yeah I realized he probably meant his multiple hit DD, although I wouldn't bother trying to catch it unless your catching the first or last hit...IB-ing for meter is probably the better option. or if he whiffs and he's still in animation you could go for full charge 6C shenanigans :3

if you mean the first initial upwards kick then yeah you might be able to counter that(I don't think it's unblockable) but if you mean the animation, then no. once it's started it's started. also big heads up, valkenhayn can combo into his astral. that's about as much info as I have on him at least, you might have to ask someone whose played with valk/against valk for more info. edit: unless you're talking about his distortion drive where he rushes you down with multiple hits(sturm wolf), you might be able to do that can anyone more experience in that matchup confirm or deny? :X (i'd test it but I'm posting from my computer at work right now)

Depends on who you're coming from playing/what types of characters you've played in other games. I've mainly played hakumen in BB so valk isn't too disturbingly hard. Don't force yourself to learn him if he feels iffy though. Not worth learning a character if you don't like their play style.

you'd be surprised >_> I'm gonna take a wild guess that once people learn the matchup they'll stop slapping their damn buttons so much though. I haven't taken a look at all of the changes noted for cs2 about him so I'm not sure which combos would be practical to learn at this moment >_>;

I might actually be down for both meetups this weekend. and spam dem normals with valk! kidding today was a good practice day with him, hopefully i can play sometime in the next couple of days again if i'm not too drained from work =_=;; but yeah, I will try to make it to both, if not i'll make it to frigid's after i get off of work.

yup I've been tossing it in with my 'usual' mixup with my friends online right now. everytime i either hear "FATAL!" or my friend yelling "GOD FUCKING DAMN IT! D:<" also dat j.DA > command grab setupppz XD that and I was screwing around with mobility. i didn't even bother trying to hit the guy i just went around him o_o edit: also holy shit I've been playing with valk since 10 am XD

*notes down* people don't realize 6C is an overhead yet for some weird reason :/ For now I'm gonna get some efficient combos hammered into my muscle memory, I've used wolf cancelling to save my ass from a few messed up links, but I really need to memorize some of them long as fuck 6k combos :3

i'm experimenting with dem wolf special juggles at the moment. being able to combo into sturm wolf and my astral is pretty nifty so far. I like having alot of good mix up with him too very interesting. need a week or two before i'd call him combat ready though >_> (mainly cuz i feel like peoples lack of this matchup is making up for my fresh experminenting with him.)

If it's any consolation I don't usually use subs. johnny and jam are exceptions cuz it's my favorite game and i like their styles. same with valk, valk and hakumen are now literally the only reasons i play bb :DDD

Yeah I definitely made a good call waiting until he came out to pick up a sub. I like his play style alot more than ragna or makoto o_o
