Under Night In-Birth, PS3 release confirmed (Jul 24, 2014)
Konflyk replied to Hecatom's topic in Under Night In Birth
All this PC talk made me realize you guys missed one of the biggest things, what is the problem with Current code if anyone knows? I'll go ahead and answer anyway, you have to exit the game to swap inputs/sticks/controllers, how is this going to work in a tournament setup if you have to exit the game everytime you need to change the device? It needs a console release, that or you'll have to deal with using someone elses stick, might as well cabinet that boy. -

Study more, learn about characters and what they have to put on the table, LK pretty much gave you the fighting game encyclopedia on how to play, learn to capitlize on opponent mistakes, learn what you have against what they have, practice your combos so you stop dropping them(no seriously do this, there are people worse than you that can manage to win just because they can combo). When you feel satisfied with your own ability to play your character at a level of worthy competitiveness, then you expand upon that and start playing other people, break old habits and build up your fortitude. I've played LK before, he bodied me, and believe me I learned some new shit that had turned my stale game around, I've played other players who have bodied me, and in turn I pay attention to what they're doing and learn to counter it, I didn't start beating Turn's bang until CS:E, or going toe to toe with people like Cry2Me, and that one Tao player from NY who trolls, it's all about practice, studying and applying it. So far though you were asking LK, I felt I'd chime in and say you have a lot to learn and a lot to forget. -

There's a difference between being bad on purpose(obvious trolling/sandbagging) and being bad, they just looked like your regular netplay players and nothing unique or special. -

Video 1/Left: 30 seconds of doing absolutely nothing, at least drop the staff and make it fly around the screen, the remaining 30 seconds of that round was you sitting in the corner, not using Tsubame against obvious overheads from too far away to be safe. Second round starting combo, make sure you practice that, you were fairly close to the wall and I'm sure you didn't need the 2nd Chun(you missed the TK either way). Never burst against Hazama when you know 6C is the next part of the combo, or you just give up, the all green from throw, wtf was that? Don't do that unless you need the kill, good all green at the end, but your pressure and punishes could be better, don't 6D as much as you do, try to not rely on straight-through although that Hazama was begging for it with each air dash, his own fault. Video2/Right: Started off doing right against the hakumen with your spacing, but you have to pay attention to the staff more and when he'll counter, also your love of all green is just weird to me, but w/e it worked. Second round, idk what to say, block, don't press buttons? Also the straight through at the start can get you killed, demonic leg will go through B version it'll go through all of your projectiles for that matter, excluding C version of Straight through, overall you did ok so it's really nothing to be upset about. Those two players play around your level so eh. -

I hate mirrors so I've probably never used my Litchi against you, I probably played Ragna, Jin, Hakumen, etc. Also if you're dropping the 13 O then that means you aren't doing it right because if people roll tech they're usually supposed to get caught, also make sure you know what characters to do which method on, 13 O works on almost everyone, with the exceptions of Tao/Tager/Noel(at times) Tager can 720, Tao can use beat you up and Noel can CA out of the attack. -
implying Puro didn't get his shit stomped, sorry but Shounen is just overall the better player. Also this is Shounen General.

First Video at 1:06 stop doing all that shit in the corner, it's not benefitting you, I do remember you used to do stuff like that last time I played you(months ago), get the combos down, don't panic and use proper oki/resets(THAT WORK). 2:02 punished by 2D he got hip to your strategy to punish someone running in, you have to remember barrier guard cancels can stop a dash out right and make someone safe, don't DP when someone is grounded running at you unless you see the move coming out. Don't use straight through against Bang it makes you immobile, bang can 3C, throw nails or take many alternative routes to safely get close to you and lock you down, focus more on having the staff keep him busy by flying around instead. You did alright in the first one, but you could have beat him out right, the bang player at best was average. The tager was just out right terrible, why even bother posting that one? Only mistake you made was using Daisharin when Tager was able to make any action he wanted as he didn't have to tech, you should learn how to drop the staff inbetween block strings to keep them tight, but beware that some of your normals don't stay + enough to guarentee anything safe and you can get 720'd at any given time 5B>5C(720) -
In the year 2012, our lord and savior Shounen defeated the fiend Ryuuto and took the team tournament in GG#7. Enough hype for you? Also this is Shounen General now.

Cold, raining, windy, nothing new, though it was pretty shitty was kind of mad that the power didn't go out at work or a window broke from the gusts, oh well.

Do what everyone else does and find openings to DP in blockstrings, then you can push for an offensive, just make sure you know who you're fighting against what their options are and what yours are. Also pay attention to player habits, some people love their DPs as their get away solution, some people will seldom use them because they often get punished or baited and are afraid. -

[CP] News & Gameplay Discussion (Old)
Konflyk replied to kosmos badgirl's topic in BlazBlue Gameplay
Just dual mod your stick, look up the "Kitty TE-S mod" on SRK, you only need a screwdriver, hex key, wire stripper/cutter, and some electrical tape, it's so easy to do a 6 yr old could handle it as long as s/he reads the step by step. Edit by Circ: If you've got questions about modding your stick, you can get more info here. -
I'll play GG with you and get my ass whupped after it's released on PSN/XBLA I don't want to search for a PS2 stick or use the pad and end up getting blisters.

1. Learn the combos with out having to mash them out. 2. If you want to learn how to block either; A. Be a nerd and read frame data for hours, or B. Get match experience and see what moves are + or - on block(punishable or not) and what you should be using to punish with by playing other people. CPUs do stupid shit in this game still(at least they burst now) You'll just have to be patient and learn how to break bad habits, as mashing against someone who knows what they're doing will fish for good CH's Also I believe this thread belongs in "Beginner Mode"
-
@Star uhh 2C CH you would be surprised at how you can catch people with it at times, also the grab combos I agree and disagree, it's for as much corner distance as possible though I can care less about them otherwise. Also just get more practice in.
-
Placing your staff on your body from a good distance(usually outside of an opponents attack range/hitbox) will prevent them from rushing you, as they get wary of being hit by the staff and punished for it. Same with during block strings, just make sure you space staff placing properly, and mix it up time to time, don't become obvious or fall into a pattern. But as said by above poster, go into training mode, set the computer to block all, and practice block switching(or set the dummy to mash a DP or some type of normal) that's really all I can offer.

He's named after a boss character, I'm sure he loves this game. Sadly the netplay is trash in some aspects I can only play with people 3bars or higher with low ping. Glad I have a local scene that meets regularly to play with.

US release date has already been "vaguely" told by Aksys, same day as PSVita release Feb 22nd, granted Aksys won't be on that gay ish(trying to do same day release for PS3/360/PSv), they're track record has shown thus far, CT was a 1week release difference, and CS was a month difference, so we can only hope that we'll get EX between Dec.17 - mid/late Jan. To not go completely off topic, Relius is a boss, can't wait to play him
-
If that's a 1st time since EX, that means that man is a Kami, I'd still rather see Shounen play however, he disappeared after CS2 dropped. He's still good though, yet I can never find any gameplay of him aside on XBL if he leaves spectator slots in his rooms.

Rui for top tier.
