Well, I learned a bit watching that video: You can cancel J.2B to bait hakumen's drive on contact and Hakumen's drive will whiff. You can use 5D to fill in where most of your ranged attacks can whiff to limit dropping combos from close range I love how he opens up with OD activation, he gains MAX LV Spiral at the beginning of the round, and manages it throughout the fight, a very smart tactic if you ask me. You CAN combo off of LV 2 Seijuu. Spiral LV DOES make a difference in properties when you use that Distortion (even outside of OD). He couldn't combo off of the LV 1 version. Makoto can parry Amane's "Hariken" special and she takes no chip... Not surprised but something that should be noted for MU knowledge. I will add all of this to my notes.

if that's his name in the top corner (Nashi), then this player is one to keep eyes on too! This guy is solid! He made a few questionable decisions but other than that, he's good.
-
Mother of God... that damage, LOL! No oppai, LK isn't touching this character.
-
This is true, but I hope that's not the case and that LV does make a difference because it would make that Distortion so much more useful. Due to Amane's play style (utilizing his mid-ranged game to keep the opponents away), the best thing to do is avoid the situation and if you're caught in it, IB and gain meter for a CA or (dare I say it), wait for the opportunity for the opponent to drop and mash 2/5A (which I've seen so far). I wouldn't consider Relius as much of a threat as Makoto though, Relius' movement is not that fast and if played right you can keep him out and Relius' mix up looks pretty limited compared to other character's on the roster. Amane DOES has issues with Makoto and Hazama, that is fact from what I'm seeing in videos so far, Hazama can get in fairly easy if the player doesn't use his long ranged normals properly. Also when Hazama get's in, it looks like "Frame Trap City" and you're blocking for days since Amane doesn't have a decent reversal (if one at all lol.) I would really like to see how Amane deals with Nu since she is going to be the primary zoner of the game, her range is going to be longer than his and I would like to see if Amane has any answers to deal with her. I can make assumptions but I'm just gonna wait on the 28th when she becomes playable to see how that goes.

Casual weekends at Game Pazzo usually have the biggest turn-outs, there will still be a few other players such as nobody.exe, Heroic_Legacy and Kobayashi who won the monthly on Friday BTW and BlackSnake MIGHT make an appearance for Guilty Gear, if you wanted to get some games in, there will be people there, only a few of us are going to NEC. From my knowledge, the players of that archetype of game that are going are: SenXXi, ChosenNinja, Duckator and Myself Hit up Game Pazzo on Friday and I'm sure you'll find people playing it or bring it yourself and others will gravitate your way to get some games in.

GG's to everybody that showed up Friday Night! Persona was insane, we had more players than any other game, we also attracted more stream monsters as well and top 4 was intense! Shoutouts to Kobayashi for stepping his game up and taking first place, that was a very fun Grand Finals, taking it to all 6 games was WAY too hype and everybody that was there was highly entertained! Beating out AE and Marvel in numbers was a great feeling, and to see the amount that everyone stepped up since Fright Fight showed just how hungry everyone was. Thanks for the games guys! Everyone that didn't show up that could have missed out on something great! in other news: I will not be at Game Pazzo this Friday because I will be in Philly for North East Championship (NEC), along with SenXXi and a few other Chicago players. I'm sure there will be an NEC stream at GP on Friday so not only will you guys get in some good casuals but you'll be entertained with a stream at NEC!

I would like to see what the LV 2 version of that distortion looks like and see if it's possible to follow it up. If so, that would make things very interesting.

This Amane player (Wish we knew his/her name) is one of the more solid ones I've seen play, along with Shadow. There's another that goes by Puro (There's only one video of him IIRC) that could develop into quite the player. His spacing on Amane's long ranged attacks are utilized quite well but he lacks the use of the Spiral Drive. Once he starts using Spiral, he will be quite the Amane player to follow.
-
Shadow is known to main "Random Select" in just about every version of BB lol. EDIT: I'm looking into a lot of Amane videos and I'm coming up with a Character Analysis, I'm almost done so when I post it, if anyone doesn't agree with something in it or feel something is missing, let me know so we can correct it. I want everyone to have a better understanding of this character when we finally get it. Watching the videos, I learned a lot and I want to share with you all what I've seen and what appears to be working.

[CSE] PSN Match Finder/GG Thread
Chris Chaos replied to Amadeus46Art's topic in BlazBlue Online Play
> Needs preparation for BBEX for NEC > Sees Nineball's room > ... > YOLO GG's Nineball and Crossfire. After four installments, I have yet to take out Nineball's Ragna... I've come hella close but I can never close out against the guy. It's pretty depressing knowing this and the fact that CP is out in Japan, I cannot allow myself to let this happen for another installment... -
[CP] Jin Kisaragi Video & Discussion Thread [Updated 1/1/2014]
Chris Chaos replied to Jourdal's topic in Jin Kisaragi
Yeah, it's a move guard break properties (not sure of the actual name of the mechanic). Certain moves will automatically break your guard if you're not using your barrier to block them, that is one of them. -
I've never run into this guy but he appears to be infamous for sending such messages. I must find him and play so solid, that he thinks I'm cheating.

[CSE-CP] Jin General Thread "Jin it to win it... again"
Chris Chaos replied to Yuushiro's topic in Archive
Like Jin's theme, just that the sad violin part is a bit long if you ask me. Other than that, it's cool. Hit sounds doesn't bother me, not sure why but a lot of people are annoyed with it. I read it as "Same Attack Combo", my guess would be that it's a prorate warning. -
Looking good for me to show up but I won't be able to play in the tournament.
-
First off, if I haven't said GG's to anyone I've played on XBL; GGs. I'm headed home to hop on XBL for some Persona, I should be home in the next half hour so I'll open a room up.
-
MK is usually a Galloping Ghost thing, ALL the MK heads play there but as it has been said before; If you bring a set up, it will be played. Game Pazzo is the huge hang out everyone goes to so they can enjoy themselves and have fun and at times we will run tournaments. If some of your friends are Huge fans of MK and the want top competition, they should hit up Galloping Ghost. The Friday Night Event at Game Pazzo os pretty much a cluster of every game thats played, some more than others (Marvel/SSFIV are the huge turn outs, everything else has a good showing too but not as huge as those games). Sent from my DROID2 GLOBAL using Tapatalk 2

And that's why I'm playing him, also his Oki looks damn good too. Was that a LV 3 drill? the one that hits low? If so, that stayed there forever! Unblockable's confirmed, only if the opponent is silly enough to sit still.

Honestly, I wouldn't be too worried about how good or bad Amane "COULD" be, his playstyle is appealing to me and so I'll be putting in some time due to that. You can't really judge a character's strength from the words of an individual especially since it's only been Loc-Tests plays and not plays of the official build of the game, along with that, it takes time to develop tech. I'll take the guy's word as a heads up prior to playing the character but we'll see people doing it big in Japan with Amane about one month after it's released. True...
-
Yeah, that was me. I heard the PSN online play was better than the XBL version so I think you'll be okay. I however only have the XBL version so I'm stuck playing on that for awhile at least until my next paycheck comes in. I'm really hype with all the new things I'm learning with Anji, I can comfortably say that he's better than my Sol right now. I'm gonna keep grinding GG and P4U since those are the games I want to focus on when I go to NEC, I know I won't win GG but I want to make a decent showing at my first Major where I'm playing GG.
-
But... don't you have Nu again? I thought you'd be hype for that character more than Amane.
-
Welcome to the thread. I would usually be at Ignite Network as well but due to them moving I've been going to Game Pazzo as of late. There are some really strong GG players out there if you want some Good Games in for Guilty Gear.
