Oh wait, 6C is cancelable on block now? I couldn't care less if 6C>j.D stuff doesn't work anymore. That stuff was straight gimmicks and didn't work on people who had seen it before already. Being able to do 5B>6C>421A sounds amazing though. I thought the translation was no longer cancelable, so I thought the jump cancel was getting removed. I can't really be annoyed with any of Tsubaki's changes now. She's like exactly the same just with probably nerfed mugen damage, which I would have put money on SMP getting worse for her.

I also just don't bother with j.236A oki on a few character. Carl, Azrael, Tager, and Hakumen is pretty hard getting it to work (and on Azrael and Hakumen, they can just Growler/counter it) -

I want Tsubaki to have blackhole. Give her back unblockable 22D so she can have crappy blackhole. -
3933, 28 heat gained. Trying to do it without the 5A now. I'll edit this post if I get it. 3997 damage with the 5A omitted, still 28 heat gain Same combo off of 5B does 3683, 26 heat without 5A, 3624 25 heat with 5A

I noticed Konan did 5C>6C>command grab once in one of his matches. I figured it was a goofed j.214C. Turns out CH 5C>6C>j.214C>623C>delayed j.214A>5C>2CC>236C>5A>5C>2C>BBB works as a better corner punish

Did a tiny bit of testing on 6C>49C/D tonight. Going into the C version of the fireball frametraps 5 frame jabs. It doesn't on instant block. I still need to check on 6 frame jabs. D version is super gapless. Should be on IB as well. Both versions seem to hit on the first active frame, so you're -2 with the C fireball and -7 with the D fireball. -

If you're trying off of a raw DP, it's incredibly spacing specific. After 5CC though, you'll always be at the correct spacing for the DP to whiff if done as quickly as possible -

There's no "pretty much unreactable" about bursts now. They're just straight unreactable. They only have 6 frames of startup. -
2C>Blade Super also works. You have to do dash 2C if you don't IB, and the timing for that is pretty tight. CB>Blades>IAD combo nets like 3.6k Tsubaki's 3 options seem to be 1 charge: 5C>6B>22D>get hit>6C>combo and eat 589 damage, don't IB 50 meter: 2B CH>blades>6CC>combo stuff, way easier on IB 50 meter, 1 charge: 5C>6C>236236C>236D>IAD with air ender

Ivysaur and I found a way for Tsubaki to punish 214214A in the corner. 5C>6B>22D>get 3 hits from the fireball>dash 6C> into whatever. You take 589 from the 3 hits. You can't instant block or you'll take more hits from the fireball from the reduced pushback. 214214B takes too long to come down so you can do the same punish without taking the damage. Alternatively, if you don't want to take any damage, 5C>6C>236236C>236D>air ender works Punishing it midscreen, you can just do dash 5B/5C>6CC and you'll move forward enough to avoid it. You have to dash into it or you won't move out of the way in time.

We had almost 16 people last time, with higher attendance than both SF4 and Marvel. If you're around the area, please try to attend. If anyone wants to play Pokemon cards here too, I'm thinking of buying a starter deck this weekend while I'm there...lol. Also, here's the Facebook event link https://www.facebook.com/events/1385026241737824/?fref=ts

It's also really nice on characters where j.214A>5C>2C>BBB>5D>5C>2CC>j.236A works on. When I was initially goofing with it, I thought it just wasn't working on some characters (mostly female cast for some reason). Should probably go back and retest without delaying the DP on them. I can get it pretty consistently on Jin, Ragna, and Amane right now at least. It's not too terribly hard. I think the 236C>5A> part is harder once you know the timing.

[CP1.1] Tsubaki Yayoi General - Gameplay Discussion

J.C is definitely fuzziable now. You can also do 6A(blocked)>RC>j.C, although confirmed the person blocked 6A instead of eating it is kind of not doable. I guess you can just be painfully predictable in your mixups and get the person to start blocking 6A correctly a lot, but it's probably too much work. Also off of fuzzy j.C, you can do j.CC>j.214D in the corner on some characters. -
Man, 623C>delayed j.214A is such a weird combo. On everyone not named Amane, you have to delay inputting the 623C after your confirm so you'll be spaced far enough away so the j.214A can hit correctly. The damage off of it is really nice though with the 5C>2CC>236C>5A>5C>2C>BBB route, and you can do 5C>2CC>BBB>5C>2CC>j.236A on characters too. I need to go through and look for character specifics for both of those combos tomorrow. Getting both variations actually feels easier than 623C>j.214A(w) combos to me. Haven't been trying in matches though. I'm sure they're a bitch to do when you're in a real match

[CP] Tsubaki Yayoi Video Compilation (Updated 4/1/14)

Jin and Hakumen can't even escape her just ending a combo in 6B>Black Hole at the right spacing (which most of her combos can end her at that spacing). The only characters that get out for free without any resource spending are Azrael, and Tager (Growler and B Sledge) but those two characters will probably have the hardest time at neutral against her. Tsubaki can astral out of every setup, but that's it. Good luck having her health low enough to use astral in the first place~ -
Sounds like the disc is scratched to me.

63214C>RC>CT>6C>46D>236D doesn't work on Kokonoe =|
-
Everything else with any character specificness seems to work on her, which is odd seeing how everyone on Twitter was complaining about her hitbox being wacky. 6CC>214D will whiff if you do it too early though. The delay is a little awkward.
-
214D>2CC only doesn't work on Hazama, Jin, Terumi and Rachel.
-
I'm actually testing that now. Seems to be the same. Nevermind. 214D>2CC works on Noel, Kagura and Amane. Testing the cast that 6CC>214B>2CC works on now.
