  1. DBD was pretty useless in CT as well. You could throw out some gimmicks with it, but it was largely useless. Also, spending 100 meter just for it wasn't exactly worth it, especially in CT when Ragna's meter gain was nowhere near as good as it is now.
  2. Pretty sad since I probably sit on my fat ass more than you do.
  3. This is a good read, but the comments made on the blog also bring up some good counter arguments.
  4. Flip flops and gay high school mexistache sounds like a match made in heaven (in all seriousness let's keep all the trolling out of this thread). On topic: I haven't seen much of Valk, but from what I've seen, he seems like a solid character. Top tier? I don't see it yet. I'm not sure if I see A tier yet, but his combos seem to do quite a bit if you get the right starter (which isn't likely). He's looking pretty solid for a one week old character, so he can only improve as time goes on.
  5. I'm going to park on 10th street. It may be a good walk to the MQL or whatever it's called, but fuck paying for parking. Seems unnecessary to pay for parking when all I would need to do is walk for five minutes across campus.
  6. Chun, does the TV you're bringing have VGA or HDMI?
  7. Could always play ST on a laptop anyways.
  8. SH_ is still alive? I thought that nigga died.
  9. You need: 1) a laptop 2) a camera 3) the monitor you want to test 4) a video that counts fps 5) a crt monitor or tv First step: hook up your laptop to the CRT monitor and then take a picture using the camera. For best results, do it in a very well lit room at the highest shutter speed possible. From there, you can determine how many frames of lag your laptop has. Second step: hook your laptop to the monitor or TV you want to test. Do the same test you did earlier. Add results from your laptop to your monitor or TV to get your results. For example, my laptop has about one frame of lag, while my monitor, according to the time code test, is about one frame slow than my laptop. Adding the two together, my monitor has two frames of lag.
  10. Hrmmm... Sony... I have a Bravia too and I used to think it was pretty good... until I did a timecode test and found out it had almost 3 frames of lag.
  11. What kind of TV is it? I'll probably be bringing my laptop too so I can probably do a timecode test on it JUST TO BE SURE (although it needs to have HDMI or VGA input).
  12. I think you're going to be hard pressed to find any of us that have a "lagless" HDTV/monitor with component inputs. ;(
  13. Yes, you can FDC in the X versions of the characters in GGAC/AC+.
  14. It might depend on where you are on campus. Just look at the Google Map. You should be able to walk there from anywhere on the campus, but it may take a while depending on where you are. If you're on the eastern side of the campus, you're pretty close (although I don't think there are any dorms or apartments in that area). http://maps.google.com/maps?q=231+G+Street,+Davis,+CA+95616&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=231+G+St,+Davis,+CA+95616&gl=us&ei=DACgTKP_NIOosAO9pKDWAQ&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CBMQ8gEwAA This should be a better map. Not sure why the old one fucked up after I told it to search again.
  15. 231 G Street, Suite #4 Davis, CA 95616 530 758 2280 http://maps.google.com/maps?q=231+G+Street,+Suite+%234+Davis,+CA+95616+530+758+2280&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wl So it's pretty much on the corner of 3rd St and G St. It's in this little courtyard place so you gotta walk into the courtyard to find it. In otherwords, you can't really see it from the street.
  16. GOOD JOB GETTING BANNED FROM EVO Coopa goes to school in Davis. You should try to hit him up to play. His Tager is pretty good (but still free) and is a nice guy. He'd be able to help you out and give pointers if needed. You should come to the Drom's Comics tournament that should be happening within the next two weeks. Hey now, I call people out on their BS... like when some scrub thinks they know shit about Starcraft but don't.
  17. Something you can't unsee.
  18. Chun you suck. My eyes see all, even deleted posts! Is Rin bringing recording equipment? Do I need to bring my mic?
  19. I wasn't talking about you. You post, and we know who you are. I was mainly talking about people that know of DL's existence, know there's an area on the forums that you can reach out to other players near you, and are in Sac, but they choose to lurk instead of trying to find people to play. There are people that play, but I guess they're too scared to come out of their parents' basement or something. :/ It won't be very friendly when I show up!
  20. I think Coopa is planning some sort of small tournament at Drom's Comics in Davis pretty soon, so any Sac cats that post here can head out there to meet some of up and play.
  21. Sac/Davis scene is pretty random. Coopa and I are the only people that post regularly, and aside from us, there are random people that play but do not post on DL. Arvoyea and Soniti live in Sac State, so you may also want to hit them up. Other than that and like I said before, there are a few other random players that play but don't post on DL/lurk all the time. I wish people seek out competition more, but it's kind of hard to. For example, there's a handful of players that play BB at Sac State according to Soniti, but they only lurk DL and don't post. I wish those kinds of players would reach out to the NorCal community and get involved, but I guess they're just satisfied with playing with their small circle of friends.
  22. Everyone is pretty free for me except Dacid, Derek, and Jared. Speaking of which, are Derek and Jared coming? I haven't heard from them in forever.
