Curious about something

I've been playing in lobbies a lot lately and I've just realized, my Gamertag has become an orange looking color? Does anybody know what this color means?

It means "Hey, this is you"

It represents how much you win, in a certain manner.
When you beat people with the same color as you a lot, without losing too much, your color ''level'' will go up.
If you lose against people with the same color as you a lot, without winning too much, your color ''level'' will go down.

The color levels (as far as I am aware of) are:

 

White (Undecided/''New'')
Light Blue
Dark Blue
Light Green
Dark Green

Yellow

Orange

Red

That's Square color. He means the name itself- mine displays as red before I start searching for a match and it's NOT because of disconnects.

This is what I mean yeah. My name appears as an Orange looking color. I've also seen somebody with the brightest, pinkest name I've ever seen.

Meh, after plaaying for a long time, I realized that squares mean squat. I've seen some fraudulent squares anyway. Don't get me wrong, most people deserve it, but others? Yeah...

Letter wise, that's how it ranges. Color rank supposedly lets someone know how good you are.

That's odd, I'm pretty sure I have a yellow/orange name at C rank? Do people who play enough ranked to get to A or higher universally become red names? Unless you're talking about grade equivalencies?

 

I'd like to re-iterate that this is talking about the color of the NAME, not the color of the square beside the name.

Again, this is for square color. He means the name itself.

Like, for example, I have a Light Blue square (don't judge, I had a bad losing streak one day :V), a C+ Rank, and a Red name (but my connection is fine so this shouldn't represent lag).
