I don't see why it would be changed: its function has always been pretty straightforward. You get a Heat level and don't lose any while OD is active, that's it. The fact that you don't lose Heat on block does not really change anything, just like giving Afterburner shorter recovery doesn't make its Heat gain aspect weaker. It's still a strong tool that boosts your damage and mobility, even if your offense stays the same (but still stronger than in previous versions).

They just had to show him today of all days, hadn't they? On a more serious note, I can't help but think of him as a djinn version of Joe Higashi. He's also going to have lots of fun jumping around in the Vega match-up. For some reason, I like him less than Hakan, even though Hakan has worse design both visually and in gameplay.

I am sorry. Why wouldn't I be serious when my original point was about the mechanics and the animation matching in two different games? You're missing it in its entirety if you ignore the animation.

You don't have to change much to change everything. A little bit of flavor goes a long way to make people care about the character. If HOS's power-up mechanic wasn't just "He levels up, that's it", maybe people wouldn't be so miffed about him having a chance at winning the Xrd poll.

1. They can make a PC version of the game. 2. They can make netcode for the console version of the game. I'm very doubtful that they can't make netcode for the PC version. You don't have to be a game designer to think so.

They finally brought back Bloody Roar, cool. The developer is iffy, so my expectations are pretty low. As long as it's not broken beyond belief and has some merit outside of its character designs, I'll be happy.

None of those have been done by shouting in a mic, to my knowledge.

I mean, yeah, sure, they take inspiration from the same source, but it's still funny how both of them use the mic to build up hype along with the damage. Most games would leave that for story mode dialogue or whatever.

Apparently, she has some Beowulf-like mechanics with the mike and stuff. Good to see that inspiration goes both ways.

On Faust's side, I find this to be a match-up where I have to stay in the air for a while, as SE covers way too much horizontal space that you can't out-poke. On the other hand, our aerial buttons can fit pretty much any purpose, and FDC serves as a nice anti-anti-air measure. Don't forget about j.D: it might lack j.S's damage, but it got more active frames, so it's easier to jump in with it. If Ky knocks you down, you can play around his 6HS oki with 5D YRC. If he goes for a different timing, you can go for a reversal super; not sure if either of those can counteract 236HS oki since it lasts for so long, but trying to crawl under it will only make you regret it.

I see nothing nonsesical about giving credit where credit is due. Gotta wait for Karin and the rest now. Loving the way they ended up making Mika stand out amidst all the sameface grapplers of SF. I just hope that all the assist shenanigans won't turn her into some other type of character.

That "Ki" looks an awful lot like ヒ to me. As for the kanji, I believe it's 慧. And yeah, it seems that the reading is either Chinese or Korean.
