Awesome thank you, haven't had much time lately to practice but I've got a few days off to work on the dash C, I'll be looking through the primer tonight! That's awesome you made one for Hyde!

Outside of a few system changes Hyde looks the same. I did notice he can chain shift orbiter as soon as it comes out which is a great change, and it looks like he is getting slightly more damage over all.

two main changes I know is 2A can be staggered now which is amazing and 22C wraps in the corner which looks like it could have the potential for some interesting mixup. The one I saw last night on stream was a simple delay into grab but it looks like it has the potential for more.

So what is the trick to landing dash 3b after the 236a 236a corner combo consistently? Is there a delay somewhere in the combo previous to the dash 3b that makes it hit more consistently or something?

personally I omit the 3b and just do 2c, I found it much more consistent so I never bothered properly learning 3b. The only time I really use 3b is for corner throws and I'm pretty good at botching that up lol

Regarding the dash 3B in the corner, I had trouble with this for the longest time. UNIEL is nice in the fact that it lets you do directional normals from a dash with no delay. This allows you to do 66 then move to 3 and still hold the run. What works for me personally is running almost all the way into the corner before hitting 3B. You're not trying to hit them with the point of the sword, more like the middle of it. Granted this timing will take some getting used to, but see if it works for you. Also I think this is going to be easier in UNIST from the loketest changes I read, but I won't know for sure until we have the game stateside.

Just a side note: some people might find it easier to just 2-button-dash to get the 3B for the safe-jump instead since sometimes 663B is awkward at times; it helped me quite a bit.

I probably should have done this earlier, but I was distracted by Evo. Satomaru Hyde (the #2 ranked Hyde in UNIEL) posted an Evernote document of combos. I unfortunately cannot read Japanese, so if someone could translate it, that would be super cool.

More Satomaru footage! Seems like Rion is playing Seth for now, so we get lots of Satomaru matches instead. There's also another hyde earlier in the video that was doing some interesting things. He was playing the yellow color with the blue sword. If anyone could help me identify him, that would be great. Anyway, enjoy:

ベイカン〆 (Veikan) = Vacant Shift

ヒット (Hitto) = Hit

オービタ (Oobita) = Black Orbiter

ロータス (Rootasu) = Black Lotus

昇竜 = Red Clad Craver

スケア (Sukea) = Shadow Scare

 

Most combos are already known but I hope this helps.

Thanks for the assist Xavier. Also, my stream matches from Evo are up. Would anyone be interested in me doing a retrospective analysis of them?

Another minor change for [st] Hyde is that 22A prorates better, it can be used midcombo for more damaging routes apparently.

Yea, I noticed Satomaru was using it a lot in corner combos.
