  1. It's more of an anticipatory thing and it works well in situations when you know the FB ball will come. On the other hand against Slayer's aerial shit like jK and jH. It's worthwhile to jump and stick out jDs and jKs provided you managed to get enough space to jump away or back iad semi safely.
  2. Doesn't roll work as well as 5D against Jam's FB ball? An anticipatory roll under the FB ball can also net in some 5K punishment.
  3. Some Meifang vids are really inspirational. Aerial fireball is indeed Millia's hairpin just get that jC near the corner and you're set to take >50% life off if your execution is up to par. Let's see how other characters make use of the long untechable time though.:8/:
  4. Motion inputs aren't too much of a problem to be honest but the tapping ones might take some time to get used to but in the end it's way more lax than GG in buffering lol.
  5. Relax your inputs especially for IAD cancel it really feels more like a pace of 956 than a 96.
  6. More people should play Meifang. :V Show em he power of jC looping or just silly 6D iad jC combos+fire super.
  7. These guys are around his level no sweat about it. WOshige vs Nakamura was one of my biggest anticipations regarding the 23v23 but at least that's made up with other wins. Was it good spacing+footsie done by Maruken which took Woshige down?

  9. Last session was fun. Combos were flowing nicely, the IAD cancel timing is so lax compared to stuff in GG eg OS 5H CH iad followups. Stuff like if you start the bnb from 2B's max range at best you have to fireball super after the 236B so to ensure you can get a decent aerial followup to knockdown as iad jC 5A 5C will whiff sort of thing. Sucks that 5B 5C doesnt allow that iad JC in at all. D: Now I need more experience against various Arcanas esp stuff like lightning pressure or water armor. Besides is Meifang a real rushdown character like Heart? She has a sick 2A despite the lack of range and it leads to her already powerful bnb. It seems vids of her show some footsieing and alot of whiff baiting. This game is fun though.
  10. Question what about ending a blockstring with H disc against shorter ranged characters like Sol or Slayer? I see some players use it. I assume it's to force the opponent to undergo block animation so they cant move back? I also see it can stop mappas when its fully set.
  11. 5K is a good blockstring starter since it's long and hits fast. If youre closer stand alone 2P and 2K are also good blockstring starters because of being really fast and gives you some advantage on block especially 2P which also makes it ideal for ticking. Here are some strings (Millia trio be sure to correct me) 5K/2K 2K (number of times will determine the space due to push back) 5K/2K 6K 5K/2K 6K block 214 K (tick throw also) Mix and match the above 2 strings for a high low game 5K/2K 5S 5H (gives alot of push back to open yourself/ possible to end with H disc so that characters like Sol, OS and Slayer will be less able to rush in safely) 5K/2K 5S 5H 214 K (tick or close space) 5K/2K 5S 2S 5P (same but 5P eliminates recovery of the unsafe 2S/ follow up with 6H possible) 5S/2K 5H (poke blockstring) 5K/2K 5S 2H TK bad moon/ IAD jP (overhead but be sure to FRC the badmoon or else itll get punished) or 2D (nice smacking low if youve conditioned them to block high) If you think you're up to it if your blockstring ends with a cancellable normal you can use S disc FRC to make it super safe which opens up lots of manueverability options while also being a good pressure tool.

When something is 'safe' as in +/- frames on block is it truly a wise decision to use a fast normal to continue pressure hoping that you'll outbeat an incoming poke or youre better off trying to adjust your space and react to what the opponent will do. Example OS 5S 214D on block (it hits at the middle of the sword so the knockback wont be too far) then I proceed to do a dash in 5K assuming the guy who is blocking is gonna counterpoke. 5K block press on with another 5K for the out beating purpose? follow up with 5P or 2P to cater them to block, get + frames (assuming no IB) and possibly set a tick? Back off abit if you anticipate a dp while backing up with lvl1 rock it if they dont? This is getting character specific and I see it as a spacing issue which determines the following course of action.
  16. Super robot super is like the most awesome super to take on Saki's flashkick super D:. I assume she can still do 5050 mixups off 214C w/massive clash frames, 6B airunblockable and jcable for an aerial combo on hit making it a deadly aa while having longer ranged normals? Hopefully her bnb is still the same. Anybody got a notation for it? I cant find where the IAD jC should kick in. Otherwise Ill have to use 2 HCs to get the same damage 2A 2B 2C 236B 236B 6D 5B 5C 6D 5B 5C 236B 236B 632146D <aerial> it's a watered down variation lol . Not too sure whether fireball super to setup a charged normal is specific to her or its a general trick.
  17. I'm curious how does Meifang fare in AHF? I don't see kubo vids in that and alot of AHF Meifangs love to TK 1236 alot.

  24. His Millia isn't there compared to Naoki's or Shinbi's at the very least. He lost his #R Millia edge but it was casuals in those moments his Millia vids were put up.
  25. I like this game. Yeah prefer it over MB in the arcade 'doujin' fighter lineup. Too bad I can only do a watered down version of Kubo's 65% bnb dunno where the IAD jC part comes in so I have to use 2 HC bars for the same damage.
