  6. GGs thunderbolt, ctrlaltwtf, and that one derpy Litchi player. Thunderbolt, you seem to be getting better at mashing out of pressure at the right times- just make sure to use your other resources like your Bursts and Counter Assault. I dunno if you're on a "no Burst challenge" or what but I don't think you used a Burst once when we played lol.
  7. It could be like Blazblue where the training dummy always wakes up with a standing animation even when you set them to crouch block. Mu can get some training-mode only fuzzy guards this way, for example. Anyway, if you want to do the real fuzzy guard on Narukami, just do deep jC > rising jAAAA etc.

  10. Omg that was so awkward. I was like "EricP? What the eff?" Shoutouts to P4 top 8 being hype as hell. Animay is not dead. Shoutouts to shtkn, Jyosua, Xie, pochp, Bibiquadium, and anyone else who helped out organize, commentate, stream, and otherwise help out the tournaments. You guys put in a lot of effort and even though the tourney area was kind of a clusterfuck this year you guys made it all work out. Shoutouts to everyone who came out to support the side tourneys. I heard almost 100 people signed up for BB, even though a lot of them didn't show up. Shoutouts/GGs to Sukurabu, Jyosua, JaysonD, Taylor, TheBeautifulDude, pochp, Colpevole, Grover, the other Yu player at the Atlus booth, that one Yukiko player at the Atlus booth who bodied everyone(choseninja?), that one other Chie player at the Atlus booth, brkrdave, raptor, Schneider-X, iw2ma, Deathscythe, ehaungsan (your Ky really inspired me to get better at GG), and anyone else I might have played over the weekend, sorry if I left you out or forgot your name. Shoutouts to my Mu bros pochp and Nemesis. Too bad C0R couldn't make it this year again.
  11. Lots of new Naoto footage from latest a-cho 3on3. Naoto's name is Waka based on the announcer; this guy is bananas. Solid play and sick reads, and knows his confirms; definitely watch to see how he handles these matchups: Motose (Labrys) vs Waka Yukiko vs Waka Line (Aigis) vs Waka -->Midscreen to corner DP punish against Aigis, also works against Yu: 5C (air CH) > IAD jA > jB > dash 5C > 214A~Cx5 > Mudoon > dash 214D > 5AA > 236A~D > 236B~DxN (9.8k, need 30 meter to start, can also do 5C air CH > 2[C] > etc.) Shikki (Yu) vs Waka Mokke (Yosuke) vs Waka Mii (Aigis) vs Waka Sukiyakari (Labrys) vs Waka And another Naoto from a different 3on3: Line (Aigis) vs Naoto Motose (Labrys) vs Naoto
  12. I'll always be down for Persona if people only ask. It's not like a whole lot of you played the game to begin with. I hate when people say the game is going to die or they're going to quit playing after EVO; like EVO was the sole purpose of playing the game. Did we not have fun with the game well before EVO? If anything, the top 8 play at EVO only inspired me to play more.
  13. That Mu oki was rather loose, I'll need to find a better example, but I swear I'M NOT CRAZY lol. I don't know how soon Litchi can command the stick to attack after activating Daisharin, so I could be overestimating and it's only a thing against non-meaty setups. But having that kind of option seems really good for a char like Litchi, who can just turn things around when she gets the advantage once.

This isn't the best example since Litchi OD'd and then All Green'd, but you can see Galileo popping wakeup OD in other vids.
  15. Litchi's OD looks like one of the best. Just pop it on wakeup for an instant momentum reversal. Mu's OD seems like it has a lot of lockdown potential, but I never see any Mus use it, let alone her bomb loops probably because they're too busy rage bursting

One note about the chip string - If you have a surplus of meter, you can go into it much more easily if you do a blockstring into EX trap, or do EX trap oki without having to do the forward jump 214D and what-not. Keep it in mind when you have a bunch of meter and the opponent is lower on life. Who needs mixups when you have chip lol?
  17. Why do all these improved confirms have to come out right before EVO lol. Burst-safe SMP off D trap with 50 meter + burst, and 25 meter + Burst SMPs off air-to-air, must grind.
  18. I was going to post about safejumps but Diarmuid ninja'd me. Here is a good video example of the safejump vs Kanji: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uR014E1Kz0o&feature=youtu.be You can cancel the 5C into 5B, sweep, attempt a 2[C] or trap set, or go for jump-cancel/IAD pressure. And don't forget jC is jump-cancellable on block, so once they respect it you can abuse this for Ragna style jC > jump cancel deeper jC pressure, falling jA/B, or even jC > trap set > falling jA and what-have-you. And don't worry about bitching; we've all been through it before. You should read the posts from back when the game first came out, it was like the Naoto Support Group in here lol... Btw, do you guys think there should be a thread about Naoto's pressure, mixup, oki/setplay, etc? Or is the general thread + matchups enough? I feel like it's another important part of her gameplan that's kind of just scattered everywhere. It would be nice to have a thread just for stuff like safejump setups, what to do vs X's DP, and how to actually hit people in general.
  19. I like the command throw a bit more due to the 2 free charge. It really helped fix one of her biggest problems, not being able to be aggressive while getting charge at the same time. The UB will be missed, but at least you can do a ghetto "UB" guard break with Install 22D lol
  20. JA> jC is fine too; doesn't just have to be jC. You can even do dash, jump forward airturn jA/jC to double as a crossup throw bait.
  21. If you're at least at the player starting position, Throw > followup > delayed Mudoon > daaaash etc. will always hit the corner for a SMP, since the throw followup is untechable longer than 2C. Also don't neglect throw baits with Naoto once they get used to you throwing a lot. Run up > jump back jC. jC CH is a great starter. Denpa demonstrates this quite well here.

  23. Yeah once you get the general theory it's a lot easier to improvise a SMP off any random hit. They're not really hard execution-wise, but keeping track of resources and what you can go into at any given time is the real challenge.
