Valk's game should be relentless rushdown and mixup, it should make Ragna look like an idiot to an extent. Valk has Kara cancels and a 6 way dash in wolf form with the ability to change direction very quickly making it insanely hard to keep track of him. Mashing doesn't work either as you can bait anything like DPs with [w] 4/7C which has invul frames. Kara cancels from 6C and 236B make his mixup scary as you can cancel with 3D, land, command grab or you land and bait a jump with 5B which is an AA OR you could even bait the jump and do an air command grab :3 From there, well the rest is kinda free form. If you learn it well, Valk has FRKZ style mixup just in very short bursts. A prime goal should be to make it impossible for the opponent to know which side you're gonna hit from so an ideal situation is Kara into 9D and then hit [w]2C the moment you are directly over them. Makes it near impossible to know where to block let alone high, low or jump the grab. You could also go Kara 8D>[w]3C and make it an ambiguous crossup from the front rather than top. AND from there, you have even more Wolf Dash shenanigans to be had! if you Kara 9D and hit [w]1C when right above the enemy, you land back in front of them for a feint crossup and it will prevent them from trying to just run out from under you. You just need to be cautious of your Wolf meter usage as going for stronger mixup will net you less overall damage. So thats where his trade off is, Heavier mixup vs. Heavier damage UNLESS you hit command grabs which allow refreshed mixup into whatever. I fucking love this old bastard!

Actually, Bang having bad AA options is a common misconception. His only LEGIT AA(As in having head invul) is his 5C which is weird as fuck BUT his 5B can beat out almost anything thats in the air. While I haven't tested it, it mostly will beat out Valk's [h] j.B but not his j.C. Likewise, I'd guess his [w] j.B may be kinda hard to beat out too. Bang has nails which puts Valk on defense instantly and even if Bang lost his nails and got put on defense, there are gonna be a few holes in Valk's pressure Bang can exploit with 2D. So its probably 6-4 in Bang's favor cause even though he has more options, Valk's damage fucking hurts even Bang's 12k health. Also one thing in Valk's favor is that Valk is the only character who can match Bang in the mixup department thanks to Wolf dashes. Valk's ability to have nearly un-reactable mixup is gonna be hard for Bang to deal with. Also interesting thought, I can imagine high level of this being a command fest since both sides lack reversals :3

Whats really fucking dumb is that PS3 STILL freezes sometimes. I was playing at my friend's house a few days ago and I went to Ranked, training and picked Valk vs Tager cause I already know a Tager specific combo and I got a match, won, went back to training and it froze up...

Ok so good news! I am so far confirmed for going to this! So assuming the plans are the same, I've got Dacid and Willy in my car. I can fit one more easily and I've got exceptional space for equipment so thats not a problem. So like Chun, Kelvin, Mystic D or people around me can tag along if they'd like, just let me know.

Thats why I mainly suggested it as an alternate to the usual ranbats. Not make AS serious with all the ranking crap and just fuck around for a while. Newer players can get into the scene while veteran players can make some hype! 2v2s should be in no way as serious as Singles. We can make it like the SVGL 2v2 monthlies we used to do, smaller entry fee, less risk, get paired up randomly and cause some chaos! And Nate, Big Bitches are going all the way to the top! My Valk is UNBEATABLE and I don't even have a PS3!

SO I wanna see some 2v2s thrown into this gathering at some point. It makes for some hype shit and it makes everyone get to know each other a bit better. Plus team names would be pretty funny too for instance, I'd wanna team with Nate so we can be team "Big Bitches" :3 But on a more constructive note, I was thinking that we could either do 2v2s as a side event at the usual ranbats OR alternate each month between singles and 2v2s. Singles are hype, but when someone OCVs the other team from near loss, people fucking shit their pants with hype!

I'm guessing the training stage was added to accompany the challenges. Although I've never had an issue with it, a soft ban is ok. I can't believe people can't notice how far they are from the corner mid match...Its second nature to me by now no matter what stage I'm on.

I will see if I can make this. Definitely interested but it all relies on whether or not I actually have a car to drive that day If I do go however, I would be very willing to pick up people along the 680 route. If I get the car I think I'll be getting, I can fit me and 3 others VERY easily with a huge trunk space for whatever you wanna take with. But still up in the air at this point. EDIT: I DO have one kinda big request...I'm very much considering entering this with Valk for the sake of using him in tourney play. So I'd like to hope that we have PS3s with Valk on there to accommodate that??
