  1. Tell him to upload the match of my beating you. Or have him just send it to me.
  2. I've never seen CPU Johnny do anything above 15hits, but then again I don't fight the CPU much at all. In any case, make sure you are teching correctly. copy&paste: Like Chomite mentioned, if you ever see the beat counter go black, that means you missed an opportunity to escape the combo.
  3. If you're fast enough to do it as 66321469HS, or 66412369HS, then go for it. Just so that we are clear on what this should look like, it's mid hop Johnny busts these moves out. Not: hop, finish hop, do move.
  4. And yet all he's doing is making them bounce off the wall, back to himself!
  5. ah, yes, I knew I forgot something
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvU1qo-TAEc a couple of oddities
  7. shift+back slash
  8. Is he even taking request, or are we all just trying to sway his interest?
  9. +1 Millia
  10. When you are able to tech, you can tech: Forward Tech; 6+Any button, but Dust Backward Tech; 4+Any button, but Dust Neutral Tech; Any button, but Dust You are able to For/Backward Tech before you are able to Neutral Tech.
  11. Dr. Paradigm got his PhD from the Backyard?
  12. the combo meter isn't like tekken or anything. it'll tell you when you did a combo or not. when the beat goes turns black, that means that it wasn't really a combo and they could of air teched out.
  13. Johnny-Sol: 5-5, in Johnny's favor.

    AC: Combo Guide

If you get an air CH with HS, you can Mist Cancel and pretty much do whatever you want. CH HS>Coin, dash, K-2D>Mist On 1.10 weight chars only. Or maybe only May, haven't gotten a chance to experiment further. CH 2D(1)>MC3, 6HS... CH f.S/HS>MC2, 6K... On air CH f.S>MC, f.S... CH HS>MC3, tk.Ensenga CH HS>MC, HS... CH HS>MC2, dash, HS... CH 2D(1)>MC, K-HS... CH 6HS>iad.K... CH 6P>MC, dash, K-HS... CH HS>LMF1 CH D, KJT, ... CH D, DBT, ... CH D, dash, dash, ... CH c.S>MC, K... Off the top of my head. I made a chart to figure out these kind of things. MSY having released, not one but, two awesome Mist Cancelin combo vids have made my efforts to make an awesome Mist Cancelin combo vid moot. The only thing, now, keeping me from posting the chart is it's readability. I think it's just fine, but then again I made it. If you wanna see it raw I can post it up.
  15. I would assume they are vulnerable as soon as the active frames end. But maybe we don't want to assume?
  16. eddie on slayer? Unbrowckables?
  17. i would assume so lol, Johnny's pokes so bad, he's not even considered in the poke rankings.
  18. whatever>236[P]~[HS]66646, ]P+HS[ is how I do a MC followed by two dashes. FD dashing isn't something I use a lot, so there may be a more optimized way of doing this. I might have more 6's then I need, but the motion is easy enough, and most importantly, consistent for me to do. whatever>236[P]~[HS]66{46}xN, ]P+HS[ ; is what I do when I don't care about my FD dashin being nice and pretty. I just stop mashing 46 when I see the number of dashes I want.
  19. looks like the r. is saying to do a running slash. it doesn't specify if it's close or far slash though, but it probably close slash. and yeah, the vertical lines seems to indicate some sort of pause.
  20. make their guard gauge blinkin
  21. Being able to dash back in after a Mist Cancel has a lot to do with distance or intimidation. In the same way that a Sol player could VV every little thing someone does, but yet it never happens. After a Mist cancel, a Sol could potentially hit your dash every single time, using any number of moves. But this doesn't happen. Why? Because you are not predictable. You don't dash after every single Mist Cancel. What if I throw out a K? The Sol player would get CH'ed if he was trying to hit my dash. What if Sol reversal VV's my K? Well what if I just block for a bit before trying anything? Perhaps it would help your understanding if you think of Mist Cancel as a baiting tool, rather then a pressure tool. It's true, Johnny's pressure is full of holes. Unlike, say, Venom or ABA, Johnny isn't built for tight pressure. Johnny is built more for baiting and punishing mistakes. After a Mist Cancel, Johnny has frame advantage and is in a neutral state. If you look at it from your opponent's perspective: After a Mist Cancel, I'm stuck in block stun and Johnny is ready for anything. You have all your options available to you and your oponnent's options are limited. Mist Canceling produces an advantageous situation for you, but it doesn't give you so much advatage that you can just freely rushdown. It's just enough that your opponent isn't quite sure if what he's about to do is the right thing to do, if your opponent does anything at all. Anyways, you can dash after a MC because you are either too far away for them to do anything about it or they were expect you to do something else.
  22. I've tried asking this same question, before. He said, "No."
  23. 2[K]~S or whatever other button you want to use. To FD, you don't actually need to hit both buttons at the exact same time. This goes for other two button combination moves, like Burst. The game will allow you about 1 or 2 frame leeway to hit the other button. During this leeway, the move, in this case j.2K, still starts up. Basically, built into all normals, except Dust, is the ability to cancel into FD on the first couple of frames. Oh and HardSlash too, they took away the ability to FD out of HS's to prevent OptionSelecting between a FD and a Throw.
