I remember somebody mentioning that the changes were so small that it actually didn't make him very different. I doubt that he'll be broken (and hope so). But 5D not having a follow-up is pretty ridiculous if you ask me. Basically, it can be an anti-air and a long-range poke without follow-up, a one-hit thing? Other characters have better long-range pokes than Jin does (Tsubaki's 5B, Ragna's 5B and 5C, etc.) and they usually lead to combos. I don't know, I think that I'd rather have a quicker j.B as it is much more versatile (even if I barely use it thanks to my bad timing estimation).

I'd like to know how you people get to do: Blockstring > jump cancel instant airdash > j.B crossup. Anybody mind telling me what blockstring should that be? I usually go for 2A > 5B > 2B > 5C > JC IAD > j.B but seem to miss that one hit all the freaking time (and get punished for it)?

It obviously is the balance patch. I seriously wouldn't see the purpose of CSII balance changes if they're going to independently make different ones for the console version anyway, haha. Well, somebody's mentioned that j.C x2 > j.C x5 didn't work since you wouldn't drop down enough. It would be something more like j.B > j.C x2 > JC > j.C x5. But what I'm trying to think of is how to follow up 214D-B. I don't really mind having to change 214D-C to 214D-B for his BnB, but it does seem like his range will have shortened even more, don't you agree? He's too good as he is now but the thing that I really fear is now how bad he could get but what direction are they taking him to. I don't want him to completely change either :/.

Probably less than C tier if they keep him like that, as he can't do complete combos and his sweep pretty much is not a sweep anymore.

Gauge not replenishing on block is retarded. Random Ds to > 236C seems like it won't be worth it at all and using chains to get out of pressure also. So, hum, 3C knocking upward? I'm not sure I get it. It's supposed to knockdown a damn sweep and it knocks upward? Does that mean that we won't be able to follow up 3C to 236D-C from afar anymore? And j.C not JC'able is tremendously stupid, what will he rack damage with now?

Asking for so much, yet so happy with this I'm glad we've got 5C > 5D . Mid-screen damage increase ftw! I personally think that we need 5D to be special cancellable, you'd see the return of 5D > IceCar spammers.

I agree with you on that one. But making his execution harder won't make him any less good. Slowing down his drives is reasonable (unless it becomes turtle-slow). But downing 5B's hitstun is pretty retarded in my opinion. Out of everything, they chose this? Making close-range hit confirming harder? Like, are you serious? Couldn't they think of something else? I don't know, it just feels like they're testing out very random fixes.

I doubt that 5C > 2C > 5C will be possible considering the fact that gatlings usually don't allow you to repeat the same move twice. I don't see how 2C > 5C is the change he needs though. Everybody's pretty much agreed on a longer 5C or better 5D. I don't see why ArcSys, out of all the complaints, chose to add this. That would be so retarded good, haha. I don't see it happening at all.

We don't want that, only scrubby Jins want it. Ice waggle was wack and I felt bad about landing blackbeat combos. Plus ice resets are much more effective now. What I'd want to see is his lolhitboxes being fixed. Especially 5C, 2D, j.2C and 2A.

Ragna could 5b > 6a and nobody complained about it. He still will be able to 5b > 5c > 5d > dash cancel > 5c > JC > j.C > JC > j.C > Belial Edge and nobody will complain about it. I'm not sure to get it... Is it because Jin can actually add in-between a 214D to continue his combo that it's considered so good? I mean, at max range, lots of characters can lead to their air combo with their best pokes while Jin cannot, he needs CH or the opponent to be crouching. Meaning that we go for 5B > 2B > 3C or 5B > 5C > 3C (or depending on which one we usually choose to do.) I'm not bitching but actually making comparison to understand better. Sorry if it sounds like I'm complaining, I'm by no means a pro and simply want to clearly get the whole picture. Do you believe that they'll tweak with his hitboxes a little? 5C's cape hitbox is ridiculously ridiculous. EDIT: Forget what I've said, I've been watching videos after videos and finally understand the whole 5C>6C being broken business.

I'll try to keep this post updated 9/9/2010: -2C>5C gattling added (cannot re-input 2C) -B musou knocks down again 10/9/2010 - 5D much faster, comboable from 5C. Freeze time of 5D shortened dramatically. can't combo off it at all - Sekkajin pushback on hit has been reduced to very little. much easier to get all 8 hits from it - 3rd hit of forward throw prorates better (more damaging combos from it) - 2C slightly faster http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFRTlj2fhoE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FMhLlalZZI 10/16/2010 + 5C air unblockable (barrier guard works). - 3C techable now. Can still do 3C > 214B. 3C > 623B works too - 6A forces crouch, can't special cancel. ( ≖‿≖) - 5D slower, freeze still as short. + 5B > 6A gatling added. Of course, it doesn't combo. + 2B > 5B gatling added. + 6A can't be punished (unless you IB). Will combo into 5C on CH. + 623C has more untech time, unairtechable from a ground hit. on CH you can dash in 5C + Less proration on forward throw's third hit. - 5C has less range, but doesn't really matter except for those character specific combos - 2D is slower. Still faster than it was in CT, j.C(counter)>2D is little bit harder now - More proration on back throw. - 2C back to CS1 speed Changes on final loketest (11/15/2010): +2C>5C gatling, easy to confirm for fatal , can't do the 2nd 2C +sekkajin knockback decreases a lot +b musou knockdowns, even the air version +6A still can't be punished normally. Quick and random question: Did j.B's hitstun get lowered? And even though it was written that j.2C did not get any changes, I'm under the impression that it comes out more slowly. Is is simply because of my input?

You've got to press A as soon as the 1st 6D hits the opponent. You simply need to get used to it, it didn't take me too long.

It takes me a while before being able to join a PLAYER match, CS online really is shitty. I've played with an online friend who I used to beat all the time on BBCT and he kicked my ass 4 times out of 6. I played like crap thanks to the lag and I won like a scrub thanks to the lag. Really, it just takes the whole fun out of it. Anyway, on topic... I usually don't really mind losing but when I can see a pattern and just can't, for the love of blazblue, counter it thanks to bad BB skills, it does piss me off. I like learning and overcoming stuff but some scrubs just have it easy with Ragna, Litchi and Bang. I usually just try to stay as relaxed as possible as being stressed just frustrates me even more and think of it as a puzzle. "He beat me, why? "He successfully hit me, why?" "I won, how?"

I'd like to know. Is there any sort of Tutorial video for Jin? I've seen a few for Ragna, Hazama and etc. Is there anybody that's planning on teaching Jin basics on a video? I don't know why but it's just more effective to be able to see it than imagine it for me and I'm pretty sure lots of other people.

Its timing is very strict, you'll have to practice. Just go on challenge mode, I think it's the 8th or 9th one. I see pros messing it up even now.

I'm honestly even more confused now. Stunedge's " == " meant that Hiroshi and Tetsu weren't the same people, right? He said Tetsu's changed to Tetsuo. Then you said he was right. And now you're saying that Tetsu's the same person as Hiroshi. I don't get it anymore @_@

I heard that Hiroshi is actually Tetsu. Anybody could confirm this? I'd love to watch the videos but I can't find myself when I go on nico. If anybody could help me out on that matter, I'd appreciate it.
