Arakune has a decent learning curve. Its all negative edge including directions, so he's not simple to pull off clean pressure with on a cursed target. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2 -

I'm having a lot of trouble with the wj.A -> 5D. For some reason my transform back to valk either happens too later or never happens at all. Anyone have any tips on something to look for, for the timing on this? It's drivin me crazy ha. Thanks in advance.

I didn't realize it would drop if I was too close to do so, that's actually a huge help, because I've been practicing in the corner just to get the 5A timing down.

a lot of that is the fact that you're using an entirely different type of gate, i personally find that octagonal gates make tk'ing anything harder because of all the bumps on the gate. Square gates for me definitley make things easier to tk, you're muscle memory just has to get use to not feeling a diagonal area as concretley as you would with an octagonal. generally once you get use to the square gate you wont be hitting the corner for the diagonal on a tk motion.

if you start getting collidered by IAD back out of pressure, just DP when you know he's gonna collider, puts him on the defensive at the end of a string

you can bait tager a lot if you're good at baiting and get fatal 6C's all day, this is assuming that the tager player doesnt know all your tricks, even if its blocked you can get a 63214C and if he moves hit him or if he blocks its primers edit: forgot to write that yes i know sledge goes through 6C, just gotta watch for it, 6C his 5C's and whatnot if you space right

after the 5C,2C,j.c,j2c strings i usually do j6D, and the energy ball shit, it'll clip the back of them and force them to block at neutral, and comes out fast enough for you to block a potential dp, also leaves you with enough time to 2B punish a roll if they roll out of the corner edit: also leaves an offscreen stein which is good for later mixup

i'd be careful w/ j2c, its pretty unsafe on block if the spacing isn't right

her damage doesn't need buffing on staffless combo's, her character design is ment to depend on the staff in the first place. If the current changes stay then the spacing for gaps method isn't a problem, thats when litchi wasn't faceroll win.

regarding unlocking her, i cant seem to find the guide, but i know you actually do not have to play through taokaka's story and carl's, i forget who else, theres 1 more character, once you unlock hazama's you're pretty much there, because the true end mode is unlocked once you get through hazama's story edit: true. i have jp version

his mixups are great if you know how to pressure someone, 214D creates 50/50's all the time, and his gatling block strings into 6A are awesome if you can cause hesitation in your opponent. he's also got some mean crossups if you end close blockstrings w/ 5D~C or 5D~B, if you use c a lot and switch to b it makes people throwout moves to try and counter a crossup, giving a free combo

i like how the ragna bursted after you started a combo with 4A's, like you were gonna do a lot of dmg
