Any tips about vs Merkava matchup?

Looks like best distance is a bit more then his 2b range. But what if Merkava is not completly retarded?

It his long hands special punishable? Any random tips?

My is like his 66 from fly must be parrieble (BC) with reaction. His 236c shound be also parrieble after super freze (Evo moment #37). His fireball zoning is free GRD and u can close up. And NEVER FIREBALL HIM exept if he is not tech after combo (214b ender) @ midscreen. And his 4b anti-air any shit easy exept crossup j.B maybe so dont jump PLS. Sometimes i can bait Merkava on like jump whiff j.A (near 4b range) and doublejump->stuff(neutral j.2c). When u bait his 4b and jump forward u will fall cuz his 4b shitloads of active frames i prefer to just nj. fireball. If he try to dash-punish or 2b land then 22c (be sure about u have 100 EXS) its recovery cancel.

So is the Hilda match-up so bad that we should just give up entirely? Or is there any sliver of hope?

Also, Orie does 236A/B... what do I do in response (if anything)?

Hilda is cake up close, far away she's annoying (like usual, regardless of character actually). I usually do my usual 2A pressure with his sweeps and that usually catches players. Or if you're ballsy for his overhead, since she's crap upclose.

Merkava is better upclose, but this will require you to read him since he's fast upclose. But if he's in the air, if you can DP, do so. But its tougher since he can either spam from top, or divekick. So probably close to bait him, but not so far as that he'll come back down to earth just to be grab happy.

Orie is not even a problem, block her.

Can Akatsuki punish Nanase's 236B~6C? I was hella abusing that in casuals against an Akatsuki player and it didn't seem like there an easy punish.

His parries should be able to. Or block.

You could also take advantage of his fireballs, specifically his slow ones. Since they're pretty useful for throwing people off if they decide to dash in like Orie.

No, I mean on block, I don't think he can punish the 236B~6C.

So about Orie. Seems you can punish her 214>214A followup (where her persona does the 2 spin slashes) if you shield it. Just Guard Shield the first spin slash and you automatically shield the next, then dash 5B.

A shield isn't even necessary, the A follow-up is straight punishable. The B follow-up is +4 on block, but you can parry it on reaction easy.

Gonna go ahead and double post, through the past week I found a lot of useful things to help with the Merkava match-up.

You can parry Merkava's 4C and 3C (his two overheads) at any range to knock him down, allowing you to get in easier. At midrange, it's fairly easy to parry 5C (the long reach arm normal), and you can parry both his 623C and 236C on super flash in order to making them waste 100 meter. If he goes into flight mode and chooses to dive in, you can easily react with a high parry to stop him from mounting his offense. All in all parry seems to be really helpful in this match-up.
