I used to have the english version of this installed on my PC, but I think net play kicks ass =P but I noticed the quality appears to be a lot worse. Anyway... if anyone can give me some ideas.. I have tried to create one but it didn't work: http://trancejay.awardspace.com/ggnlobby.cgi Players can't see each other however if you access the address in a browser it seeems it's working because it shows player count = 0. I have just uploaded the ggnlobby.cgi file which comes with 115 patch. Do I have to do something else? Is there a version of this file translated to English? I have a #Reload.iso, English Patch.exe, config.exe, and ggxxnet.dll yet it all seems to rely on a ggxx.exe that I can't get ahold of. I can't even find a torrent with it. Or am I just supposed to get a ps2/xbox emulator or something? ~~~ Edit...hmm, ignore this altogether it seems I just got the wrong stuff entirely -.- excuse me while I continue my search anyone got a folder they feel like sharing -.-

I dont find the ggxx.exe patch for download. Thx in advance. EDit2: ok guys I was able to enter vs net, but no one was there, is that because of the port being closed? I use zonealarm free, when the game asked permission to connect online i gave it to zonealarm. should I use port 10000? anybody uses Zonealarm? how did you configure it to play ggxx online? should I use another firewall? thx again! (I know Im annoying but I wanna play online!!) btw what does TRIP means? is it like a password?

I was able to connect and see people but theyre changing their status from busy to idle to low ping and the like. how do I chose a better place to play or how do I connect to them? thx again dude!!
DubiousCurvLoop Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 When their status says Idle, then you can connect to them. Some people's pings jump around from like 50 or 60ms to 200ms+. Most likely, they're players from Japan, but they're definitely far away from you. They're basically unplayable. If their status is Busy, that means they are playing a match with someone else. A status of No Response means that they have either left the lobby, or they have GG minimized. But yeah... anyone with ping 120 and below plays pretty smoothly, at least for me.

Ok forget that last question, I was able to try to play with someone but after me and him chose to play each other the screen went black and then back to the menu. I guess Im not the only one wiht this problem.
DubiousCurvLoop Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 If everyone is darkened, they are either Busy or their ping is too unstable (Ping Over), which basically means you cannot play them at that time. If you sit around in the lobby and wait a bit, you'll see names start turning white, which means that they have just finished a match, or either they have just entered the lobby. You can challenge them once their name becomes white.
