  1. Bait > Then Potbuster. Notes: - Two hit VV will beat Hammerfall. It is used a bit to break Pots pressure which involves a lot of Hammerfall breaks. It can be baited though. - Sol can Riot Stomp against SH on reaction. - He can Grand Viper and sweep under a lot of stuff and beat you most of the time. This includes, Close S, Far S, 5HS, 6HS, 6P, 6K, and Hammerfall. - Sol's kick beats or at least trades with Pot's air S. - 2S heat after Potbuster FRC. You can also do 2S 2HS into heavenly no problem. - 2S heat after throw FRC. - 5K 2S heat after SH. - 5K 2S 2HS into Reflector works when he is relatively close. - Don't try unblockable SH on his wakeup or prepare to be VVed. - You can 2P his Bandit Revolver, but his Bringer may clash. - You can flick Gunflame to halt his pressure if you feel confident. Try to do it on reaction instead of predicting it. You may end up flicking his Revolver or Bringer instead. Or 6Ping his Gunflame. - You can SH against Sol's air to ground pressure if you feel lucky.

  4. Just found out not too long ago that Heat Knuckle has a "clean hit" property to it. For a while, I thought that to get a untechable Heat Extend, was to use heat without comboing into it. But I noticed that if you do a 4 or 5 hit combo into heat then extend, your enemy cannot tech from it (Extend being the 8th or 9th hit in the combo). So Straight up heat with extend = untechable (4 hits) 2HS, heat with extend = techable (5 hits) 2S, 2HS, heat with extend = techable (6 hits) 5K, 2S, 2HS, heat with extend = techable (7 hits) 5K, 5S, 2S, 2HS, heat with extend = untechable (8 hits) Air HS, 5K, 2S, 2HS, heat with extend = untechable (8 hits) and this is a little unconventional but... 5K, 5S, 2S RC, 2S, 2HS, heat with extend = untechable (9 hits) Anymore hits than that takes up too much guard bar and they will tech out. Also, a moves that take away a ton of guard bar will allow your opponents to tech out, even if it is on the 8th or 9th hit. I guess what happens is the capability to tech out of a move becomes easier when the guard meter decreases, but at the same time you fall faster with a lower guard meter. So around that special sweet spot, the enemies fall too quick and hit the ground before they can recover. During gameplay, if you happen to have an opponent in this situation, it seems there should be no reason not to extend, unless if you want to get off a proper Oki. But against the corner, after the extend, you can still get off a proper Oki. So, "Release, extend??!!!"

  17. Ah I see, that helps a lot. I was doing a 63214569 motion, so that was the main reason the guy was flying the wrong way.
  18. I have been trying to do some serious combos with the Airbuster, but what I can't figure out is how to control the direction when landing one. Sometimes he moves forward, backwards, or stays neutral. I want him to do a forward movement, but he goes away from the corner to the middle of the stage and I can't combo further. What determines this?

  21. K, S, 2S, 2H, Hammerfall, Hammerfall cancel, jump install to P, K, JC, Buster. That just seems like too much work. I just use Heat after 2H because I'm a lazy bastard. You can tiger knee the Air Buster right after a CH 6P. But it is your ass if your opponent sees it coming.
  22. Sorry if this has been posted already but it wasn't posted on the front page. 2H frc time is done earlier now. It seems you frc on the hit or a couple of frames right after it. That is all.
