Yeah, by itself, I don't think it's a very good move. Or at least, it seems more of a mechanic to get in than out. With Peacock and Squigly, I'm thinking of calling the assist, then doing a teleport to see if I can get mix ups. It's gimmicky as shit but I wanna see what I can do with it. As an assist, you might be able to use it to re-center your opponents during combos? It's a brand new mechanic, I'm sure something crazy can be done with it. EDIT: Screw that, solo Peacock is way more interesting now.

Did a snapback on Fortune knock her head off before? Because that seems to be a thing now. Haven't actually tried anything much (didn't even plug a stick in) but Squigly may be the most hilarious assist ever so far.

Heads up, the Skullgirls Beta on Steam has dropped. Squigly is neat.

Hmm, Testament would a great choice but I still say you should play Baiken. I believe she got nerfed in +R, though. Seriously, he made me notes on how to do Millia's BnB on every character. I was super impressed, never actually learned any of it and just get mad whenever it doesn't land.

Heeeeeeeeeeeere's Johnny! Thinking of HQ this Thursday. 99% of it happening, just need to actually alert the roomies. I'm busy this Canada Day weekend so I won't be going but I have a suggestion: Throw a BBQ. Grill + paper plates + plastic utensils + groceries = surprisingly cheap and delicious. Easy to clean up too. Oh, and Rigel. My copy of BBEX is in the PS3. I have UMVC3.

Super sad story time. I may (like 90% chance) need to do some work over the weekend. Unless I can get shit done beforehand (unlikely), I'm gonna have to pass on UMAD (so mad bro). That said, I'm thinking of opening HQ this week so you guys can get your practice on. It may only be for Thursday and I may have to unlock the door for everyone as they come but I can something going if necessary.

Just an FYI, the price I quoted is tax included. You would need to add tax to the Greyhound price so it's still a bit cheaper. That said, Greyhound is probably a better idea. I've walked between the Greyhound station and Foonzo and it's like 20 minute walk.

Looking into it, it's not as cheap as I'd hope it would be. The cheapest rental looks like it's from Enterprise. I can get a van for the day at $80 (HST included) and 200km free. That said, one way is about 200km so we need another 200km. Each km is $0.25 so the way back is approximately $50. Then there's gas, which will likely be a tank and a half. So $120 in total. 1/6th is $20, 1/7th is $17.14.Plus gas, which I suspect the max is like $80. tl;dr, about $30-35 a head. This is contingent on that we get back to the rental lot by 11:30PM. Which means we gotta leave MTL at like 9PM at the latest. This may be a bit difficult with GG being at 7PM. Thoughts? Opinions?

The owners of the house have told us to pack up our shit and leave for August 31st. HQ will have to be closed before that. It's been a good run, guys. Here's to the successors.

Essay So with these numbers, I think we can rent a van and make it there. If we have 4, we can rent a car. Any more and we upgrade to a van (fuck 5 people in a sedan). If we rent a car, I say we drive there in the morning then drive back at night. The only thing annoying with this plan is that I can't drink if we go and that was like my game plan for UMAD. Unless someone else decides to not drink and drive back but I think that kinda goes against renting policies. CONFIRM AS FAST AS YOU CAN

There have been new people but I don't think it's them. I tell everyone to go to the backdoor and basement and no one usually even sees what the main floor looks like. Also, I'd also like to think that if you're looking for a dedicated place to play, you probably don't want to piss off the people who live there (at least, I hope people think this far). That said, bottles of liquor have gone missing as well. Judging from the items stolen, it just might be a high school punk looking for kicks or a crackhead looking for stuff to sell/barter with. None of any my electronic stuff was touched so it's not someone who knows the value of things. Unfortunately, this does mean that I have to close HQ indefinitely. Again, I don't think anyone from HQ is behind it. That said, we just need people to stay away from the house for a bit. Sorry for the bad news but it's gotta be done.

Ouch, that sucks on the healing part. I was playing with Baiken with Rigel yesterday. I like her normals way better than Millia's normals and her guard cancels are interesting. I love to roll as Millia and Baiken can effectively do the same thing while she's blocking (!). Obviously not the speed and pressure demon that Millia is but I could never properly set up as her, anyway. Still theory crafting but I'm liking her at first glance. I almost got +R...except my fucking Vita didn't come with any memory so I can't even download it. Until it arrives, we're SOL. /firstworldproblems Ooh, a team, eh? I always need to relearn SG every time I play but I'll see what shenanigans I can come up with.

I only really know of Essay's situation regarding UMAD. It all depends on numbers and how many we can confirm. I'm down and I'm assuming LiveWireX is down. Anyone else who can confirm ASAP? Also, the thought of Baiken is slowly growing on me. Maybe after another 50 losses with Millia, I'll think harder.

I'm just tired of consoles and the overall problems they bring. I'm tired of finding multiple copies of a game, tired of having to dual mod sticks, tired of finding differences between console versions, etc. Having a PC version doesn't solve all my first world problems but it definitely gets rid of a lot of problems with consoles.

Speaking of AC+R, I did end up getting a PS Vita. I was browsing the PSN Store and I found AC+R. Do I buy a game that I will eventually never play just for the change list? Decisions, decisions... I don't think Xrd will be the SC2 of AC+R (I'd say BB is the SC2 to GG's Brood War). Judging by the way they got the game to look and feel with the Unreal Engine, Arcsys prolly spent a ton of time just to make it look right. I'd assume they'd spend way more time just to make it play and feel similarly. All I want is a PC version. Seriously, fuck consoles.
