1) Answering any questions people would like to ask of the Japanese Gundam community

2) Sengoku will take suit requests, so if there's something you'd like to see, mention it in the chat! (Sengoku can use almost every suit well)

3) We'll be translating his commentary and communicate with him directly via Skype.

Hey guys - for those of you who don't know who Sengoku is, he's an active Gundam Extreme VS tournament organizer and player, most known for being the man behind the Sengoku Cup - a Shuffle Tournament Series that many of you have probably watched if you were looking for early EXVSFB footage. In addition, he runs a large streaming community on nico for the game, as well as contributes with his own Cram School event for replay review and critique.

 

He and I have decided to collaborate together to run an exhibition series between US and Japanese players. We will be simultaneously streaming a 4on6 set of online matches between Japan and the US on April 22nd @ 9PM PST. That is to say, Two Japanese teams and three American teams. Due to the limitations of connectivity, this event is exclusively for the West Coast. Of the three American teams, the local Northern and Southern California communities will each nominate a team for this event. The third team will be chosen via a free entry Qualifying Tournament held online. 

 

 

The tentative date for this qualifying tournament is Saturday, April 19th, with the actual 4on6 event happening the following Tuesday, the 22nd.). If you wish to participate but don't have a partner, please feel free to post in this thread!

 

The winner of the qualifying tournament will be the third participating team in this exhibition series. In the case that a team cannot participate, the second place team will be chosen instead, etc etc.

 

If you're interested in an actual formal interaction between the US and JP communities for EXVSFB, this is definitely an event to look out for!

The date of the exhibition matches has been decided! April 22nd @ 9PM PST! 

On a random note one of the players confirmed on the JP side is Kirin, the #1 CP Spiegel player in Japan and also one of the best Red Frames in EXVS, as well as the man who invented all the original Red Frame Final Cutter combos!
