For ragna pressure I do 5B->5C->5D->first hit cancel to Hell's fang - > mash 2P -> repeat (excellent for Nu players) This breaks their guard in no time, but it seems to good to be true. Is there a way for them to retaliate?

Afraid so. They can hit you between the Hell's Fang and 2P.

Yes. That's why you don't end blockstrings with Hell's Fang. It leaves you wide open to punishment against people who know what they're doing. Dead Spike is the only safe way to "End" combo strings, though dashing out of 5D can continue them if you don't get punished by punches or something.

dead spike isnt' safe either, they can hit you before it comes out with a 5A or 2A, if they IB the hit before they can fit in a stronger attack. Characters with dp can also hit you out. Long story short, you have to mix it up, don't do any one block string too much, they all have holes and can be punished if your opponent predicts which flavor of block string your going to do.

5D special cancel into Dead Spike is usually safe, as long as they don't predict it. Then again, if you're being predicted on your combo strings you're probably dead anyways.

Guys i need help i found this hot combo and i cant figure out the timing on the beginning.

5:57 i cant for the life of me get noel to fall the same way so i can hit the 5b 3rd hit. I know what hes doing for the combo but the hits not counter and it hits her crouching. In the console version ive tried hitting the 214D after 214b at various timings and she still floats to high. any help?

Can you get a jump cancel directly from 3C there, or was there enough of a delay there to just use TK Gauntlet Hades?

i input the dash as soon as his second swing hits the ground, dont spam 6A cause it wont come out in time, hit 6A just at the end of your dash, i agree it was super annoying for me to learn to.

I thought it was me slipping up at first, but then I came and read this and tried just in training mode, and sure enough online was the reason I wasn't able to hit it.

You can use the JC on the 3C. For some reason I never get it by canceling the 3C doing the normal TK GH motion (2147). but it comes out if you just JC the 3C then GH.

I'm having trouble with the 5B, 2B, 3C, 5D (DC), 6A, 5D, 22C corner combo. Is there something I'm missing, like a delay on the first or second 5d or something? I am dash canceling the first 5D, but having trouble getting the second 5D to land.

It works on everyone (although against Tager you don't want to be deep into the corner because he crosses you up). It's just that against some characters (such as Jin and I think Rachel?) you need to delay the 5D after the 6A.

I found out why I cant connect the 5B to 623D in the 22C combo. Seems you can't execute it on Jin but you can with other characters. Also when do I start the dash 5A in the double 22C? I can't seem to get the timing down right.

Yeah I practice against Jin (of course) and it seems like there's a very strict frame based delay that's difficult to land; I guess its just a matter of practicing and or gambling in a match

Food for thought to Ragna players. Air throws off screen. Not exactly guranteed, but I would bet 99%. :grin: I'm thinking something like whatever into: D, sj, J.A, J.B, J.C, J.D, Inferno divider, RC, J.C, J.D, dj, J.C, Airthrow. Would a scenario like this work? Can you get off screen with Inferno divide RC combo? What I've you've dragon installed? Someone's got my back right?

I haven't tried that yet but I was just experimenting with the corner air throw combos he can do over the last few days. I think I'll try that and see how it works.

jiyuna is just too good :psyduck: Oh well, I guess that this is just my shitty Xbox360 D-Pad imposed limit setting in combined with my lack of recent training. I really need to stop using Hell's Fang on blocked attacks and panic bursting :vbang: If it's possible, i'd like another match sometime jiyuna. Preferably one I remember to save so I can relive getting my ass handed to me and learn from it. EDIT - Could someone please explain TK Gauntlet Hades to me? I've been doing the 2147 input for about an hour now and they still seem to be launching the same way if it it had been a normal 214 input. Am I doing something wrong? :psyduck:

I don't get it every time from just 2147. I usually do 21478, or all the way 214789. If that still doesn't work for you, make sure you're not pressing the button too early.

any way maybe a week ago i used to do this combo but now i forget something about it

5B, 6A, (*)5C, 5D, 214B,(**)214D, 5B, 6A, hjc >jC, jD, jc >JD, 623D, 236C, 214C

(*) cant remember if its delayed

(**) also cant remember if its delayed

That combo is real good, Yeah you need to delay the 214D as much as possibly, and no the 5C is not delayed but you need to cancel the 5D to one hit only going into the 214B

that combo only works on Jin. need to end with 5b > 623D on everyone else. also it doesn't work at all on Carl, and will miss Rachel/Tao if done from too far away.

I got a quick question about his air throw. I know that after his air throw he has the ability to air dash, but Is this affected if the throw is done during a combo. I ask this because I can't get it out at all. Is there a certain time frame or window that I don't know about or is it just something that one needs to practice. (BTW I have do not problem doing this with carl or other characters just ragna). So if any one can clear this up to me I would really appreciate it.
