Well, assuming the best [universal] follow up you can do is 2A 5C 5D(1) after TK GH, the full combo does not work. Not sure why.
-
Tried to see if starters like TK GH and forward throw would work, but sadly the TK version does not work (they can tech out before the second hit of the last 5D connects). I don't remember if throw works, but I think it's just short of getting enough meter to YnK. This is assuming you start at 50 heat, of course. If anyone else has a good idea on how make this work off of those starters in CSEX, post up.

Even though there was only four of us, it was still fun. Decided to change it to casuals since a four man danisen doesn't really work. GGs everyone. -

I think people are coming haven't posted that they are. Hopefully we get a decent showing. I don't want to clean the house and buy sodas for nothing. I NEED AT LEAST ONE MORE POWER STRIP. IF YOU ARE COMING, TRY TO BRING ONE IF YOU HAVE A SPARE. -
Is Blazblue a good competitive fighting game in your opinion?
Spirit Juice replied to Dragonslayer9's topic in Archive
CT was ass but the fun kind of ass (if you didn't play Tager). CS1 was fun for a while but became ass after fighting Bang and Litchi for so long. CS2 is a huge improvement over CS1 and is definitely a legit, competitive game. There are several reasons why the game doesn't have as much competition as Capcom games, and I'll go over the reasons. There are several types of players; here are the ones that probably won't play BB. Not enough money involved (related to general popularity): I'll respect players wanting to play for money; it's a legit motivator and, unfortunately, ASW/AG are not Capcom and don't have tons of money to throw around. Not enough competition: popularity issue again. They don't like the way the game looks: I can respect this since art styles can deter me away from certain forms of media as well; not related to the game being ANIME. The game is ANIME: shitty reason; if people don't want to play the game for that reason alone, they're not worth talking to and are probably lacking brain cells. The community sometimes looks like a bunch of sad life otaku: I hate to say this, but it's true sometimes; shave your neckbeards, don't wear anime shirts/dress casually, take a shower, wear deodorant/anti-perspirant and don't smell like shit, stop being a socially awkward nerd, and don't play the game only because you like anime. Seriously, there's still this social stigma... and to be honest, some people in the community are either oblivious to it, don't care, or in denial. In any case, from what I can tell, most top players will play any game. Many of the players I know in NorCal that don't play BB actually like the game or are interested in playing it, but just don't because no one plays it. I'm doing my best to try to promote growth within the local community by trying to convince them to play the game or start playing the game again. The best thing you can do is try to convince other open minded players that the game is legit and actually pretty fun. -

[Nov 26 2011] Spirit Juice's Bi-Weekly Danisen! Elk Grove, CA
Spirit Juice posted a topic in Archive
Hey guys. Spirit Juice here. Every other Saturday I will be hosting BlazBlue danisen ranbats. Coming to a danisen should help you level up as a player, be it you're a vet or a new player... so you're 100% encouraged to come! Furthermore, it costs you nothing to show up and play! And yes, I copy pasted shit from Xie's danisen thread. Location 6418 Noble House Ct. Elk Grove, CA 95758 Time Saturday 6 PM - ??? PM (probably 10 or 11 PM; all depends on when I feel like shutting things down) If you're bringing a set up, you should probably swing by early. Stream: TBD REALLY IMPORTANT INFO What to bring Your sexy self, first and foremost. If you want to bring a set up (PS3 FORMAT), we definitely need them. I currently only have one set up, so bringing more is needed. A set up includes a monitor and PS3 (with appropriate cables of course), and preferably with all DLC unlocked. You can bring other games too but you probably won't play them. Controllers are allowed but I would prefer that they are wired controllers. If you have a wireless controller, I'll probably make fun of you a lot and tell you to buy a stick (probably an EightArc one). If you do not like dogs and/or cats or are allergic, I do not recommend you come. I currently have two cats and three dogs, so you have been warned. EVENT INFO What the fuck is a Danisen? Good question. The Danisen system is something that's gained popularity in fighting games over the years and is something they use to rank people outside of the standard ranbats. Basically, it's like playing for points. You fight your opponent as you normally would, and then you gain or lose points for winning or losing. There are associated levels and restrictions based on each level. Pretty simple. Dan System Starting out -Each time you win a match, you gain 1 point. Each time you lose a match, you lose 1 point. -Everyone begins at "Rank 1" ranking with zero points. -You cannot go below 0 points as a Rank 1 Leveling up -You can level up by reaching +3. Conversely, if you reach -3 in your ranking, you will level down. -Every time you level up or down, you start at +0 for that Rank. From there, you can once again move up or down as normally. -You can only play someone within 1 rank of yourself. For example, Rank 1 vs Rank 2 is fine, but not Rank 1 vs Rank 3. -If there are less than three people in the highest current level, you may not play at that level until there are at least three people. Try to focus on an alt if you make it to the very top. There are no special ranks at this time. Rank 4 will probably be the highest rank until I determine if higher ranks are needed. System Rules -Standard tournament rules, 2/3 rounds, 99 seconds -All characters are allowed, except the unlimited ones -In the interest of not wasting time, no Stylish Mode chracters -Each match you play is 1 point, it is NOT 2/3 matches per point -Winner stays after he wins, if he gets promoted, then he must get up. -Losers get up, if there is REALLY no one else to play, you can have a salty runback funback Station Rules The way the room is set up is something like this: -Each TV will have a level range assigned to it (Rank 1-2/Rank 2-3/Rank 3-4) -Line up on a TV within your correct range -When it is your turn, sit down and play your opponent -If you win, you must stay put. If you lose, you must line up on a DIFFERENT station in your range. This way, if you are capable of following directions, you will never play someone out of your range. If there are a lot of players in a particular range, we'll increase the number of setups for that range, but the same rules apply. Different Character Rules -You may play more than one character at the Danisen, each character will have their independent score own score. -You can even play a character in a vastly different way and have it count as in independent character (For example, Bobby can play on stick have have his score be independent) -You may play multiple characters per day. HOWEVER, if you choose a character, you may not choose another character until you level up or down with that character. The exception is if you are Rank 1 with 0 points, you may switch character whenever you want. Donation/Drink Jar If you guys want alcoholic drinks, feel free to put in money into the donation jar. That way, I can provide drinks for people. Drinks will likely be Coke/Sprite. I'd love to provide drinks every danisen, so please donate. Current Rankings TBD If you have any questions, let me know! -

My job is to ban people, not read up on events. -
If you think Kaqn isn't overrated you should probably stop playing BB. Stop being a Youtube monster.
