  1. Yo people, if you want to start doing some BB tournaments, holla at me.
  2. What's the hit box on BE? It looks really picky at times? Do you have to be above or below the character to hit them with the full BE? Also, since I haven't seen it anywhere, what is the command for BE?
  3. Yo, anyone up for some BB casuals this weekend? And would anyone be up for a BB tournament the weekend of the 23rd and 24th this month?
  4. Using more characters, in my opinion, improves your game. It provides more perspective as well as adds the tactical aspect of that character to your arsenal of general knowledge. Learning the speed and options of other character, via walking in their shoes, really gives you the edge when you have to face that character. Also when you hit your plateau with your character (it's the worse and it happens to everyone!) having a second character can help you through it; give your eyes and your hands a change of pace. So for you, new Noel guy, stick with her but once you get comfortable maybe you should give someone else a try as well.
  5. Eh, depends on how the competition is. I think mirror matches improve your game vastly; you sometimes see and find out things that you didn't know before about your character.

  6. Haha. Just a little, man. So I'm thinking about rounding up some of the michigan BB players and getting series of biweekly winter tournaments started, would you be game for that?

  7. I just went against a Litchi today and my best asset was patience and a keen eye. Staying in 5B range is critical for Ragna, but even still, I made liberal use of the barrier guard - this forced the aggressive Litchi to restart their offensive which gave me more opportunities to catch a mistake. I punished toss aerials with 6a until the flow changed. When it did, I did my best to bait the DP then rush down after she didn't have the stick and I used my gauge to RC and continue pressure. Her gimmicky combo (which all consists of the same move, I swear), has to be stopped before it starts. The best way I did it was with light use of IAD to j.C to j.D. Turtling, mixed with some pokes to provoke aggressive, is really the best way to go about this match up.
  8. Yo, you up for some rounds of blazblue?

  9. Play to be the best. That's my mentality. Everytime I play, I play to grow. It's not about winning or losing, but how I better myself. I love a good challenge and I love playing people better than myself.
  10. Thanks for coming in and playing those casuals with me last night. We all had some really good games. We gotta get Skye in next time. I really look forward to playing you again.

  11. That's coo' man, you're not too far away. And I'm in Southfield/Farmington a lot, so you're only a stone's throw away from there.

  12. When all of my mix-ups fail and I've been pushed almost into 5C range by barrier, sometimes I like to throw out a 2D which is pretty safe at that range and on hit it, especially if it's a counter-hit, you can follow up with 5C into the BnB air combo. If used sparingly, that max range 2D will definitely help anyone's mix up game. Up close though I wouldn't recommend it - it doesn't combo into anything on block as far as I know and it might be punishable.
  13. You're on the west side with Axis?

  14. I stay on the east side, Skye. Outer Drive and Mound.

  15. Thanks for the add.

  16. Hey, that's cool. We gotta hook up and play some rounds sometime then.
  17. Yo, what's up guys? What are we going to do for the Michigan BB scene in 2010? I've got a little sway with the gaming club at Schoolcraft college - we're an eager bunch - and they're down for hosting tournaments on campus. Does anyone have a problem with driving to Livonia? If so, what about Garden City, we can always hit the gameyard as well.
  18. You know what changed that I don't like? The barrier burst system. I don't know if anyone has commented on it, but I dislike the fact that you could possible go into a match without a barrier burst. I watched a couple of best to five matches of BBCS and was rather concerned when one player had no bursts going into the last match while the other had two. Now I know this may become apart of people's stratgey, but I think it was an aspect of blazblue that didn't need to be fixed, just tweaked; if they removed the damage pentalty, everything would have been fine. I just hope that on the console version of the game, there exists an option to increase how many bursts you can potentially have in relation to the amount of matches you're going to be playing.
  19. The best way I handle it is by anticipating it. People are getting really smart nowadays and the old deadspike to keep them on the ground and things of that nature aren't as effective as they used to be. But with Ragna, after getting them used to the mix-ups and timing when they'd jump away and at the sight of what attack, I started running underneath them for a baby cross-up. This works only once, of course, because then they start attacking while they're jumping away - but at least that opens it up for a short dash to 6a for Ragna, or an ID (I dont know if GH would work in that situation).
