Guilty Gear XX Accent Core +R was released today for the PS Vita via the US PSN store for the price of $14.99. If you are a pad player looking for some on the go training mode/matchmaking, or just looking to get a bit of a head start on the game before its unknown console release, this would be a great pickup.

BBCP JP Console Limited Edition details!

By Guest, in Home,

After the magazine release, Famitsu finally posted up their website article with more details on the Japanese console release of BBCP. We now have clearer images of Kagura and Terumi which can be seen here, here, here, and here. More details on the Terumi preorder dlc code was stated that he'll be available day 1 for use. No information on if he's unlockable normally through gameplay or if he'll be up for purchase as normal dlc the same day. Similarly to the BBCS1 Limited Edition Japan received, the BBCP LE will come with another nendoroid! This time it'll be the lovely Rachel Alucard. Also included in the LE is the Visual Book II (art book), and BLAZBLUE SONG Interlude II (BBCP Soundtrack). The LE will run for 10,290 yen, and the regular version for 7140 yen for Playstation 3 only. So start saving up your money as we all have a long wait till the Oct 24th release date.

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma will hit PlayStation 3 in Japan on October 24 according to this week’s Famitsu magazine. The magazine also reveals the new playable character Kagura Mutsuki (voiced by Keiji Fujiwara). Pre-orders will include the downloadable character Yuuki Terumi (voiced by Yuichi Nakamura). Still no word on a release date outside of Japan but we'll keep you posted!

UPDATE!

Kagura Bio: Currently the head of the powerful Mutsuki family of the Duodecim, Kagura is the Library's highest order general. Because of his supreme position as general, he is planning to revolt against the Imperator.

Terumi Bio: Terumi has met Ragna in the past, but only as the alias and disguise Hazama. He also previously played a role in the Dark War as one of the Six Heroes. Cool, cruel, and especially sly, Terumi enjoys destroying and killing anything and everything.

Game Rules:

Rules: - In game button binding/macros are allowed.

-PS3 sixaxis and ds3 are HEAVILY discouraged.

-Turbos and hardware macros are banned.

-UMVC3 and ST are best 3 of 5 games

-TTT2 and DOA are 3/5 rounds per game.

-All other games are best 2 of 3 games. 2/3 rounds.

-Pausing a game is cause for forfeiture of the round except in cases of imminent victory. In case of dispute, the game’s pause screen indicates the player that paused.

-In case a pause occurs by neither players fault or a 3rd party, The judge or tournament organizer will either restart the match or advise the continuation of play from a neutral situation.

-Getting up from the playing area during match play or unplugging your control device willfully is considered a forfeiture.

-Players will be organized in pools. Pool size may vary depending on game and number of entrants. Pool start times will be posted online and in the venue. Pool check-ins will occur at that time. If a player does not check in, and is not present by the time the first round completes, you will be disqualified to losers. If a player has been disqualified to losers, they will be immediately DQ’d again if they are not present when that loser’s match is called. Time conflicts with other tournaments or a personal emergency are the only valid reasons to avoid the DQ. Eating or sleeping are not personal emergencies.

- Draw rounds awarded by the game count. Draw games do not count. So in AE, a draw round at 0-0 or 1-0 counts, but one at 1-1 does not. Replay the entire game.

-No floating under any circumstances. All efforts will be made to seed and separate regions in the brackets, but this is a tournament, and sometimes you have to play friends.

Game specific stuff:Akuma is banned in ST.(more later)
IJ: Interactables and Transitions on.

Arc Revo Cup Qualifiers Info and Results!

By Guest, in Home,

Arc System Works is holding qualifiers for their own SBO style tournament called the Arc Revolution Cup! These qualifiers are regional singles tournaments taking place all over Japan for BlazBlue: ChronoPhantasma, Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena, and Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Plus R. The winner of each Area Qualifier (usually 4-man tourneys comprised of winners of lower qualifiers in the area) will receive a Gold Ticket allowing them to participate in the main event in May. They will be taking place from February 16th through April 21st and the actual date of the Arc Revolution Cup is May 19th, 2013. A good number of top players have already secured their place in the Arc Revolution Cup and many more will probably join, shaping the main event into a true "Clash of the Titans" and one you will want to stay tuned for!

Listed below are the winners for each qualifier. Complete results are tentative as the qualifiers are still in progress and as such will be updated when information becomes available. For more information, [THREAD=15757]here's the thread[/THREAD] for the qualifiers/main event and links to recorded tournament footage (if available) on Dustloop. The official Japanese website for the event is available at http://arc-revo-cup.jp/.
