@TD: Good points. Never thought of 6B. 5C nets a fatal so I was thinking if you are going to punish mashing, you might as well get a higher reward for it. You can always mix-up your options once you have done 5A > 5C or any variation of this. If they throw, setup TRM. If they DP, try for bait the next situation you get. Anyway, I was just getting annoyed with Makoto 2A mash so I did XA > 5C stuff. It's always good to have more options. @kirbster: Keep at it. EVO will be hype man

Something I learned from playing Harakiri_Tiger all night. Just spam 6B in corner at max distance. Rachel has a hard time dealing with this. You cannot 2C 6B at max distance. Only thing that will reset situation is wind + tech. Overall: If you are defending, you are losing :<

kirbster that's awesome. You definitely should try for EVO 2012. What arcade button type will you use? Type-A is what I use now: B C D A Type-B I used to use before I switched which was after EVO 2011: A B C D I just thought having type-A would make me more aware of when I'm using wind so I switched. --- Also... I figured out my video problem. Basically, I can upload up to 720p but the TV I use to record stuff only supports standard NTSC settings. Thus, the max resolution I can get is 720x480. I should try to get an HDMI splitter with all the works for higher quality videos.

Another clip. Just some RC ideas I came up with. For the most part there isn't much use for RC with Rachel. It's still better to save meter for BBL / TD / RC to make 2C "safer" but maybe you might need this if you are going for the kill. Ragna can DP between 5B > 5C. Thing is, whenever you block 5C you usually expect the next part (5CC) so this might catch them off guard. I need to figure out why the resolution is butt whenever I upload to youtube. If only that were the case. Instead a friend of mine imported it. Once his copy arrives hopefully I can get offline casuals with him. I have some free time now so I'm going back into training mode. I already found some new Rachel tech to deal with some stuff I haven't found a solution to until now. Maybe I will record some of my findings and upload them (similar to my cross-under video).

Mostly I realized my approach to applying match-up knowledge is weak. Once you broke down your own match-up notes into sub-goals I think I have an idea of where I should go now.

Umm. I didn't ask for this but LK actually did a pretty lengthy match analysis of his own Makoto vs. my Rachel on his vlog from our XBL matches a few days ago. Lord Knight(Makoto) vs. glirandly(Rachel) Keep in mind I actually just borrow my brother's XBL to play. I am not SkyKing. Makoto matches end at around 20:00 time stamp. Litchi matches start afterward. I haven't watched all of this but I'm sure this will benefit everyone. It's harder for me to watch this video since it's my mistakes getting exposed but it'll benefit me in the long run. From what I watched so far he touches on issues like (some not necessarily Makoto specific): having Makoto go in for throw to get rid of George his decision process once Makoto gets orb oki in corner. Mainly dealing with wind with neutral tech late teching (why it's not really beneficial since it's really easy to punish) why people hate (or should hate) 2C (obsolete in EX, of course) Tempest Dahlia - trade 50 meter to regen some wind and get some easy pressure (but you knew this already, right?) Throws (and why my throw game is weak) Some of my own comments: 14:33 ish... Simple misinput. Wanted to go for 3C. Would be better to go for 2B. Holy crap look at all those full-screen punishes for auto-pilot summonings. . . . Anyway, I haven't really been active since it's final exam week but now I'm done. Be careful of frog oki as well. Off of activation if you are anywhere near him when he gets a counter off of George you will get caught in the counter anyway.

Not sure who this is. Maybe GreyFox? (he played her for a little bit but he's mainly Litchi). He's not active though so I don't list him. There was that Jin you played back in that CT tournament (Revolucion) that complained a crapton and later on he posted on DL about PS3 and 360 having "different buffering systems". Not sure what happened, maybe he went back to mainly playing Smash.

One of these days we should get a netplay room or actually do a gathering (or join Tacky on his UFO trips).
