OH midscreen huh? Makes a little more sense now. Midscreen Non-Fatal, I've only tried to link a [W]j.A and go from there. Fatal Midscreen you can do a pretty tricky pickup by going 6CFC>6D>D>Land>[H]6B>2C>5C>JC>j.B>j.214B>6D>[W]j.236A>j.236B>C>j.B>j.B>Land>5B>IAD>j.B>j.A>Land>D>[H]5B>2C>JC>j.B>dj.B>j.C Its a difficult combo to start cause of linking the Fatal into 6B and getting both hits. If you think you'll mis the 2nd hit, you can just go 6B(1)>5C and go from there.

I can show you pretty much good food of any kind around here I just need to know what you're in the mood for :3 -
Landing any followup on Hakumen after the Wolf j.B>j.B part is quite difficult. If you really wanted to have a safe bet and you have the Wolf Meter to spare, you can borrow a CS2 combo by going etc>etc>[W]j.236A/B>C>j.B>j.B>3C>j.A>Land>D>[H]5B>2C/5C>etc This particular filler is a little bit more reliable on some of the cast who is awkward to relaunch(Haku, Hazama, Carl, Arakune, Litchi) and you end the combo a bit short but if you know you can do it, its a more reliable variant.

Thing about his 6C is that despite it being a Fatal, it actually has some weird Proration. You'd be better off going for max damage by ending in Konig Flug instead of Sturm Wolf as most good long combos that can build its own 50 Meter into Sturm Wolf are techable after the last hit which is BAD. So ideally, going for full combos into Konig Flug will be better in most ways. You get more heat(About 60 if you go for Konig compared to about 48 going for Sturm) and you only lose about 500 damage so unless you're sure it'll kill, go for Konig. I use this off of 6C, works Fatal or Non-Fatal which is good: 6C>2C>JC>j.214B>Land>Forward Dash>2C>6B>2C>JC>D>[W]j.AAA>j.236A>j.236B>C>j.B>j.B>Land>5B>JC>j.B>3C>j.A>Land>D>[H]5B>2C>JC>j.B>dj.B>j.C Does around 6.3K after Konig super and gets you about 60ish meter. EDIT: Other really good thing about this, you only need to tweak a few things and it will work in CS2 which is that much less work when it comes to learning CS2 combos.

If this is true, are 2v2's chosen beforehand or randomly picked?? -
IAD in Wolf doesn't save much, but it can be the difference between one reset into full combo and one reset into a loss of Wolf form :P You can use both in combos and still have good efficiency. For instance, [W]C>j.B>5B>JC>j.B>3C>j.A>Land>5B>IAD>j.B>j.A>Land>D>[H]5B>2C>JC>j.b>dj.b>j.C nets you about 2.3k Damage and around 25~ish Heat and after it all you'll have only used about 1/4 of your Wolf. Another thing that might help is hitting some corner only Meter saving confirms off of Rozen by going Rozen>9D>[W]j.B>j.A>Land>[5B>IAD>j.B>j.A>Land]x2>D>[H]5B>2C>JC>j.B>dj.B>j.C Gets you around 3.2k Damage with about 36 Heat gained And you'll end up with almost all your meter back after the whole combo is done:keke: But the first [W]j.B>j.A is HARD AS FUCK as its highly character specific when you hit them and crap like that so if you wanna make it a lot easier, you can go Rozen>9D>[W]j.B>3C>j.A>Land>5B>IAD>etc and you'll get the same result with only about a 1/4 of your meter gone. Quite worth it if you trust your execution. I'm working on ways to save Wolf meter while still gaining sufficient Damage and Heat.

You're doing much better now You had good punishes on that Ragna's 2D, hitconfirmed properly and had good optimization on your combos. I only have ONE real critique. @1:15~ish- You hit a 5C>Rozen but had only about half your Wolf meter. You had the right idea but you took a more risky route for doing the combo. When you hit stuff like that and you have only some Wolf Meter, its more optimal to try and instead of going for [W]5B>JC>j.B>3C>j.A for a loop, try and IAD after 5B instead of doing the 3C Dash after j.B. Makes it a little easier to manage the meter in that situation while I also being able to gain a really good amount of Heat for it. [W]5B>IAD>j.B>j.A>Land>5B>IAD>j.B>j.A>Land>D>[H]5B>2C>JC>j.B>dj.B>j.C This would net you about 40 heat and around 3.5k with 5C>Rozen>9D[W]j.A>j.B>Land>5B tacked on the front. Although I haven't specifically tested this exact combo, the idea is there. Get those IADs down and you'll save that much more Wolf

Yeah if you plan to use him in CS2, no reason not to start now. The changes to his combos are slight at best so it'll just involve doing various things in a different order. At least thats what I've noticed about it.

Combowise, Valk is actually a little easier in terms of getting full combos. 6C Cornerbound is amazing as now we can increase our combo filler getting to the corner. A few other tweaks to his moves will help him with various pickups too. Other than that, hes fine. Damage reduction is key spots was necessary. His combos are pretty much the same in terms of needed execution. Spacing and height is still vital to doing everything right with him. Other than that I see no differences :P I've been suing JP CS2 videos to give me ideas for CS1 and they've all worked so far.

That airthrow combo is the easiest and most reliable pickup assuming you have the airdash. Landing and trying to link into Rozen becomes a pain since being near the corner for the throw will mess it up. I was debating over an airthrow combo or my way of doing Command Grab RC midscreen. But I decided to just do that.
-
Soooo...My friend from Iplaywinner finally got the little Combo video for the BB section on IPW's site recorded! The only real practical combo is the first one which is what I do after an Air Throw since its somewhat more universal than landing and trying to link into Rozen. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiJVRtXUuFg

If I recall correctly, thats the way they define a Link in combos. Also I have no clue if this was fixed in CS2. I haven't seen a japanese player even try to throw midscreen. So I'll assume no they haven't fixed it :3 EDIT: I didn't notice this is pretty old. Why haven't people been using this more?! Its sooo good :3

Sounds like Coopa is on a quest to challenge Dacidbro's skills with the entire cast:keke: Can't wait to see the Tager/Rachel MM :3 -
Double post: Found the most strange thing you can do off of midscreen forward throw with Valk. Its very character specific as it ONLY works on Bang and Arakune. So the way it works is when you're midscreen and you grab either of them with the basic 5BC Grab, if you Rapid Cancel the throw as soon as possible, a hitbox issue pops up where after the Rapid, Valk will appear in FRONT of the now flying Bang/Arakune and he will be forcibly sliding with them. Now for the reason why this is AWESOME!: Normally, midscreen, you get nothing combo wise from the throw but now if you Rapid it and slide with them, when they hit the ground, you can follow up the combo with 2C>6B>2C>5C>JC>j.B>j.214B etc and net a good 4k meterless damage and most of the spent meter back to Valk. This makes his pressure and mixup much more rewarding and therefore much strong when he has meter against Bang/Arakune. This makes the Bang/Arakune matchups either flat even or even in Valk's favor given that his mixup has another level to it against them. The more you know :3 EDIT: For completions sake I tested out combos to see what you could get off of it. You also have to make sure you don't duck to start the 2C right away or else they will fly over your head. You have more than enough time to wait till they hit the ground to start the combo. 5BC>RC>Delayed 2C>6B>2C>5C>JC>j.B>j.214B>5D>[W]j.236A>j.236B>5C>j.B>j.B>Land>5B>JC>D>[H]j.B>dj.B>j.C 4183 Damage and 41 Heat is regained from the combo. This makes it very worthwhile as you get back 80% of the heat you used to start it. If you have that extra 9 meter then you could end on Air Super for ~5300 Damage.

I challenged him to a Dinner MM Valk vs Ragna since he said his Ragna was doing too good today and he hadn't played my Valk with it in forever so I decided why not? FT3, went to the last hit of the round of the last set but I fumbled a bit. Oh well, can't say it was a bad match :3 -
In CS1??? 2C and hit 10k in CS1 :3 Its his absolute best starter. If its an AA, 2C hits about 6.8k with Super ender but it can hit almost 8k if its grounded and it builds its own meter for a Sturm ender! CH2C>JC forward>Land>2C>6B>3C>2C>5C>JC>j.B>j.214B>5D>[W]j.236A>j.236B>5C>j.B>j.B>Land>5B>IAD>j.B>j.A>Land>D>[H]5B>Sturm
-
I think 2C will still be a good AA. They just toned down the reward from it. You can still hit almost 7k with it in CS2. They just made 6A more worthwhile as well. Also, little known fact that Valk's 5A is quite good at being an AA too. Quick, good hitbox above Valk's head and gets you a simple Wolf combo into oki. Quite strong if you're unsure of a bait or not.
