Japan figured out Ragna a lot faster than the American scene did, so you probably didn't see as many because most of them couldn't compete as well. I remember a friend of mine who was over in Japan for a year told me that Hazama and Ragna were the two most popular characters too, so that may have something to do with it. Generally they don't want to put up matches of something they see all the time.

Hazama's popular in Japan and not in America because he takes more than two seconds to learn trolololol. In all honesty there was quite a few Ragna players...but there was a shit ton of Japanese Jin's...whereas the only American Jin I know of is Render =/

Regarding BK.

Interesting update coming up on the BBS.

Life gain:anything between 3K and 4.5K is possible (still some room left to grow thanks to yami)

Metergain: 26 - 44 (!)

Details were not given.The guy left for his local arcade to test more stuff.

very good! 30 metter gain would be enough, but to reach "40 +" is possible then great! Thanks to the posts of "Nokita" I'm much more relaxed about the "Ragna, thanks man!

You should still be able to get 30 meter midscreen.(Or at least come close to it)

Assuming you get a good starter, of course.

Er, I'll probably make a Ragna Continuum Shift II Video Thread within the next couple of days, so if you could keep tabs on all the relevant matches including who plays who, that would be great.

My original plan was to also add TITANIUM BEAST!!!'s combos to the video with credit, but as it turns out, landing a combo with a Tiger Knee Inferno Divider near the end and recording it within a limited time span is actually pretty damn annoying to do on pad. Who knew?

Ah okay, thanks. I may not know players names though since I can't read japanese. Only way I'll know the player names is if the video already tells you (so if I post anything expect it from youtube and likely it'll come from Jourdal)

Hey guys I'm new to the series and I don't know where to ask this, so I hope it's alright to ask here, I'm having problems HJCing after 6A, why is that? Am I doing it to fast, the imput must be only D and not DF or DB, am I doing it slow(keep in mind the fact that I play SF)?

What?

I don't think having 3C or not affects the timing, so long as your opponent gets downed at least once somewhere in the combo. But 3C is just the easiest way.

Otherwise you just press 22C. Oh and you have to be close enough and all that.

I think I'm misunderstanding somewhere.

Oh that. To do 5D -> 22C, your opponent MUST be downed at least once in the combo. Otherwise, you can't do it.

EDIT : To make things clearer, once you down your opponent once in a combo, you can do 22C ANYTIME AFTER THAT. You just need to be close enough.

Nah, for some reason even though 5D bounces them off the ground and all that it doesn't count as valid for 22C =P...

Doesn't matter too much though, just chuck in a 3C after the 5B or 5C at the start and its good to go lol.

And no it wouldn't work in that previous combo.

From what I remember 22C works with 3C, 2D, ID and I think thats it.

I'm guessing it's part of their "sit during pressure" plan. And you guys finding it out means it's ok, otherwise it would've never been seen, ever. Besides, even if it wasn't useful at all, it wouldn't affect anything.
