  1. When Tager is doing his typical block string crap (5a, 5a, 5c, 5d, sledge xN) what can Carl do to get out of it? Sometimes I get hit out of vivace, i need something way more consistant.
  2. If a hazama starts a blockstring into his command stance mix up what is the best thing to do? I have been instant blocking the overhead and punishing his follow up into sandwich but he also has the low option too which catches me when looking for the overhead. I can jump back and faultless defend but then I dont get any free damage. Vivace doesnt help as it seems to get punished. Any ideas?
  3. Not that GG and BB players are generally interested but it's worth knowing that Daigo will be at SvB: http://www.neoempire.com/?p=3910
  4. Ok, lets say that order but Carl being right next to Nirvana and landing that combo.
  5. That's fantastic stuff guys, i'll get right on them By number 2) I meant: When you land 3C with all three characters stood together what do you recommend to do? As you're too close so if you do IAD j.2C allecan the opponent is being pushed away from Nirvana.
  6. I got the game a couple of days ago and have been doing the j.2C~j.C 2]D[ stuff as well as the allegretto 8]D[ business but there are a few other combos I was wondering what you guys do. A few questions if someone could be so gracious 1) After a Fatal Counter Hit j.B wallbounce I have been doing (depending on height/distance etc) 5C, sj.B,j.C DJ j.BxxAllegretto. Is there anything better? 2) When you land say 3C with nirvana stood over you both what do you recommend to do? 3) What are his main combos off his throws when Nirvana is no where near you? I imagine 22]D[... but then what? 4) I keep landing CH 623]D[ when I am behind Nirvana and often can't get in fast enough to get a combo and have to resort to IAD j.B xx Allegretto. Is there anything else I should do? 5) N-C-O If I land 5B,5B xx 623C in this position is there anyway to combo into Nirvana? 6) When you're in the position C-O-N and land say 2A, 5A, 5B, 5B, 6]D[ what is the best thing to do after? As I find myself just doing constant block strings with 6C mixed in and going for throws for damage. Thanks guys.
  7. Anyone have the CS characters color charts? Like a big image with all the different colors for each character? Mainly Carl's. http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg294/Aviaen/carlcolorchart.jpg found it...
  8. I know it's "not that big of a deal" but I was just hoping someone could list some basic CS Carl stuff for me to try if they know it off the top of their heads. No worries. Thanks Zong one, appreciate it. Look forward to the updates Kyle.
  9. While I totally appreciate your work and have already printed off your 101 guide to Carl could you not just give me at least one or two BnB's to try out? please. I know I can just watch the countless Carl BBCS vids online and work them out from there but I prefer to have the notations down. Urgh, I guess I'll just have to watch some vids, pause, try the combo, play, note it down, pause, try the combo... Thanks Kyle
  10. Does anyone have a list of carls BnB's? Like for example what CS-Carl does after: 2a, 2b, 3c, teleport, IAD, j.2C~allecan, 2c... I think it's something like j.2C, j.C.. something Or what he does for max damage when whilst opponents is sandwiched he lands: 5a, 5b, 5c, 6]D[... A list of his BnB's would be greatly appreciated.
  11. http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?9103-Carl-Clover-CS-101-Reseting-to-Victory! I hope this thread can be filled with as much Carl info as possible, contributions from all over would be great.
  12. Fantastic In the mean time, could someone please do a small list of his most important stuff/changes and what his B&B combos now are? Would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  13. Does anyone know if there is a guide to CS Carl on here (or anywhere else)? The information is sort of splattered throughout these threads. Would be great to have all the most important stuff and changes compiled into one thread. I know Carl from CT but need to know as much about the changes as possible, aswell as what his new combos are (rather than just watching arcade infinity and japanese matches) lol.
  14. Good stuff man, hope to see you guys there
  15. Oh no it's not that the D bug is off angle and doesn't hit them but that after the D bug hits them multiple times and they are on the floor they can tech before the rising D bug comes out of the ground. I'll try and make a video of it.
  16. Question: In fever mode when I do 3aa, 5C+D more often than not after the D bug hits on the way down the oppoenent can tech before it hits them back into the air on the way up? Any ideas? Also when you do the the 5C+D part what is ara meant to do? 5D or 5C or 5C>5D? thanks
  17. Would be great to see you guys at the event , there will be a lot of players attending. The organisers wanted to get the word and date out there as soon as possible so that overseas players have time to sort out travel etc. --- Yeah, we want BB:CS as much as you guys do. If it's out (JAP/US/EU) before the event then it will be used ^__^ --- There are also cash prizes, I won about £250 last time and that was only just after the game had been released on console. The turn out (and therefore cash prize) should be larger this time around thanks to its EU release ^__^ The winner of SFIV got over £800 lol popularity eh?!

  19. Fantastic help as usual, explained well too. you should write an Ara FAQ as I am sure it would help anyone thinking of using him. I's that 100% curse combo after 2C FC: falling j.D>5D>j.A>j.C>j.D? aaah I have been trying it as soon as they are launched rather than waiting. When the 236C+D hits do you mash 6D? I mean is the moment you press 6D during 236C+D the perfect time to chuck out 6D or is it worth pressing a few times?
  20. What is 2c FC? I presume it's 2C (shark along the floor) and FC is Fatal Counter does that mean chucking out 2C when you know your opponent is going to hit buttons is viable? Also when you guys are doing DBug relaunch do you space yourself then do neutral j.6C > 236C+D or do you do a forward jump or a super jump?
  21. Thanks for the help Kousaka, I tried it all out last night and nearly everything came together ^__^ Couple of questions though: 1. I could land the wheel loop off a random D bug hitting but when the opponent is blocking your barrage of bugs what can I press to combo into the D bug to break their guard? Like if i do 6A or 2A and either one lands what gatling or bug inputs would be best to combo into a D bug and start the loop? 2. Also I was doing 2AA (Abug) 2AA (Abug) but didn't know what then to press to combo them into a D bug as it's start up is quite long before it appears. Thanks again.
  22. Thank you Kousaka. A real help So ways into these loops would be from stuff like: 2AA>A bug>2AA>A bug>2B>B bug> wheel loop 1? What are the main ways into these? Do you combo into them off say the last hit that cursed them like you did in CT ala 6A, 5D, 214A, Cbug, Bbug, 6C loop? So in CS if you have 60% curse built up and you land 6A, 5D you would then do? Or is it certain combos you have to land seperately after you have gone into fever? Or do you look for a random bug hit and try to hit them with a j.236C+D? Sorry about all the questions.
  23. Sorry to ask this like some random scrub but does anyone have the exact notations for both the Wheel loop and the Dive loop? I have checked through the thread and have found bits but it would be really helpful to have them both listed and ways into them as I have my first opportunity with BB:CS tonight to try this stuff out extensively. Thanks a lot guys. Would really appreciate the help.
  24. Bangwagon.
  25. Thanks for your help, little more info on the notation/timing needed: I presume you just hit the 5D as soon as the 3AA ends as you can't cancel 3A into 5D can you? The A bug fills the gap I guess.
