  1. In the right situation, I would do Fatal 2C > 6C > delayed 623B > 6C > 6D > 6C > 6D > 623D > 6C > 6D > 623D > 6C > 214C or Ice Arrow. This is the strongest variation I've used so far (about 6200 damage with Ice arrow), but it requires you to be not too close to the corner (and not too far either). In more common situations, I would do 6C > 6D > 6B > 623B > 6C > 6D > 623D > 6C > 214C or Ice arrow. Usually does around 4k.
  2. Yup, J.2C > 214C is the Allecan. If 214C is coming out, you're either too high or you inputted 214C too slowly. Are you bouncing up? Or do you drop a bit and then do Allegretto? Try being a bit closer to the ground before doing J.2C.
  3. No...where's Miyuki Sawashiro? We still haven't got her on the show yet... And, does anyone here know how to read Kanji? I want to know what Junichi Suwabe keeps saying (the one where it shows Relius with his head slightly back, like at the end of that Tsubaki...diary thing). First part is "daga"...can't read the second part... Lastly, lol at OVERSTRIPE!
  4. Just be careful with J.C though, because it's vertical range is horrible.
  5. Oh...well, in the air, it's J.B or J.C > (J.2C) > Jump Cancel > J.2C > (J.D) > Musou. Again, brackets denote optional moves. If you've already frozen the opponent prior to doing the air combo, leave J.D out. In the same case, since you can't freeze the opponent anymore, it might be wise to do only J.C > Jump cancel > J.2C > Musou. This is only if you didn't super jump cancel (and also if you're too far into a combo). Otherwise, feel free to add in an extra J.2C before the jump cancel. Hope this wasn't too confusing. Also, if you just started CS Jin, learn how to jump and then do J.2C. It's weird because you have to press 8 (or 7 or 9) and then go back down to 2 again, but it'll be useful to be able to do that easily.
  6. For very simple, non-launcher combos, it's basically 5B > (2B) > 5C > (2C) > (3C) > B or D Musou. Brackets mean optional moves. Although I'm pretty sure 3C > 214D whiffs due to the increased speed of 214D as opposed to 214B. Also, 3C > Any musou whiffs on Carl. And I wouldn't recommend linking into 623C, it would be much better to link into 623B so you can start Jin's corner combo (if near corner of course). 623C has crap proration, and you can only follow it up if you get counter hit using it (or you rapid but that would be a big waste of 50 heat).
  7. As for when Volante comes out, I usually hit 4C (since Carl has no 4C, 5C comes out) and then very quickly do 21]D[. Nirvana should be starting her Volante animation right before 5C hits. This works all the time for me as long as the opponent isn't too high. I'm not too sure if my method is correct though. I just watched that Carl combo vid and watched when Nirvana started moving, and timed my stuff accordingly. Although I still haven't been able to get the Allecan > Volante stuff yet. As for 4D stuff, I do J.2C > 214C]D[ (simultaneously press C and release D) > J.B. I find that if you insert a 5C in there, the opponent goes too high for 4D.
  8. I release D while pressing C at the same time. Works every time. J.2C should come out the same time as 2D. Edit: I meant that 2D should start at the same time J.2C does. Not 2D and J.2C hit at the same time.

  11. Wait, 3C > 236D doesn't work on everyone? As in, the ice sword will just fly over their bodies? That means we'll have to resort to stuff like 6C > 236D or something...

  13. TCSyd, if you want real results, you have to try it on a human. Stuff like crossups only apply to humans. I know what you're trying to do, but trust me, it's just better to fight a real opponent and see for yourself. As long as you have the actual crossup ready to use, in training mode it doesn't matter whether the dummy blocks it or not.
  14. If you are spamming J.C, make sure to not be too close, or else Ara's 5C (the lick) will fatal you. Happens a lot to me. Also, Arakune's backdash is annoying because it screws up your blockstrings/pressure.

  16. So, I'm trying to put in Volante in my combos...but it seems hard to connect. Do you do Volante after a 5C or before it? As in, 5C > 421D > Volante hits or is it 421D > 5C > Volante hits? And also, besides 5C, is there any other way to connect a Volante into a combo?

  18. 3C > 236C is used to make sure the opponent doesn't roll forward to get out of the corner. It's not too good to use 3C > 236C mid-screen unless you want to force them to roll back. Since, in the corner, they can't roll or quick tech, they forced to either neutral tech and block, or do a late tech. Late tech can be easily punished with Jin's 2B, just pickup and do an air combo. As for neutral tech, they can either block, or do a reversal (Ragna inferno divider, Hakumen's drives, etc.). If they block, do your pressure and mixup to try and score another combo on the opponent.
  19. Volante doesn't help too much. I guess it could keep Hakumen busy on the ground if he chooses to stay on the ground (and slash the ball to make his...own ball) Hakumen's reach makes it really hard for Carl to get in. Plus the fact that Haku can slash all projectiles to make his own ball and thus limit your mobility, makes Carl's projectile not too useful. I honestly have no clue how to get in on Hakumen.

  21. It's not possible to bring my A-game due to tournament proration. Hopefully the Friday level 2-3 tournament will make it better though.
  22. Pui and Hermes teaming up is pretty broken. And if the tourney turns to 3v3...hopefully Ken doesn't team with them, lol. That reminds me, I need teammates.
  23. Master Kou leveled down after EVO. Edit: Although at casuals he got some of his skills back... And usually, the one who wins Toronto tourneys is a certain former-mod...
