  1. 5D backdash I saw KoopaDoopa use a lot to bait chair against a Rachel after winded tech. Seems okay to use but costly.
  2. I just watched the replay. I never punished j.4D corner escape. Going to learn how to deal with this and never lose to it again.
  3. Haha jealous. Wonder if anyone can get a name on that Rachel.
  4. Noel. Online. Holy crap. No punish is powerful enough. No frame trap is good enough. Noel is not afraid.
  5. What's that? Keep talking about Rachel? Okay. Circ da man :3
  6. I made a "rachelmirrors" room. I should have named it the traditional name of "Rachel Boot Camp".
  7. Jealous. I want to go to BBR.
  8. I feel Tager can actually make you worry just by having a stock of Spark Bolt (they don't actually have to use it for it to be effective). As long as they hold on to it you will find yourself wanting to jump out more (and thus eat collider).
  9. Yeah. It all comes down to less chances in EX. But game plan should still be the same. Get life lead, run away, don't give him any chance to do any damage. The closer you are to him, the more damage he can do.
  10. KOOPADOOPA why can't I beat you (or anyone) in mirrors j.A > j.[C] mix-up is slowly being on my auto-pilot. Too bad I always give the opponent too much credit thinking they'll neutral tech and block. I need to remember to punish on a lower level first which is late-tech / forward rolls. But what... 6 different recordings in EXTEND? That sounds way too good. Easier to level up now :3
  11. Things can change dave. It's not like we can say anything with enough confidence since we don't have their arcade environment / player base / overall skill level to argue with whatever results come out.
  12. Rachel in A- tier? I don't have a choices.
  13. Bored with numbers (leading number is the match-up totals from that list). So grouping based on the ranges we get maybe... S (50 -> 75): Ragna, Valkenhayn, Hakumen A+ (35 -> 40): Mu-12, Carl, Taokaka A- (5 -> 15): Hazama, Rachel, Bang, Lambda B+ (-10 -> -5): Jin, Litchi, Relius B- (-40 -> -20): Platinum, Arakune, Tsubaki, Tager C (-110 -> -75): Noel, Makoto
  14. I like how that Ragna just kind of gave up. Damn rabbit!
  15. Thanks for poking people about this Polka lol. Can't believe I missed it when it was frontpage. Sakaku EX CMV on SRK frontpage But yeah, MyLifeIsAnRPG I've seen misspell many names. Rachael is a common mistake though. He also spelled Ralf from KOF as Ralph lol. It's all good I guess at least it's out there.
  16. I wish Iori was in a fighting game
  17. Imouto award. Yeah pretty much that. Pre-existing ability exists but it's not until you have exhausted all possible effort through deliberate practice that you'll see the (small margin) of difference the innate skill makes. My rock living quarters are located high above Japan. I guess you could say I ROCK OVER JAPAN.
  18. On a more serious note, I think a lot of people could benefit from reading about this study (especially salty netplayers): http://www.ascd.org/publications/educational-leadership/oct07/vol65/num02/The-Perils-and-Promises-of-Praise.aspx A long but worth it read about the different ways people approach the same problem of learning. There are two groups: - one that believes intelligence (or skill) is innate ("bad") - the other group believes it is something that grows ("good") protip: having the latter school of thought is better. Almost done with college and this is pretty much what happens at the upper-level.
  19. I thought Rachel mains were good eggs. Turns out they are all bad apples!!
  20. 236A/B/C you can punish with IB but it also matters at what point you IB'd the move. Look at the distance of when you guarded 236A/B/C. If you IB it at the end of its travel then you cannot punish it even with IB > 5A (your fastest starting normal). This is because her move hit at its last active frames and at that point you are finally put in blockstun and immediately afterward she starts her recovery frames. An example is 236A. Guarding it at the last active frame possible (8th frame) makes it +4 on block or +1 on IB (same concept as making something hit meaty). Just some info, doesn't hurt to try to punish it no matter what though. Tsubaki 236D = she's getting in there = get ready to block If you feel like a jerk, you can always spam 236A in attempts to discourage her use of 236X and instead she will try for 214X (has head & body invuln that can go through A lobelia).
  21. From Tsubaki data: 236A is -3 236B and 236C is -5 236D is +2 More than likely Tsubaki is getting in with 236D.
  22. Sort of last minute I got to go play so I didn't study up on anything beforehand. Methodically pressed buttons and tried joystick motions to see stuff. I watched videos when I got back and facepalmed when I saw a real combo. Whatever I was doing was stupid -_- Spammed j.2C > special cancel as my "victory" thing whenever I had a chance
  23. Played Extend at an arcade. I honestly couldn't tell I was playing Extend lol (in regards to Rachel changes). Relius though I had no idea what I was doing.
  24. I'm just blowing my mind right now. Reading nearly every article on this website. For starters... Prof. Oak was supposed to be a trainer battle? http://tcrf.net/Pok%C3%A9mon_Red_and_Blue Tons of other info for other games too. I'm nerd enough to read it all :V EDIT: Oh my. This is too interesting! http://tcrf.net/The_New_Tetris ANGRY COMMENT LEFT IN CODE
  25. Yeah looks like 2C is more useless in EX. Thanks for that other info though I honestly didn't know. 6B > 236236D or just normal drive counters seem to be a legit OS for Hakumen against cat chair.
