You can do it that way if you're doing it from a normal such as 5a or 5b. By itself such as on wake up you can do 2d first and then 9d, and she will still be low enough for the ja.

Rib cage is sooo good. I just came here to say that. It balanced though. But damn it's amazing for this character.

Get used to the recovery frames of 236a. Do 236a and hold 6 or 4 to get used to it. She will begin walking immediately after the last recovery frame of 236a. youre doing this so that you can learn the buffer timing of the micro dash 663c. You input 66 within 5 frames of a move ending, and the character dashes the first frame they can. That's 5/60th of a second.

Most of her neutral game carries over with subtle differences and a new tool. Pressure should be mostly the same. Combos and oki are the only thing that got really noticeable changes. Combos look easier, Oki without using resources in the corner much better. Strength wise she still looks solid.

Who are you doing the combo on? Certain characters that combo route doesn't work on or needs to be adjusted. This won't work in bang and hakumen's case and very inconsistent on azrael. on let's say Ragna, 236a should be done immediately or slightly delayed. The lobelia has to hit the foe at its max horizontal range (a little after it starts descending), giving time to dash 3c.

So... ivy blossom. Its use has become more apparent these past few weeks. Corner combos involving ivy really hurt. 600 damage per ivy+up wind gives very reliable 3.5k and upwards of 4.5k with the good starters. Most corner combos with ivy loop and 50 heat for BBL add 1200 unprorated damage to a combo. Seems very good when the foe is low on life in neutral. It doesnt have great synergy with her combos outside of the loop, and seems insignificant if pretty much all the bats do not hit the foe in 1 wind - seems hard to do without a setup. My verdict is that it is very good combo fodder. Very late game it becomes threatening with wind, otherwise stick with lotus bats to threaten the foe . -
Yes depending on the last element used, she will gain that element damage buff for a short time. Green aura surrounds her for wind buff for example. (Automatically gains a buff in OD) thats another thing, buffs don't seem entirely fixed-time based, at least to me. Sometimes it seems to last longer than others, usually it seems to last longer when she's actually attacking, but that could be the constant hitstop. Making Can anyone confirm how long the buffs last?

The damage buff from the dp doesn't appear to be outstanding. Sometimes it looks like she does the same amount of damage from the same combo involving the buff.

Strong? Absolutely. But it still has weankesses. Always having a spell stocked isn't entirely consistent. It's a little easier than terumi getting 50 heat but the idea is the same. No attacking/poor rune management, lose your dp. Nine just has it better because her neutral game is good. and there's still the fact of not having it being severely punishing for her. People like valk and Carl of whom it is very hard to hit, or kune if he gets that one good hit, for example, will wreck her easily.

Yes and no. There's round start always. There's casting a spell, yes. There is whiffing the dp/getting it back and not gaining momentum back. Using sea moss gate without a spell stocked, and losing momentum. without the dp nine has a very hard time getting out. Her dashes are unorthodox enough to be pseudo-gimmicky escapes, and her ea of course and dp super.

236a with wind maybe? Sounds like the only thing that will work honestly. Get her scared of it and then sunmon. Or get a lotus bat on her and work from there.

Tsubaki's motif is being blind, and, She's supposed to be contradictory. A smart girl making dumb decisions, an avid believer in truth and justice and God and yet doing nothing but evil things, because her beliefs are skewed just like her eyesight. Whatever team she is on is likely to have bad guys, and she's so easily influenced. it would be sad if she wasn't so naive from the very beginning; instead it's just... Dumb. This character does not know where she is going and yet keeps trying to do things her own way. Someone just tase her and lock her up already lol.

well hazama/terumi does have that poison ability plus a venomous snake motif, it wouldn's be too far-fetched if he were Pestilence.

Nine looks scary as shit lol even in neutral after she starts getting spells. With her high jump and tricky teleports I'm not sure how hard it will be in the future to keep advantage against nine in neutral past the first encounter of each round. Spells that worry me in neutral are pure wind spell (very fast fullscreen wind beam), the projectile reflecting mirror, guard point goat head (meh?), maybe the big kunzite Rock in midrange. She also has the non-spell, tracking God-hand. I'm definitely thinking 5-5 now with the potential to get worse but we will see. outside of his decent pressure hibiki looks quite easy to fight. He needs to spends extra resources just to make that tracking supers safe so it's a huge gamble without (though against rachel the super should generally be useful). Neutral seems very meh, wasn't he supposed to be fast? She looks to keep him out very well, clones are slow enough and limited in space control, and he's only average speed: 236xd alone should be pretty good in this fight -
Nine must have a plan sending these people here, I mean, she's basically selling everyone a dream which takes effort I'm sure of which has a reason behind it. maybe once everyone gathers to izanami's location they will hold hands and sing Kumbaya defeating her with the power of friendship.

Don't forget to take breaks and do something productive and/or fun. Cool off, then come back to it with a gameplan! It would also help if you focused on game at a time. This way you can better hone your skills, knowledge of the system mechanics and the characters. For BB or GG, we have character subforums and you can go in and ask any character-related question you wish. There's the wiki for system mechanics. Combo wise, this is ok. But spells might have to be mentioned individually, and that's where the different elements will have to be referred to.

Lotus oki is basically pumpkin oki, just takes getting used to. We should be seeing the same setups once N-O adapts even more.
