The increased pushback on hit for normals is really noticeable. I kept finding myself dropping a combo into 3C from a range where it would normally work in BBCS. Of course, combo'ing into SoD and then stein cancelling for quick setups just seems strictly better now anyway. Midscreen blahblah SoD > 5D > dash 2D 214D still works for the "go-to" setup but you don't get as much of an advantage off of it. The increased recovery on Totsuka is also very apparent - get used to TK'ing it if you want to use it on the ground. Her zoning is definitely less autopilot this time around for sure.

Finally finished downloading the digital version. Oh god how do I do new combos. Ikutachi is definitely stein-cancellable on hit only. The airdash cancel backwards takes a bit of timing too - you can't just mash it. The new stein placements definitely take some getting used to. Some important things to keep in mind is that the new 2D sets a faraway stein like the old 6D, the new 4D sets a stein above you like the old 2D, and the new 6D sets the stein much farther away than BBCS. The air stein placements are pretty much the same, except j4D sets the stein much higher in the air. It seems like they didn't want us to so easily set a midrange stein. English Mu uses a lot of the unused voice clips from BBCS. Also Ikutachi's official English name is "Sword of Infinity". I mean tomorrow. The game officially comes out Thursday, but Japan is like 15 hours ahead of us. In a Magical Christmas Land scenario it comes out around 7PM on Wednesday. -

Yeah the digital release should come out on the JP PSN store around Wednesday night or Thursday morning. It's about $120 to get a 10,000 Yen PSN card off Play-Asia and they e-mail you the code pretty much right away. Which is about how much importing the LE would cost but you get some extra leftover for DLC. I emailed Nippon-Yasan to cancel my preorder since they won't ship until the release date anyway; I don't want the Rachel figure THAT much. -

I would be down for games on Friday if Ruben is okay with it. I'm thinking about cancelling my preorder and getting the digital version instead. That way I can gameshare the digital version with Ruben so we can have two setups. -

Only seven more days... I would love for P4A Ultimax Suplex Rainbow Edition to be at EVO, but will it even be out on a console by then? BB needs a chance to finally shine, and CP would be the game to do it with. Everyone is gonna be all over Xrd for EVO 2015 anyway. -

It turns out when the internet bill was overdue, Cox unplugged the coaxial cable up on the telephone pole, which is why they weren't receiving my modem's signal. Of course this happened months ago when I wasn't home, and nobody made me aware of it until now. The cable guy just had to come in and plug the cable back in... EDIT: Dat ice sword animation... -

4 Fate counters on traps along with three of the same trap at a time sounds super broken, they REALLY want us to go for the fate kill lol. I wonder what the C trap untechable time is like. Is it so short that we can't even connect a 5C on non-CH? There must be some way to confirm back into oki, otherwise trap oki will still be worthless. The new bullet pattern stuff with EX roll sounds interesting. Wonder what kind of stylish combo video material we can get with it and the new 6D bullet. 5D not autocorrecting is saddening. Also more recovery on air EX trap is sad; sounds like no more EX trap fastfall shenanigans. The Mudoon being air-unblockable is pretty lulz, and it is nice that they gave it back the bonus proration so it can still be used in combos. Overall, things are looking a lot better than the first loketest, but this sounds like the "for shits and giggles" loketest so far.
