[CP1.1] Tsubaki Yayoi General - Gameplay Discussion

j.236A will probably give Tager a ton of problems too, since he doesn't really have the mobility to maneuver around it, and his hitbox is so big, he'll probably have to deal with it even at super jump height. Tsubaki will be able to build charge pretty easily while Tager's stuck blocking or waiting for the fireball to get to a spot where he can try to super jump over. Sledge probably won't even be a problem too, since Tsubaki moves back a lot after j.236A so A sledge will never reach, and B sledge can be reacted to. -

The Tsubaki's name is Minomushi. Also, with the way the combo system works now, if you let the command grab get charge before RCing, you're adding a ton of time, and the command grab is already an M starter. You probably won't be able to get any more than you would off her new super, which is also an M starter. Plus you get 13 hits of 80 P2. Maybe RCing halfway through will have some uses. -

I would argue otherwise on Tsubaki vs Bang, although it looks a lot better in CP than in EX. Kuresu just needs to chill on DPs. Usually when he's getting bodied he's DPing every chance he gets. If Konan gets past round 1, he'll probably go really far. -

Just looking at matchups, Pikuri probably has the best chance of making it past the first round. -
They specifically said during the PS4 reveal presentation that it won't read PS3 games. I really doubt ArcSys will port the game over the PS4. Accent Core came out long after the PS3 came out in Japan and it took until 6 months ago to get a port to PS3. Also the game being on the PS4 wouldn't instantly mean solid online. If it was compatible with the PS3 version, then netplay would have to be exactly the same.

Winning with Tsubaki's easy though. Just keep doing things people have never seen before and you'll get 2 rounds easy. -

Tsubaki wasn't in CS1. I don't know what everyone's talking about. -

I think she clearly isn't. -
I think it needs the major tag in the Event Announcements forum and get at least 30 entrants.

[CP] News & Gameplay Discussion (Old)
TheGreatReptar replied to kosmos badgirl's topic in BlazBlue Gameplay
People have been going out to rural areas to snipe SBO qualifying spots for years. It's happening a lot less with ArcRevo since every gold ticket holder had to win a silver ticket first, which wasn't always the case with SBO qualifiers in some areas. Having a silver and gold ticket qualifying on separate days would mean having to travel across country twice for a gold ticket to snipe a spot, or figuring out how to stay in that area for a few days. ArcRevo qualifiers are probably much more representative of each area's actual scene than SBO was because of it, but as a result, some qualifiers probably had much lower overall skill than others. Tager thrives against middle skill players, hence more Tager qualifiers. You'd have to have some kind of brain damage to honestly believe Tager is somehow a stronger character than Hakumen, or Tsubaki is stronger than Mu. The number of ticket winners simply isn't indicative of any sort of relative tier placement. And really, Tager will probably never be S, just because of how many bad matchups he has. Arakune's been shitting out 10k+ damage off of unreactable mixups for almost 3 years, and he hasn't broken into S-tier again because he has so many hard counters. -

Or you know...there's just regions in Japan with much lower skill levels, which is where Tager will generally body people. Believe it or not, there are rural areas of Japan that don't have nearly as many good players as the major cities of Japan -

I was under the impression that linking 5B after 6A would allow your opponent to sneak in a jab for whatever reason. -

Oh hey, I started messing around with 6A oki again today, and I don't know why Eshi and I assumed 5B couldn't be used anymore, but it definitely still hits meaty enough to stop people from jumping out. The only character that has an option for 5B that doesn't work against 5C is Tager (360A), so I'm assuming that 5B hits on the 3rd from after they get up (360A is invul on the 3rd frame, 4th frame they'd be airborne). If 5B's hitting on the 3rd frame, I guess that means that 5C actually hits on the second active? Woops -

It's the same combo, but by adding the dive it works at any distance, plus it's flashy as fuck I recorded this too. Shoutouts to my Marvel case being in the shot because I'm a camera scrub and I'm too lazy to re-record it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmtesOpp3OQ
