  1. Originally these motivational posters in real life are posters which have that similar format (pic, black border, huge colored letters and a phrase at the bottom). The phrases in the actual posters are like Discipline...blahh blah blah and shows a pic of err something to do with discipline. The internet has modified these posters for different purposes you see. Head to 4chan. Speaking of that maybe we can ask some artists here to help create a promotional GG poster or brochure to promote GG in Sg.
  2. Hmm what are her level 2 and 3 normals? If you're wondering level 2 moves are moves which leave 14 frames of blockstun while level 3 is around 28 (I have to relook the term). EAasier way to put what does she have to inflict huge blockstun?

  4. I saw the Millia CV fugitive. Lol I wonder if it's really essential to FRC 2x (H Disc->6K FRC->Iron Saviour FRC) for a good mixup game.

  7. I agree with Red Beard with many points here. For level 1 and 2 he doesn't have anything much in midscreen. He only can deliver real damage when he corners the opponent with his wallbounce combos or lands CHs. Order Sol has a good mixup game (he has 3 overheads including 5D) and he also totally benefits from getting CHs as CHs are the only ways he can do real good damage (like untechable GBlaze, increased hit stun for 2S, to name a few) which isn't just a wallbounce combo imo. His ODs are good like Savage Fang especially at level2. His pressure game is one of his better points also. His shitty range is what makes him fun to play as though it's a little too retarded at the moment as Red said jump ins don't have a guaranteed ground follow up. His damage proration is what really makes him pretty 'weak.' I think unrefined is a better word to describe Slash HO Sol, he is a new character after all with a unique playstyle. His AC changes like longer 2D and such are essential to give him a boost. The meter should decrease faster than the speed it is currently at or else his lockdown ability will be sick. I'm talking about lets say when the bar is completely full, it should decrease at a rate where only 3 or 2 BhBs can be done before it reaches level 2. Besides his more flexible meter system will make him a strategic character to use. Psst quite a number of people here resent Order Sol for his gimmicky gameplay thinking he is a joke of a character. :blue:
  8. So SV along with AC are safer now. No wonder that May doesn't really want to punish the whiffed ones.
  9. I should have known who was the one being hit by that combo. Amazing how the loss of a loop can tremendously change a character's playstyle (Millia) though it's better since you're learning how to use the character more indepth instead of getting easy damage like that.. Back to topic.. nothing much else to say but I'm sure there is lots of room for change but at least we know what he could be capable of. His meter should decrease faster it decreases really slowly in the vids so far. Level 3-2 BhB is his main asset in lockdown isn't it? Are his SV, and Rock It at lvl3 actually good moves when used stand alone other than for damage? Anyway it's still beta and changes will still take place though I don't want a big nerf to his Slash self.
  10. Regular Sol is shown to be broken now (see the Sol vs Millia vid his combo is sick) but if you see the most recent vid which has May vs Order Sol that FB move appears to be very useful. The May player got hit by it twice 2 out of 2 attempts. First one is a counter hit, while the 2nd one is caused by the May player trying to rush into HO Sol. HIs new far S has nice range and may serve as a decent anti air. Does his damage still prorate very badly? I can't see clearly in those vids but this factor alone can determine whether Order Sol will be broke or not. A jP,P,S,jc,HS,lvl2SV (7hits) doesn't appear to do so much damage as it didn't finish off May's remaining 25-30% life.

  12. Very stupid question. When the match starts do you aim for the first hit (like IAD jK what ever) or is it better to move around and find openings to land a good CH on. Is it good to 214+K while anticipating a poke as the opponent's first move? The thing about me using Millia is I can maintain my momentum when I manage to knockdown and oki followup. The problem with my Millia is what to do if the opponent is standing and active.
  13. So 5D's like the ones you have stated above are useful to add to the pressure game? Won't some people be able to see it on reaction?

  15. Guard Point is the point in Anji's moves where he autoguards while doing the move. 6HS is a clear example of a move with tons of Guard Points.

How far can you get with some characters like Sol if you capitalize every hits with simple BnB (as simple as lets say at the corner 6P, wallbounce, 5S,5HS,2HS,jc 5S, 5D,jc 5S, 5D, VV) but you're proficient with your setups, space control and whatsoever. I ask about Sol because I want to provide an example of well rounded character like Ky and that sort. Other than setting up for Dust. When do you actually throw out 5D?

  19. You can't ask people to translate for you just like that properly as it needs some skills, time and work. Scanning some pages off an artbook is less strenous. Maybe if you pay him he will translate for you? :grin: You're asking him to do work similar to that of anime fansubbers. They don't work like 'Hey you please sub this series for us,' instead they work the series they like to pick out of their interest and desire to the community. Why not ask orka to help you? He is more interested in translating stuff. Besides the changes may differ in the final product. Edit:= I don't think orka wants to translate anymore.
  20. They're trying to make her less of a looper and more of the mixup, crossover and pressure queen she once was again. Will BackSlash and Throw Break system get in her way? We will see. BTw even though I've been following the GG series since 1 (ok I thought you can gatling away and be fine but now I'm interested in comp playing ), how does GGX Millia's disc differ from GGXX?

  22. I thought TK is Joe Higashi's as in Fatal Fury 1 and Fatal Fury 2 he uses 2369+B or D to use it.
  23. Maybe in the console but it isn't recommended if you play in the arcade. Since macros are nonexistant.
  24. I can't imagine how many times I wanted to IAD only to super jump but sticks are a godsend to TKs. Using Millia like that is like driving Ferarri with no brakes. Master it and it'll be fine though I wouldn't want to drive Ferrari with no brakes.
  25. I thought it would be cheaper since you're buying parts or something... Come to think of it when you said custom I thought you mean, buy parts, see instructions on how to assemble and profit with a stick to your liking.
