Montreal: Le Thread Generale Pour Weeaboo Fighters
Chris Chaos replied to BladeOfJustice7's topic in International
I plan on doing a lot for my YT channel dealing with BB and other various fighters. So travel is in my plans, even if I have to fly. Once I get things on my end worked out, I should be able to travel often. -

As much as I would love to go to that, I can't. The date's are during my Orientation for school I should have a passport and a car by late December though, if you guys got something going on then or plan to travel somewhere nearby, I would happily make the drive from Chicago to Michigan (To pick up a few people) to the destination where the event is going on. -

No thanks necessary. It needed to be done. Most Code Geass Fans are at a Level where I am. I can sense when the series is being bashed for no good reason. And now you know how I feel when people randomly post in the MI thread, but you gotta do what I do at times like these: Deal With It. -

WTF is this shit?! R2 was outstanding! -
I thought this would interest a few of you guys so I'll leave it here: It's optional, but it would be cool if I had some participation on this.

You are completely looking over the picture here, the answer is in your face and you can't see it... Cake says a lot of things that's full of BS but this is one of his smarter posts. Tournament's aren't just play the tourney and go home, there are casuals before, during and after the tournament. You do your homework by talking to others you play and taking their honest criticism and make changes to your game. If your losing and someone can tell you why and how to fix it, wouldn't you correct the issue so you can improve? If the answer is no, then you should not try playing this game seriously nor should you be playing any fighting game seriously. If the answer is yes, do it and see how much of a difference your game changes in the long run. No one is born a top player nor becomes a top player overnight, it takes time, studying, grinding, contemplating on your victories and letting the defeats sink in so you can think, WTF did I do wrong? If you can't figure it out, the tourney scene is there to help you identify the issues so you can improve on your weak points. Most players that support a scene will assist you in trying to get better because it makes their scene stronger and makes the competition a lot more fierce, if you're hungry for it and the guy's you're playing are too, you will all improve by working together. You're looking at what everyone is telling you in skew bro, actually sit down and read everyone's post, you will understand if you truly want to be a high level player or just have fun and improve in the game overall. I already posted a video with some truth about netplay, it's not perfect but it does help out a bit especially if you're playing with the right people and in time, you will know who they are if you already don't. But I'm just preaching to the choir, you are the one who makes the decision in the end.

OK, I'm going to post up a video where one person discusses the values of online play: Start @ 4:08 to 5:15 I completely agree with this statement here. If you find multiple players with a solid connection online that has a good understanding of the game, you can gain a lot from it. Granted there is always going to be input lag but we can all adjust to that. Now I will say this, playing at a tournament will give you a better aspect on how more advanced players play and inspire you (If you are dedicated to learning the game at a high level) to play more, and level up your skills. Heck, I got better over a weekend of playing top players at EVO, and everyone who's played me has said so. Both sides are right in this discussion. Online play can give you a good grasp on how multiple characters can be played which you can't get from offline casuals if your scene is too small or don't have a variety of characters. Offline play will give you an idea on what high level play looks like and give you a better grasp on how certain things are done and why. In the end, if you're serious about getting better at the game, you will need both.

Cool, thanks. I knew I wasn't crazy. I'm gonna have to inform him he's wrong, and not to panic.

Don't bash me on this but I just done with a conversation with another (unnamed) Jin player and he told me 6C was not DC able... I look here and I see nothing about that, is this some late news I missed out on or just some old BS?

Well, there's no better place to post a video of LK but in LK's thread. For those who haven't seen it, I got a nice interview with LK at EVO. Quite interesting if you want to hear his view points on BlazBlue or fighting games in general. Since it has a few BBCS2 Gameplay Related Questions, I don't think it's in violation of the thread so I'll drop it off here. I hope you guys enjoy it.

Very possible. You'll have to get the opponent airborne before you use Musou A, so you're probably running into your options being -3C (as a set up for 6a) -6C (starter) -623B -(CH) 623A These are a few options I can see being viable in the corner to get off the combos using Musou A. I'm sure there are more but those are 4 ways I can see you getting this to work. I can't wait for more Loc-Text vids to come out so we can see what else Jin can do, though I am not happy with these changes, I will adapt to them.

6A is going to be weird. I can see it's possible uses but not as an anti-air. There are probably going to be combos that allow you to use it with all the changes made, maybe 6C -> B ice car -> dash -> 6A -> whateverthefuck comes after that (maybe, just speculating here). And with the new knock-back buff, it's going to make it pretty hard for Jin to play his game mid-screen. - 6C> dash cancel >blahblah does not work in mid-screen From what was posted earlier SCAM, no you can't 6C-dash-2D anymore but... - 6C cause opponent flies away much farther - 6C has longer untechable time, 6C>dc>2C or Bdp works when near corner If the bold is clearly what I think it is, I believe it might be possible to 6C -> DC -> 2D since 6C makes the opponent fly further and it has longer untechable time (similar to how a counter hit 6C would work). Also, I know this is irrelevant but you can do 6C -> DC -> 2D off counter hit in CS2, maybe this will apply in CS2+ off of normal hit. If this is the case, we might still have a few mid-screen combos if that's the case but I'm not at the Loc-test so I hope somebody tries it to see if my theory is correct or incorrect (More speculating, don't bash me for it). Also, with the buff to 6A, can it be canceled by a super move or is the answer still no?

I third LunaKage for the IRL award too. He is one of the reasons why the MI scene stays strong, having casuals EVERY FRIDAY?! He deserves this. -

Shoutouts to all the D-N representatives for showing up and special shoutouts go out to ds getting in top 8, so glad to finally meet you guys shoutouts to LK, Yushiro, COR, Huey (Hell ALL of PNW who showed up), Dacid, Kayeff, Zeero, Rhino, Canadalien, Linear, PoserWolf, and everybody else I got casuals in with or just had a cool convo with. I'm just glad salt levels in BB never reached anywhere near the level of Marvel (looking at the nigga who threw his Madkatz TE on the ground after getting his super baited by Daigo and lost. Saltiest moment at EVO 2011 if not ever, LMFAO)... Can't wait to meet you guys again or casually play you online (if netcode is in our favor), add me if you haven't already. And if I forgot your name, shoutouts and GGs to all you guys. -
Nah, not the case. I did my own commentary in the crowd and had everyone in my section hype as fuck. I was on some Yipes level commentating and had my entire section rolling during Top 8. If only Black Onslaught were able to be there, commentating would have been hella hype! ShinSyn and B.O. for EVO 2012 BlazBlue Commentators! But for real, lets stick to asking questions in this thread, that's what it's made for anyway.

I had lots of fun, My room was hype, PNW room was hype, BB top 8 was hype, man I have nothing negative to say about EVO. Glad I got some experience and leveled up a bit.

Man, teams sound fun but, who can I team up with? Actually the real question is; who is willing to give me a shot at being a teammate? @ SkyKing If that doesn't work out, I am willing to participate, even though I'm not from San Antonio. -
