I think if i copy the cgi file into a shared folder and then use hamachi, someone should be able to connect to the path from my ip + shared folder + cgi file. Has anyone tried this yet?

You can't do that to make CGI-script work, man. Need an HTTP-server.

It's your external IP address. To see your Internal IP : Start > Run > Cmd > ipconfig. Any advice on hosting GG lobby server ???

i played online a few times got my ass handed to me by some Slayer user he got skills im 250BPM also i wish there was a way to keep ppl with bad ping from conneting with you there this guy LED thay has annoying lag

I end up with terrible pings of 160+ since I'm so far away from most players. Pretty much makes it unplayable. If anyone is around my area (prairies in CAN), let me know to set up a game. Edit: OK so I found a few people near me, with pings of <100, but there really aren't that many. Also the fact that most people use delay 2 makes them unplayable for me, delay 2 gives way too much lag for some reason when compared to 4.

I had probs with ds yesterday, during the first day there. I didnt know what was going on at first, most matches were ending in third round. I got help from a few dudes in the irc room, and at one point a guy let me know that we werent even fighting the same match (i saw slayer/anji and he had picked potemkin.) I am using a "pre-installed" game, friend sent it in a rar already installed and ready to play. Could this be what is causing the problem?

How can I use my custom colors?

Just choose a costume you wish to edit, change it, and save. Then choose using that button the the character select screen. This worked for me, anyhow.

you have to save them. IT should ask you to save if you switch which button you are using.

Um..help

*img taken out for space*

I followed the guide explicitly but came on this error. Anyone know what may be causing it?

I think thats the thing that means you already patched your exe, you prolly just need to redownload the ggxx.exe off of that one russian site.

Yea dawg, it's like I can use them offline, but I can't pick them online. How can I use my customs online?

I tried to experiment with it - tested 7 different HTTP-servers and conclusion is:

1) Each works fine on Linux. Just needs a Perl support, since it's a Perl script.

2) On M$ Windoze, you need a Perl support, like ActivePerl, and you have to change the first line of ggnlobby.cgi to:

#!(path to perl.exe here, without trailing '\' and 'perl.exe' itself)

Example:

#!C:\Program Files\Perl\bin

Apache worked just like that, and almost all servers did it after renaming of ggnlobby.cgi to ggnlobby.pl

Don't forget it should be laying in CGI-enabled folder. That's "cgi-bin" by default.

Almost forgot - couldn't get it to work with port other than 80...

No, I can use them Off, but not On. I've seen people with customs too.
