I try to play from behind a router. I forwarded the ports on my computer, the computer with the router, and the router itself, and it still doesn't work me. Firewalls on both computers and all are disabled, but I still get timeout. I assume you're playing behind a router too, right? Let me know if you've figured out how to get it to work. I've been trying to everyday for the past month now.
Jirashi Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Jirashi | Buffalo, NY | Delay 4 New Guy in the Mix. Not sure if you guys are still doing this or not. lol. ....took me a week to get all this stuff together -from installation to finding a good configuration for my PS2 converter set-up....geez....-
Pervert_Q Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Pervert_Q / Pervert_Q / delay 4 / Denton, TX usa
martindangerous Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 CURRENT VERSION: 1.09-3 CURRENT VERSION: 1.09-3 CURRENT VERSION: 1.09-3 3.) Download the GGXXNet patch from: http://ggxxnet.mad.buttobi.net/index.html Right now, we're upto 1.04. What version?
Orrax Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 What version? Looks like 1.15-3 on the site. IIRC, though, you'll need to download 1.15 and then replace the .dll with the one from 1.15-3, because that's basically all 1.15-3 has in it.
